CHAPTER 612: CHAPTER 283: ARTWORK
Colonel Wood signed the contract, feeling refreshed, and then called over a few female noncommissioned officers from the base to give these capitalists massages, even starting the activities right in front of everyone, taking out a hookah from the drawer.
The General Sect Leader, in order to blend into the ambiance, didn’t refuse this time but restricted himself merely to touching.
Sieg stood in the corner watching their debauchery, their flesh trading. Really, there was no Fxxk to express it.
Mad, beasts.
The party went on until about two in the afternoon.
During that time, Allen Zhang also received a message from Pike Company’s manager Reko.
After a glance, he found that the batch of electronic waste at the disposal center was awaiting his approval and signature as the big boss. He replied to Reko, letting him know he could wait for him at the disposal center.
He was ready to leave immediately and declined Colonel Wood’s invitation to the evening party.
Bidding farewell under the other party’s enthusiastic send-off, he stepped out of the VIP lounge’s gate.
"If you like her, I could give her a leave to spend a couple of days with you," Colonel Wood, with a cigarette in his mouth, gestured towards the accompanying female noncommissioned officer.
Direct and undisguised propositioning right to his face.
The female noncommissioned officer was also a blond-haired, blue-eyed beauty with a fiery figure and wheat-colored skin, poised and impressive.
Allen Zhang also knew a bit about her, having asked for her name at a previous gathering. She hadn’t received military college education after graduating from high school and was a cashier at a convenience store before, but got to know a major by delivering food. Through her own efforts, she eventually became a female noncommissioned officer at the military base.
Although she was just a civilian and logistics staff member, one can only imagine how difficult her journey had been and how much she had sacrificed. Truly inspirational!
Allen Zhang tactfully declined Colonel Wood’s offer: "There are some things I need to take care of at my company, it’s not very convenient, maybe another day?"
The noncommissioned officer seemed quite disappointed upon hearing this, knowing well that the General Sect Leader was filthy rich, having acquired a company with annual revenue in the billions, building his wealth by selling oil fields, living in the wealthy residential areas of Los Angeles, and owning a private Estate Ranch.
A bona fide diamond bachelor.
If she could cling to the General Sect Leader, she could opt for an honorable retirement and enjoy life.
After all, reaching the rank of a noncommissioned officer through back-doors meant her career had likely peaked.
Even if she couldn’t marry him, bearing two children for the General Sect Leader would mean she wouldn’t have to worry about living expenses.
Colonel Wood also expressed his regret, having to wait for another time, watching as the General Sect Leader got into the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, waved goodbye, and left the military base.
Passing through a small town, Allen Zhang saw through the windows military vehicles parked by the road, several fully armed soldiers, and FBI personnel in the presence of onlookers directly arresting several motel tenants and loading them into the vehicles.
"Boss, these must be those unlucky auditors, right? They’re so ruthless, beating them bloody?"
Sieg also saw one of the auditors beaten black and blue, seemingly attempting to resist but getting beaten up. If not for the crowd nearby, they would likely have been shot on the spot. Even so, the fate awaiting them wouldn’t be too good.
"No need to stop, just go on," Allen Zhang instructed Sieg.
Sieg nodded, pressing the accelerator without hesitation and drove away from the town.
At three in the afternoon, they returned to the disposal center in the outskirts of Los Angeles.
Allen Zhang got out of the car and saw the manager Reko, who had been waiting for a long time, along with a few Beggar Gang Disciples and the site’s staff.
Nearby were several trash trucks outsourced by Pike Company for transporting goods.
Allen Zhang walked over with his people to greet them. Seeing the General Sect Leader arrive, Reko and his team were very enthusiastic to meet him, "Boss, you’re here! This disposal center has also signed a recycling contract with us. There is a batch of 100 tons of electronic waste that needs to be recycled."
"Shouldn’t there be a manager in charge of this kind of thing?" asked Allen Zhang.
"Boss, it used to be Pike or the acquisition department’s managers who signed off, but now that the company has been acquired by you, the procedure has changed. We need your signature and stamp before we can proceed with the proper purchase transaction," Reko explained. "The cost price of this hundred tons of electronic waste isn’t cheap either."
"How expensive can it be? No matter how costly, it’s just some waste. The recycling price can’t exceed one hundred thousand dollars, can it?" Allen Zhang wondered.
"Well, it doesn’t cost that much. The most expensive electronic waste is just large screen LCD TVs and monitors, at 7.5 dollars per pound. This hundred tons of waste comes in many varieties, and at most, it would be worth around sixty thousand dollars. However, there is another batch of goods, which are some movie companies’ DVDs. They also want to package and sell them to us. The staff said those are videotapes produced by some Hollywood movie companies last century that are no longer available on the market, and they want to sell them to us for one hundred thousand dollars," Reko said.
"Bring them to me for a look," Allen Zhang, having understood through intelligence, promptly signaled Reko to buy those raunchy tapes and DVDs for review. Without seeing them, how could he gauge their worth?
Whether they were worth one hundred thousand dollars or not, the General Sect Leader would know at a glance.
Reko immediately found the equipment to play the discs and videotapes, getting the tapes and DVDs from the staff and inserting them for setup and playback. Soon, the LCD monitor displayed colorful images.
