Chapter 1275: Chapter 436: Well Done
Sigmund Woberg has not been in a good mood these past two days.
He had already received the news, Jimmy Chandler and Joan Harrison had disappeared, and another woman from the Harrison family had appeared beside Cameron Block.
Emma Harrison.
He wasn’t familiar with this woman, and now he didn’t want to know anything about her.
What Sigmund Woberg was concerned about now was where Joan Harrison and Jimmy Chandler had gone.
Because he was worried that his people might be targeted by Cameron Block’s men, Sigmund Woberg had initially agreed with his team to contact the one doing the secret filming every three days to see how far those two had gotten.
“Could it be that these two have really eloped?”
Sigmund Woberg shook his head, thinking the likelihood was low. A woman from such a prominent family as Joan Harrison wouldn’t elope with Jimmy Chandler even if she truly liked him; at most, she would secretly support him outside.
“Could it be that Cameron Block discovered them and then eliminated them?”
Thinking about this possibility, Sigmund Woberg laughed at himself, preferring to believe the previous assumption rather than accepting this possibility. It would take a truly insane person to do such a thing.
Unable to comprehend all this, Sigmund Woberg could only urge his people in Los Angeles to quickly investigate the matter.
This matter was troubling Sigmund Woberg, not just because Joan Harrison and Jimmy Chandler had disappeared, but because he was responsible for it. Anthony Rothschild was still waiting for news.
If he couldn’t even handle this matter well, Sigmund Woberg was worried that his importance in Anthony Rothschild’s eyes would diminish.
Now, whether it’s avenging Donnie Block or restoring the glory of the Woburg family, he must rely on the power of the Rothschild family.
On this point, Sigmund Woberg was very aware.
Sighing, Sigmund Woberg organized all the documents on his desk; it was his habit. He always made sure that everything around him was very orderly, including the documents on his desk.
After finishing all this, Sigmund Woberg got up and left his office.
As he came out, he happened to run into Anthony Rothschild in the larger office next door.
“Sigmund, how is that matter proceeding?” Anthony Rothschild asked Sigmund Woberg with a smile.
Sigmund Woberg knew Anthony Rothschild was referring to the affairs in Los Angeles: “Everything is progressing. I believe we’ll soon get the result we want.”
Anthony Rothschild smiled and looked at Sigmund Woberg with satisfaction: “Very good, you always handle things so reliably!”
“Thank you, sir!” Sigmund Woberg nodded in gratitude.
“Just so happens, I heard there’s a new Mexican grill opened by Central Park. I haven’t been yet, but many have said the food there is delicious. Let’s try it out together.”
Anthony Rothschild suggested to Sigmund Woberg.
Sigmund Woberg nodded quickly: “It would be my honor!”
The two took a ride to Central Park and found the Mexican grill. Perhaps it was truly good, as once they arrived, there were no vacant tables available.
Upon learning this, Anthony Rothschild frowned slightly; he didn’t like this feeling.
“Sir, let me handle this!”
Seeing Anthony Rothschild’s expression, Sigmund Woberg said with a smile.
“Alright!” Anthony Rothschild nodded, revealing a smile.
Sure enough, Sigmund Woberg walked into the restaurant, and in less than two minutes, a table of guests left. Sigmund Woberg then invited Anthony Rothschild over.
“Sigmund, what would I do without you by my side!”
Sitting down, Sigmund Woberg humbly said: “It is my honor to always stay by your side, Mr. Rothschild!”
Anthony Rothschild laughed heartily.
After eating, the two left the restaurant. Anthony Rothschild took a car to depart, while Sigmund Woberg left on foot.
It wasn’t very far from where he needed to go, and Sigmund Woberg had once heard an elderly man from the East say a secret to longevity.
“Walk a hundred steps after meals, live to ninety-nine!”
Sigmund Woberg knew that dealing with Donnie Block was not something that could be accomplished in a short period, so he was acutely aware that he needed a strong body.
Otherwise, if he died and Donnie lived, how could he carry out his revenge!
For this goal, Sigmund Woberg had specifically quit smoking and given up women, all just for a healthy body.
The only thing that allowed Sigmund Woberg to relax a bit was occasionally having a drink.
Today was no exception; he went to an underground bar near his home, which was a high-end underground bar where he didn’t have to worry about any unexpected problems.
The bartender saw Sigmund Woberg and slightly pursed his lips. He knew Sigmund Woberg; after all, only Sigmund Woberg, dressed in high fashion, came to the bar and drank just one glass of red wine each time.
