CHAPTER 304: FEARLESS PRINCESS.

Leo and Lily reached a place where a giant ferris wheel was erected. Lily gasped as she craned her head to look at the marvel, and exclaimed, "How tall is this thing?"

Leo smiled and said, "It is tall enough that if you stand near the viewing point, you would be able to see the entire city."

Lily got excited and turned to Kyle, as he asked, "Uncle Kyle, please get the tickets."

Kyle nodded with a smile, and as he approached the ticket counter and after a quick security check they went inside a compartment. Lily was new to all this and as the compartment began to move she ran up to the viewing window and she was stunned as the scenery before her expanded. The horizon grew wider and so did the ’O’ formed by her lips.

Leo sat on the side and took out his mobile and clicked as many pictures of his little princess as he could. Lily realized what her father was doing and ran up to him and then they clicked a lot of selfies with Lily and Leo making all sorts of faces. The two of them were happy, and while they were taking the pictures, Snow called.

Lily accepted the call and Snow’s face appeared on the screen, and she smiled, "Oh, who is this beautiful girl?"

Lily replied with a smile, "Good Evening Ma, did you miss me?"

Snow nodded and asked back, "Did you miss me?"

Lily shook her head and leaned onto Leo’s chest as she said, "Nope, I have Baba with me. I am busy loving him."

Leo almost chuckled but held back when he saw Snow frowning. The young man took the phone from Lily and said, "My little ancestor, can you stop teasing you Ma? Weren’t you just telling me how you wanted her to be in these pictures?"

Lily caught his expression and understood that Leo was trying to prevent Snow from getting angry, and she replied, "Yes, but how can I say that to Ma? I am so shy."

That said, she buried her head in Leo’s chest. Snow’s frown vanished and then she shook her head as she asked, "Did you guys eat something?"

Leo nodded and asked her a few questions as well, and then Snow asked, "Did they approach you?"

The young man sighed and replied, "Yes, Stefan Grimm came over in the morning, and Harry Shrine sent a stalker to keep an eye but we lost them."

Snow frowned and exhorted, "You have to be careful. This is not going to be easy."

Leo smiled and assured her that he would pay more attention. After an hour, the call finished, and the Ferris Wheel finished it’s round. Lily asked while they were moving out of the Ferris Wheel compound, "Baba, why has mother become so easily irritated these days?"

Leo smiled and picked her up in his arms as he said, "It is because she is now pregnant. Your younger sibling is now living inside Ma’s tummy, and that is causing her brain to secrete various chemicals and that is why Ma is so moody these days. From now on, try not to displease her, please."

Lily nodded, and then they got in the car once again, before they headed back to the hotel. Kyle said, "Sir, just now we received two invitations. One of them comes from the Grimm Family head, they have organized a charity gala, and wish for us to attend."

Leo hummed and asked, "What about the second one?"

Kyle replied calmly, "The Young Master of the Shrine Family, Harry Shrine wishes to meet you for lunch tomorrow."

Leo sneered when he heard this. He leaned back in the chair, and asked, "So, did you get the results of the investigation I asked you?"

Kyle replied with some hesitation, "Sir, the data is being compiled and you will have it in your hands before the dinner."

Leo wasn’t someone who liked to make things difficult. He just replied, "Good."

Lily leaned back in the seat and swung her legs. Leo looked at her and asked, "What are you thinking about?"

Lily replied, "This person, Harry Shrine, the file said that he was a noble, right?"

Leo nodded and Lily continued, "Then what is so important that he wants to meet you tomorrow? Can’t he wait till the Charity Gala to meet you? After all, as a Noble, he must have been invited in person as well."

Leo took a thoughtful glance at his daughter before he nodded and said, "Yes, that is the logical explanation, however, I am sure that he is not calling me to meet him for fun. He wants to plot against us."

Lily scoffed and said, "What can he do in such a high profile open event? Try to show us down? He knows that we come from money, so he will be targeting our temperament and skills to appear noble."

Leo nodded and patted her head as he replied, "My darling, you have grown so wise."

Lily smiled brightly as she revealed a small gap between her teeth and said, "It is simply because of you, Baba. I have been listening to stories that Ma tells me from novels. I can tell how these rich wannabes act."

Leo smiled and then said, "Yes, since he is waiting to humiliate us, how about we humiliate him by stumping him?"

Lily shook her head and replied, "Baba, it is too common. Why do we even need to entertain him? If he speaks, let him speak, if he barks, then let him bark."

Leo shook his head and replied, "This is what you don’t understand. We have come here to represent not only us, but our nation and above that, to tell the world that back then your Ma didn’t make the wrong choice."

Lily thought for a bit and said, "Then you can decide what to do, I will follow your lead."

Leo nodded, as he turned his head back to look outside the window. In his mind, the system had issued two pings, ’Ping: Host, your daughter praised you as the best trainer and nurturer. Reward: Your teaching skill is upgraded to Impartation. You can directly impart one of your skills to you children once a year.’

Leo raised his brow and sucked in a cold breath as he mumbled, "Wasn’t this going to make the children super humans, too overpowered."

Then he asked for the second notification and the system showed, ’Ping: Host, your daughter is going to face the nobles of the Stag Nation soon, while she is ahead of her age, she still has a long way to go. You have to ensure that she does not fall victim to any sly plan they have planned and preserve her dignity and courage. Reward: Corpse Dissolving Card x20.’

Leo was surprised by the reward, but he agreed to handle the task regardless. Over the years, Leo has understood that the higher the reward, the higher the difficulty of the task. Thinking about it, he turned his attention to Lily and asked, "Love, if you had to take one skill from Baba, what would that be?"

Lily was surprised by the sudden question and then after thinking she said, "I would like to learn how you handle everything that happens around you? Like how you response in sudden escalations."

The young man smiled and replied, "Hmmm, good. For that you would have to work hard."

Lily pouted and thought that Leo was just teasing him. However, he could not impart his intelligence to her. It was an attribute and not a skill. Just when he was thinking about it, he realized that he indeed had a skill that he could pass on to Lily, ’Calm in Chaos.’

As he was thinking, they reached back to the hotel. They came back to their suite and Kyle placed an order for the food to be delivered at the room directly. As the security force, they were all very critical, they have been followed by someone from the Shrine family, what would they do if someone managed to come over and create trouble. Leo and Lily both didn’t want to face any unnecessary scenario, and agreed to have dinner inside the room itself.

Lily went to watch some cartoon with Lily and Kyle approached Leo with a tab in his hand. The guard said, "Sir, these are the results of the investigation."

Leo took the tab and looked at the various documents provided by Kyle. He asked, "Who handled these things?"

Kyle replied calmly, "It was done by Boss Markus, he activated all his contacts and gathered these things very stealthily."

Leo nodded as he kept reading the information before he shook his head and replied, "I knew that it was an insider job. However, to think that the Shrine Family is so blatant, I am surprised that none of these people can see this."

Kyle replied, "Sir, this is all unrecorded, and these nobles are too cowardly and also very sneaky. This was all discovered by a source, however, none of the people can track these back to the culprits."

Leo smiled and replied, "Kyle, if they were so foolish where they would be caught stealing, how can they be called nobles? The entire fortune of the Stag Nation royal family was founded on plundering the colonies they had three hundred years ago. A nation running on stolen money for three centuries, can you imagine how much they looted? The so called nobles are just gilded bandits."
