    As I gritted my teeth and inhaled sharply in frustration, I flipped my wrist to reveal

    the silver needle hidden in my sleeve.

    All that effort was for nothing-I had brought him back from miles away, believing I

    was doing him a favor.

    Should I make him suffer like those rogues, every nerve screaming in pain? Or

    maybe I should go for the lower blow, ruin his manhood, and make sure he never

    dares to flirt with another woman again?

    Since he took advantage of me like that, the least I could do was devise the

    "Ahem!" I cleared my throat awkwardly, then said slowly, "Ms. Melody, you''ve

    seen how Truman''s been harassing me these past few days. Today, he even

    followed me. He clearly had some shady intentions."

    "He had shady intentions with you?" Melody arched a brow, giving us both a long,

    amused look.

    The way she nced between us made it very clear what she was thinking.

    Judging by the position you two are in right now, are you sure it wasn''t the other

    way around?

    I caught on immediately and shot a quick nce at Truman-out cold and entirely

    at my mercy. "Of course," I said firmly. "He couldn''t win, so I took him down. What

    you''re seeing now is the result. And honestly, I hope this helps you see his true

    colors."

    me skeptically, lifting one eyebrow again.
