ALPHA’S REGRET: FALSE MATE, TRUE LUNA
TRUE 265
bChapter /bb265 /b
Nigel’s legs trembled uncontrobly with fear.
“Alpha Ferris, please don’t be angry. How could I hurt my sister? I’ll have the withdraw thewsuit immediately.”
It wasn’t until Ferris’s car drove away that Nigel breathed a sigh of relief, no longer daring to make big ims, and knowing that the free eight billion was beyond his reach.
He never expected that Ferris would actually stand up for his useless sister, when he used to dislike Aurora the most.
When Edward returned and saw his injured son, he was furious.
“How could she be so ruthless?”
“It wasn’t her, it was a bodyguard by her side,” Nigel answered.
Edward wanted to say more, but Nigel told him that Ferris had intervened in this matter and they had to withdraw thewsuit.
Edward fell silent after hearing this.
“I never thought Ferris still had some feelings for her.”
On my way back, I received a call fromwyer Leo saying that Edward and the others had withdrawn theirwsuit.
I waspletely relieved.
I’d been feeling nauseous from time to time due to pregnancytely, so I wanted to go out for a walk, stepping on the umted snow with cold wind brushing my face.
I don’t know how long I walked when suddenly my gaze froze.
In the distance, Edward in an expensive coat was walking toward me.
My pupils contracted sharply as memories of Edward forcing me to marry flooded back.
I knew that Edward hade looking for me a few days ago. Seeing me living in such a shabby ce then, he hadn’t wanted to acknowledge me.
But yesterday, after his son was warned by Ferris, he felt bI /bstill had some use.
“Aurora, I finally found you.” Edward came before
me, wearing leather gloves, directly grasping my hand, his eyes full of paternal love.
I knew all too well about my biological father’s changes – he only showed me kindness when he needed something from me.
I directly pulled my hand away.
“You should just call me by my name. We’ve already severed our father–daughter rtionship.”
Edward’s face stiffened, his hand also withdrawing into his bcoat/b, a cold smile ying at his lips: “I am your father. It’s not something you can sever just by saying so.”
My hanging hand clenched tightly, fingertips digging deep into my palm.
“What exactly do you want here? Standing up for Nigelb?/bb” /b
Edward didn’t answer, looking me up and down. “You’ve be more beautiful and learned to dress bup/bb./bb” /b
The way he looked at me made me feel disgusted, as if he was calcting how much value bI /bstill had.
b“/bbI /bjust wanted to see you and take you to live with us. About your brother’s mater, it was his fault. He struck first. I know everything.”

bIf /bbI /bbdidn’t /bunderstand Edward, I couldn’t see through his hypocrisy now.
A cold mockery shed through my beautiful, deep eyes: “Who are you nning to sell me to this fime? Or do you want to use me to gain some benefit?”

Looking at my eyes, he wanted nothing more than to dig them out and crush them.
I ignored his words: “Will you leave on your own, or shall I ask you to leave?”
Edward ultimately returned empty handed.
On his way back, all he could think of were those cold eyes when I looked at li
