Simon took his leave after the matters were arranged and Snow walked over from her room. She could hear everything from the room and asked, "Mayor Jinn is teaming up with Matilda, Why?"

Leo shrugged his shoulder and said, "I have no idea. It won't be money or assets. The government monitors things like this very closely. However, the fact that he is aware of my connection with Simon and the rest of his company means someone fed him with a spoon about this."

Snow furrowed her brows and asked, "Could it be because of Socrate? Back in the day, he was very close to Mayor Jinn. Could it be that he played the matchmaker here?"

Leo nodded slowly before he said, "Indeed, it is possible that he did. However the possibility is still low. Jinn won't have become the Mayor if he had deep involvement with dirty affairs from that time. I have another theory."

Snow sat across him and asked, "What do you think that would be?"

Leo tapped the armrest slowly and said, "We took down her network last time. It hasn't been long enough for her to cultivate a new network. If Jinn is willing to go so far, then I am sure she gave him something that surpasses money. Jinn is a man with great ambition we all know that, so I am sure she gave him a promise of power. Does that make any sense?"

Snow nodded and replied, "Honey, that makes perfect sense. How do we counter it?"

Leo picked up his phone and said, "Since he is after power, let me show him power."

Snow raised her brow in curiosity as Leo dialed a number. The call connected quickly and a cheerful voice sounded from the other side, "Hello, Master Cardinal. What made you recall me."

Leo smiles and replied, "Well, I wanted to ask you if the Sigil council has some connections with the political lobby, Master Aries."

He called Harley Aries. The Sigil Council might be upset with him, but they would never leave one of the Sigil Families behind because it would impact their reputation as well. After all, Sigils were noble.

Harley Aries asked, "What seems to be the problem?"

Leo stood up from the couch and began to explain the situation to him. The two exchanged thoughts back and forth before Harley Aries said, "You will have the information in your hands by the morning."

Leo replied, "Thank you very much for the support. I will send the latest vehicle developed by the company over to you. Have a few rides and give me some constructive criticism."

Harley chuckled and thanked Leo for the gift and then after a small talk the call was disconnected. Snow looked at Leo and asked, "Do you really trust them with all this? It is a sensitive issue you know?"

Leo nodded and replied, "It may be a sensitive issue, but it is about a Sigil Family. Someone is trying to make a move on a Sigil Family, how could the others stay silent? What if after us, they target the others? Sigil Families are akin to a clan of wolves. We can have internal conflicts, but when someone tries to hunt one of our own, we stand united."

Snow nodded and said, "Well, whatever it is, the entire thing will start in the morning only. I will go to catch on some sleep. It was really tiring to go and visit all the houses."

Leo smiled and replied, "You could have called them all to gather at one place and then give them the gifts."

Snow rolled her eyes and said, "I suggested the same, but your daughter said, 'Ma, we are giving them gifts for the winter vacation, it is inappropriate to call them here.' so, I had to move around."

Leo chuckled and shook his head. He walked up to his wife and then took her hands before leading her to the room on the ground floor, and then headed to his own room.

Morning came soon, and Leo and Lily went out for the daily run. Kyle had taken a run around the course around them and he reported the place to be clear. There was not stalker, or the men sent by Matilda and the rest to keep an eye on them. After running they came back home, and just as they began to practice boxing as it started snowing.

Leo moved back inside the house, and Lily pouted as she said, "Why does it always Snow when I am about to land a punch at you Baba?"

Leo chuckled and said, "Because, Snow will always protect me."

Then he hugged his wife who just came out of her room. Snow smacked Leo's shoulder and said, "Go, and take a shower first, stinky."

Leo chuckled and held her face before he kissed her and said, "You smell like the Roses."

Snow opened her eyes wide and then she blushed, "Lily is here, what are you doing. Hmph."

Looking at her acting so coy, Leo sensed a flame burning in his heart before he took a deep breath and rushed up to take a cold shower and extinguish his desires and then came out only to find Simon sitting in the living room.

Leo raised his head and asked, "Why have you come over so early in the morning?"

Simon stood up and said, "Sir, we found something interesting."

Leo furrowed his brows and Simon quickly handed him a file, and said, "This was discovered last night. My boys found that the traffickers were carrying out some sort of transfer, and we foiled their plans, but it happened outside the city borders. From one of the captives we found out that it is indeed as you suspected.

We specifically asked her if they heard anything about you. She recognized you by name because her village has received aid from the fund. She confirmed that these people have been trying to conspire against you, as for what the conspiracy is, she is unaware."

Leo saw the pictures of the girls that have been rescued and asked, "Did you get to know how they were taken away?"

Simon nodded and replied, "They were kidnapped, and the fact to pay attention is that all these girls have been picked up from the villages you helped."

Leo's gaze turned cold and at this moment the two men heard a soft voice, "These evil people."

They turned around and spotted Lily shivering as rage dripped down her face. She was holding a photograph that seemed to have fallen to the side. Leo handed the file to Simon and replied, "Don't worry, Baba will get them."

He hugged the little girl and patted her back to console her. After that, Lily said, "Baba, you have to promise me. They must suffer, these people, how can they do this to children? What did they do wrong?"

Leo was also seething in rage, but first he had to calm down his daughter. Snow heard the commotion and came over with a concerned face. She wanted to ask what happened, when Leo gestured for her to take Lily. She could see his eyes were flaming with rage, and she nodded. She took Lily in her arms and coaxed her gently before heading to the dining room.

Leo stood up and said, "I think we can tell what they want to do."

Simon nodded and replied, "As soon as we start investigating deeply, they will frame us for colluding with the actual criminal, and to save himself, that criminal will throw the blame to us."

Leo nodded, and replied, "There is a simple solution to foil their plans, and then we would need to deal with the masterminds in the dark."

Simon smiled and said, "Sir, tell me how do you intend to deal with these men?"

Leo replied coldly, "Do you know what a bloody eagle is?"

Simon shook his head and Leo said, "Come along, Jock and his brothers will show you."

The day was calm, Leo got the details sent by Harley Aries. He read the file in his office, and the more he read, the more shocked he was, when he closed the file, he mumbled, "You dared to mess with me, and have designs for my family. Mayor Jinn, this time, you will regret the results of blind ambition."

The next morning, there was a breaking news all across the world. Twenty men were found dead in the Angkor City. The victims all had their bodies hung from poles along road leading to the Secretariat, they all had their ribs sticking out of their torso, and their visceral organs were removed as well.

The sight was horrific, but the police found notes under the poles, stating that these men were traffickers and they were sent to the world beyond where they would answer for their crimes.

The city was in a rush, and everyone was in panic, which caused the Governor of the region to announce a two days lock down in the city, and this would allow the police to investigate quicker.

However, some people in the Mayor's office were shivering, not from rage, but fear. They realized something, but it was too late.
