Sisley explained that he had traveled to many places during his journey: Africa, East Asia, and Northern Europe. Many ancient packs that revered the swallow as a totem had long since passed away, and their descendants had been assimilated into society, their ancestral beliefs mostly lost.

"In South Asia, I visited a pack's district where the ancestors of its residents were once Europeans. Their belief was in the Swallow Goddess, said to be one of the incarnations of the Goddess of Nature."
