Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins
Chapter 94-Their Evil Aunt
CHAPTER 94: 94-THEIR EVIL AUNT
Iris:
It had been a whole day, and we were trying to shake the tiredness from our bodies.
However, Kash continued to work. I noticed that he even went to the office the very next day.
We were holding off the launch of the perfume for a few days because I wanted to deal with my son first.
In the meantime, Lara had left for the South.
Their engagement ceremony was right around the corner, and I knew that his desire for the blue water had nothing to do with my son’s condition, since we now had the cure.
Even from the beginning, he had wanted the blue water for his own power. At least, that was what I gathered.
Luca had not come around either. After that day, he left and never returned.
He told my mother he was busy in the woods, which meant he was in the Lycan community.
"Did you speak with Kash?" my mother asked as we watched my kids play on the swings in the park.
I had wanted to take them to the park to enjoy some time together, but my mother had insisted on tagging along.
"He said he will text me when he is coming home with the cure," I replied, smiling at my kids to show them I was still there for them.
"And did you make a plan on how you are going to ask him to give you the cure so that Colin takes it away from his presence?" my mother questioned. I shrugged, folding my arms over my chest, and walked to the nearest bench before sitting down, keeping one eye on my children.
My mother followed and sat down after inspecting the bench for cleanliness.
"Wasn’t it supposed to be your job? I mean, you are the one making plans throughout. Now suddenly you want me to come up with an idea?" I retorted, calling her out on trying to manipulate me, cooking up plans like she always did.
"Well, he used to be your husband. You know him well, so think of a plan, because you know the herbs wouldn’t work unless they are given to my son," my mother stated, straightening her back and watching the children play on the swings and slides.
"Let’s not forget, it’s my son’s sickness, it only reflects on yours because they are linked now," she added.
Although I had so much to say, I held it in. Repeating myself to her had gotten me nowhere. She simply did not care.
It was as if Kash had heard us talking, because his message popped up on my screen.
"Who is it?" my mother asked as soon as she heard my phone ring.
"It’s Kash," I said, opening his text.
Ex husband: If it is okay, I’ll bring the herbs tonight. I cannot wait for my son to take the first dose and feel better.
I read his message aloud, and a flicker of hope stirred inside me. A smile crept onto my lips at the thought of my son finally feeling better.
"What does he mean by ’coming over’? Just tell him to send the herbs," my mother insisted, reminding me there was nothing to be happy about.
To think she could not understand how unfair it was, that it wasn’t even my son’s sickness, but she had dragged him into it.
My brother’s condition was not Colin’s fault, or was she just angry that her son had to be sick and mine didn’t?
"Let him come over, and then I will try to send him away," I said to her after taking a deep breath.
"Well, I hope he is mature enough to focus on letting Colin take the herb instead of standing over him to make sure he takes it in front of him," my mother hissed, making me silently grind my teeth.
The kids played for a few more minutes before we finally called it a day.
I gathered them and took them to the car.
When we arrived home, I saw Zoe outside with Marcus.
The minute she saw us, she rushed over, reaching the garden, with Marcus and the Warriors holding toys behind her.
I already knew what was going on.
"Kids," she called out. As soon as Colin and Amy got out of the car, they stared at each other and then at me.
"Let’s go inside," I said to them, gently patting Colin’s back.
However, Zoe had already arrived, standing in their way and stopping them from leaving.
"Zoe, you cannot force yourself into their lives," I hissed under my breath, keeping one hand on Amy and the other on Colin’s shoulder.
"I just want to speak with them. They need to know their father has a sister and that they have an aunt," Zoe replied.
Her words made my kids immediately react. They smiled at each other and then looked up at me, their bright smiles shining in my face.
"Well, they don’t need to meet you. Knowing you, they should also know you’re not a good aunt," I said.
Since she had no shame, I decided to push back, even though I normally avoid involving my kids in adult drama.
This time, it was necessary. They needed to differentiate between friends and foes, especially since I could not do the same for my mother due to the pressure she exerted on me.
But I could do it with others, like Zoe, who I knew was an evil person who would not think twice before hurting them.
The minute I called her a bad aunt, I noticed my kids slowly stepping behind me, and it was reflected on Zoe’s face. She did not like it.
"What are you doing?" she complained. "Are you seriously going to hold them against us as weapons?"
"No, you’re the one holding them over my head as a weapon. My kids don’t need to get involved with you or any of your other family members. If you don’t believe me, you can ask them yourselves," I said, stepping to the side and exposing my children to her.
It was necessary that she hear it from them.
"Really? Okay, then let’s hear it from them," she said, speaking carefully with a hint of cunning.
"Kids, would you like to meet your aunt and spend time with her? I brought you gifts, and trust me, I’m a very fun aunt. I am your father’s sister, and he loves me a lot," she said, squatting down to speak directly to them.
Now, it was up to them to decide.
