I ordered food at the restaurant, looked around found a seat by the window and sat down. Just as I was about to send Mary a message, a figure suddenly appeared in front of me.

A ck coat, sharply tailored, carrying a familiar rebellious aura.

I looked up and sure enough saw Adrian’s handsome yet dangerous face smiling at me:

“Aurora.”

I was stunned: “Adrian? How are you here?”

“Didn’t you have Mary call to say the specialty pasta here is really good?” As he spoke, he

leisurely pulled out a chair and sat down.

I felt slightly choked up.

So… Mary didn’t want to eat pasta – she wanted to arrange for us to meet.

I forced a smile: “Yes, my memory… I almost forgot.”

I nced at the crowded store entrance: “I’ll treat youter.”

“Sounds good.” His voice was deep, carrying his usual gentleness andposure. “You

liked treating me to food when you were little top.”

Iughed softly but didn’t respond.

There were too many people queuing, so we could onlye out and walk around first. I rubbed my hands the street wind was a bit cold. The snow wasn’t falling heavily, but it had umted quite thickly.

“This restaurant has always been so busy. I remember there were lots of people when we were kids too… truly unchanged after all these decades.”

Adrian didn’t speak, but suddenly took off his military leather gloves and grabbed my cold

hands without warning, stuffing them into his coat pocket.

I was startled and tried to pull my hands back, but he held them tightly.

“Your hands were always this cold as a child. You used to press them against my face, freezing me until I shivered in the middle of the night.” He chuckled softly, then actually

pressed my hand against his cheek, as if remembering something, his expression inexplicably gentle.

I instinctively looked away but couldn’t get my hand back.

And at this moment-

I didn’t know that Ferris was standing not far away.

After Mary said those words, he had rushed out of the kitchen.

“Bang-”

He crashed into the cab in the kitchen corner. Several ss bottles fell down and

shattered on the floor, one even hitting the back of his hand.

Ferris’s originally slender, beautiful hand instantly became red, swollen, and bruised.

He ignored it, didn’t even treat it.

These past days, he had memorized the position of every item in the house clearly. But objects could be moved by people at any time, like today-

He bumped into table corners several times before fumbling his way out, then immediately

called Simon.

He had Simon bring him to the west part of the city to find me.

He said he needed to find me.

Five or six minutester, Simon arrived and saw Ferris standing in the snow from a distance, his whole body stiff and cold, like a blind man who had lost his direction.

“What happened?” He hurried over without remembering to bring an umbre, feeling a bit panicked.

Ferris didn’t answer his question, just said tly “Go to the west part of the city, find a

restaurant called Green Leaf.”

Simon was stunned: “…Okay.”

When they arrived, they happened to see Adrian and me sitting together.

More precisely, Adrian was holding my hand, hidden in his coat pocket, while I sat there stunned and motionless, and he smiled down at me – an extremely intimate scene.

Ferris sat in the car.

Of course he couldn’t see any of this. But he heard Simon’s silence, then heard him change

his form of address.

No longer calling me “Luna,” but using “Aurora” instead.

Ferris sensed something was wrong, his tone still calm: “What are they doing?”

Simon hesitated, then spoke truthfully:

“Pulling and tugging… like young lovers.”

The car became terrifyingly quiet for a moment.

Ferris said nothing, as if digesting this information.
