Chapter 608: Chapter 281 Purchasing Black Hawk_3
“Are there any other companies that have offered a higher bid than me?” Allen Zhang asked.
“No, doing so is just to avoid bringing any trouble to the clients. Selling too many arms to just one company could likely attract special attention. Although these are just a few retired helicopters with finalized deals, you should understand, there are always people looking for trouble, coming to me talk about rules and regulations.”
Colonel Wood explained, expressing dissatisfaction, “What you may not know is that, after you left yesterday, CIA agents entered Mr. Madison’s private island without any legal permission and without authorization, and they captured shareholders of the Blue Pharmaceutical Company who were vacationing there. Even Mr. Madison was investigated, accused of harboring criminals. He might even be temporarily detained by the relevant departments in Los Angeles, taken for ‘a tea.’ But don’t worry too much, Mr. Madison knows many people, and he will easily resolve this matter.”
“Really?” Allen Zhang feigned surprise, “Why would they do that?”
“It’s simply because they didn’t get a share of the loot, weren’t given enough profits. They are also involved, not letting others in simply because they haven’t had their fill,” Colonel Wood snorted.
If it was really just some hot-blooded young fools, they couldn’t climb up or squeeze into this circle.
The reason for the trouble is none other than internal struggles leading to failure, people catching others’ weaknesses. Or maybe just being used as the sacrificial chicken to warn the monkeys.
You can act recklessly, sell prohibited drugs, even deal in the filthy operations of drug or human trafficking, but you cannot let these deeds come to light in front of the citizens.
Where would they put their face then?
Also, did you pay your taxes?
Sieg also sighed deeply, deeply feeling the weight of the statement.
“I might have been targeted by them due to this issue, but currently, I don’t know what they might do to me,” Colonel Wood said, “But without solid evidence, they can’t really do anything to me. If they want to charge me with a crime, they have to go through my superior; they simply don’t have the strength to target the power behind me.”
“Speaking of which, when I was in the town earlier, I did notice a tenant who was somewhat unusual; his watch had an inner clasp, looked a bit like those worn by CIA agents,” Allen Zhang pondered.
Colonel Wood was immediately alarmed, “Really?”
Immediately, he frowned, took out his cell phone, contacted someone, and soon received a message, his expression relaxed.
“Those guys probably just want to gather evidence of my illegal arms sales, nothing serious. I’ll solve it; I assure you everything I do is legal and regulated, leaving no trace.”
He then took out a contract, signed his name, “Likewise, Mr. Jin, you just need to sign your name on the arms trade contract, and the deal will be sealed, I guarantee there will be no trouble.”
Allen Zhang glanced at the contents of the contract, noting it was an official military arms document, with the sale price for each retired Black Hawk Helicopter left blank.
But he purchased four Black Hawk helicopters at the price of 2.6 million US Dollars each, totaling 10.4 million.
No issues there, he immediately filled in the delivery address, an outlying hangar, and signed the contract.
“This is our payment account, you need to divide the total amount into four separate payments, to these accounts,” Colonel Wood provided a few bank accounts.
Allen Zhang checked them, they were three private accounts and one official account, he then proceeded to transfer 30% of the deposit under the name of the Foundation.
Colonel Wood received the notification of the deposited funds, smiling, raised his glass, “Mr. Jin, I am pleased with our collaboration, we will soon transport the Black Hawk Helicopters to the designated location.”
“Ok, pleased to collaborate,” Allen Zhang also smiled, raising his glass to drink.
