ALPHA’S REGRET: FALSE MATE, TRUE LUNA
TRUE 334
Chapter b334 /b
Estonia, Hospital.
The phone rang, and Adrian’s friend Benjamin stepped forward to pick it up. Seeing the name on the contact, he frowned slightly.
“Adrian’s been in trouble for so long, and only now calling–how heartless.”
Benjamin looked toward the hospital bed where Adriany covered in injuries and connected to medical equipment, then answered coldly:
“This number has changed hands. Don’t call again.”
With that, he decisively hung up the phone.
“Adrian, don’t me me. You should find someone suitable instead of entangling with a married woman.”
After saying this, Benjamin blocked the number and put the phone back on the bedside table.
When I tried calling Adrian again, it went straight to busy signal.
Just as I was puzzled, my phone rang again–it was the investigator I had hired.
“Miss, the results are in. Helena and Edward are biological father and daughter. I’m sending you the paternity test image.”
I gripped the phone tightly, my fingertips turning pale.
Although I had suspected thisb, /bhearing the confirmation still shocked me.
Edward had betrayed the family long ago and had a child with another woman.
I never imagined someone’s acting skills could be so convincing–he probably even deceived himself.
After hanging up, I stared at the paternity test for a long time, lost in thought.
I don’t know how much time passed before Leo thewyer’s call brought me back to reality.
“How did it go?b” /b
“The legal notice bdomandi/bb. /b
Chapter b334 /b
“Thank you for your trouble.”
I wanted Edward to lose sleep over this.
Soon after, Edward’s calls came one after another. I put my phone on silent and ignored them.
Ferris had gone to work, leaving only Mary and me at home.
Seeing I hadn’te out of my room, Mary knocked and came to find me.
“Aurora, what’s wrong?b” /b
I held nothing back from Mary: “Edward has another biological daughter, over a year older than me, named Helena.”
Hearing this, Mary didn’t say anything but hugged me and gently patted my back.
I fought back the bitterness: “So he’s been deceiving Mom and me all along.”
Mother often said: “Your father was very handsome and talented when he was young. He would be the strongest leader in the pack. I wasn’t worthy of him–I couldn’t hold him back from marrying a better she–wolf.”
Mother felt she owed Edward until her death.
But this man had perhaps betrayed Mother from the very beginning.
Maryforted me: “Aurora, such people aren’t worth our sadness.”
“Yes.” I nodded. “I just can’t believe he’s my biological father.”
I had done a paternity test at the hospital long ago–I was indeed Edward’s daughter.
But why, being his daughters equally, was Edward so biased and cruel to me?
Some things I might never bget /banswers to in this lifetime.
I had people continue investigating Edward’s past. Everything he stole, I would take back eventually.
A maid appeared at the door at some point, asking carefully: “Madam, there’s a guest.”
A guest?
Who could it be at this timeb? /b
“Someone who looks exactly like Mr. Ferris.”
Exactly like Ferris… that would be Dennis?
