Leo and Stefan Grimm were delegating various tasks to the people regarding the clean up when suddenly, the former received a call from Markus. He picked it up and asked, "Yes, Marku..."

His words didn't even finish when Markus gave him all the details of what happened and how the status was. Leo asked in a shivering voice, "What is the status now? Are they safe?"

While he was talking to Markus, Stefan noticed that something was off, and coincidentally his phone also went off. He picked up the call and heard his daughter terrified and crying as she narrated the whole thing. Stefan Grimm opened his eyes and he said, "Don't worry, we will come over, right away."

He turned around to look at Leo who said, "Markus, I want names, identities and the puppeteer."

That said, he disconnected the call and when he turned to face Stefan Grimm, the latter took two steps back in shock. Leo's eyes had turned red, as if they would start bleeding at any given moment. However, the young man calmly asked, "Master Grimm, would you mind lending me a car?"

Stefan Grimm couldn't bring himself to speak, but only gestured for him to follow. The two of them came to the garage, and Leo took the driver seat without saying much. He put in the key and Stefan realized that Leo didn't intend to wait for him, so he quickly jumped in the passenger seat.

Leo floored the pedal and the car zoomed through the mansion and then the streets. He stopped directly at the hospital where Lily had been taken under the security of armed forces.

Markus took a deep breath and asked, "Zeenat, it is okay, you both did well to reach the embassy and then coming here. The armed convoy at the embassy has made an exception and also a violation. This whole issue has just turned into an international debacle. However, Ellyse and the rest are handling it so don't worry. Now tell me what happened after you called me?"

Zeenat was sitting on a steel bench and said, "They used armor piercing rounds to take out the rear window. The bullets didn't harm Young Miss, but one of them managed to graze Kyle's shoulder. However, by that time we had reached the embassy, and I waved out my passport and also a white tissue to show our intention. The soldiers posted there took action and covered for us before they shot two guys and the rest of the assailants ran away.

Then we were brought to this hospital, and Young Miss is undergoing treatment. The doctor has said that she is just exhausted from the stress. There is no sign of physical injury. You are not at fault and I am sure that Sir would understand."

They were sitting in a lobby outside the private ward. The ladies from the Grim family were also given a check and they were totally fine. However, they were just shocked and a special psychologist was talking to them on the side and reassuring them that everything was fine.

Zeenat shook her head and replied, "I don't know what to say, Boss. I feel like my blood is burning. Apart from Young Miss, ten other guards have been injured with all kind of injuries. How can we just take this lying down? Can't you do something about it?"

Markus shook his head and replied, "The people are investigating and we have the clues about who did this. Don't worry, they dared to offend someone that even god himself might think twice before. All I am worried is about the wrath that is about to follow now."

As soon as he finished talking, they heard a steady but deep echo of footsteps and instinctively turned to find Leo and Stefan Grimm coming over. Markus froze, and Zeenat stood up from the chair with her head bowed. They were scared of Leo's aura. It was reeking of blood. as if he had already come down from a mountain of bones and corpses.

Markus shivered, he has feared from Leo before but today, he got a sense of dread. Leo came closer and asked, "Lily.."

Markus could sense that his voice was hoarse as he was holding back his rage. He only turned to look at the door of the ward and Leo passed by him and entered the ward.

Inside the room, Lily was laying on a bed, her dress has been changed and she was now wearing the patient's garbs and a blanket covered her. Leo sat down on the stool beside the bed, and placed his hand on her hand. His phone rang, but he didn't answer it. He just stayed there, silently watching Lily sleep.

His eyes brimming with worry and fear, he didn't even breath loudly. While he was sitting in the room, outside, Zeenat received the call, it was from Snow, who demanded answers. Zeenat complied and Snow calmed down, she said, "Tell Leo to come back only when everything is accounted for."

Zeenat nodded and replied, "Yes, Ma'am."

That was it, the call was disconnected and as the Mistress of the house, Snow had gone ahead to talk to the government officials and ask them to pressure the foreign ministry of the Stag Nation.

Meanwhile, Anastasia had just called the Royal Palace, and asked for the King. She was waiting to hear back from the sovereign of the Stag Nation. Despite giving up her status as a noble, she still had some leverage and pull in the court. Now that her granddaughter has been targeted, she didn't care about anything and even if she had to call in the favor, she would do that.

Leo sat beside the bed for ten hours straight without even flinching. The sun came down, and it was the evening hour, Markus came inside the room, and said, "Sir, we have all the details."

Leo looked at him and stretched his hand. Markus handed over the small tab while controlling his shivering hands. Leo looked at the details with an indifferent face and tossed it back to Markus.

Markus was about to leave when Leo replied, "No one leaves the city. Tell Grimm to handle it."

The guard commander bowed and left the room with his back completely covered in sweat. The moment he came out, he was surrounded by the people outside asking for situation inside. Markus replied to them once that was done he went to Mister Grimm.

Everything said and done, Stefan asked, "What does Master Cardinal wish to do now?"

Markus replied, "He intends to settle with his own hands. However, I feel that wound come after Young Miss wakes up."

What they didn't know was that Lily had already shown signs of recovery. Her limbs were flinching as if she was trapped in a bad dream. Leo stayed close to her and sang her lullabies which soothed her mind. It was half past nine when Lily slowly opened up her eyes. She found Leo looking at him. Sitting here all this time, his blood flow had normalized and the blood in his eyes had retreated to normal. He smiled when Lily opened her eyes, and he asked, "Do you feel pain?"

Lily shook her head, and Leo leaned over to peck her forehead as he closed his eyes to prevent himself from crying, and said, "You did great. I heard from Zeenat that it was your idea. My darling, thank god that you are safe."

Lily smiled faintly before she said, "Baba, I am sleepy."

Leo smiled and rubbed her nose with his own as he said, "Hello Sleepy."

Lily's smile brightened and Leo said, "You rest here, I will go and have some food. Do you want to eat anything?"

Lily shook here head and Leo pecked her forehead once again before he said, "I will send Zeenat to come in."

The little girl nodded and gradually she closed her awaited zeenat to come inside.

Leo came out of the room, and said, "Markus, I want a blade and an unmarked vehicle."

Markus nodded and said, "I will arrange for the right away."

That said, Leo waited for a few minutes, before Markus said, "We have all the things that you asked for, Sir."

Leo nodded and said, "Lead me to it."

Five minutes later Markus gulped as he watched Leo rushing towards the Shrine family mansion alone with a machete tucked in his waist. He was going out with the intention to kill, and there was no way to stop him. He picked out his phone and called a few people from work and gave them one directive, not to meddle in the things about to go down and also stop the police from intervening as well.

His words were akin to the imperial command and none of the people denied. They all wanted to see what would happen now. After all, this was the matter of the lives of their colleagues and Young Miss. The person behind this would now face the Wrath of Leo Cardinal.
