CHAPTER 1245: PART 1: FIGHTING AGAINST BELLA (INNER HALL)

From MC’s Perspective:

Duel Arena

It didn’t take long for the warriors to fill the seats in the duel arena. The faction leaders and main leaders had arrived as well.

It was time for the participants to enter. This time, middle-aged Ben didn’t show up; he was still undergoing treatment.

Isaac and Bella were the ones who walked into the arena. I saw them entering, their expressions far from pleasant. They looked cold and arrogant.

"Today, you won’t be able to use the same tricks," Isaac said in a cold tone.

Bella flashed a chilling smile. They brushed past me and headed toward the fighting platform.

Cheers!

The crowd erupted in loud cheers upon seeing them, especially the Blazing Fire Faction warriors, who were the most vocal.

They reached the fighting platform. Bella stepped onto it, while Isaac remained outside.

Seeing this, I decided to enter the arena. But before I could, the old referee walked in. The crowd responded enthusiastically to his appearance as well.

I entered the duel arena and headed toward the fighting platform. The audience roared as they saw me, but the cheers were noticeably quieter compared to those for the Blazing Fire Faction warriors.

I realized yesterday’s duel had disappointed them.

When I reached the platform, I stood opposite Bella. Looking at her, I understood she would be my opponent.

I glanced at Isaac, who was grinning ear to ear, then at the old referee. The crowd was still making a lot of noise.

The referee waited for the higher-ups to give the order.

Swoosh!

Dean Jerome and the Purple Mark Guard appeared above the fighting platform, standing in mid-air.

Looking at Bella and Zack, Dean Jerome smiled. He was clearly looking forward to the duel.

The Purple Mark Guard, however, seemed tense. He wasn’t sure what Zack Lockwood would do. Like others, he doubted he could fool Bella today.

Dean Jerome gave the signal to the referee to start the duel.

Meanwhile, the referee received the order. The next moment, he activated the barrier. A solid barrier began to envelop the fighting platform.

On the platform, I noticed the barrier forming. My expression grew serious as it completely enclosed the space.

Boom!

The referee signaled the start of the fight.

Bella smirked before launching her attack. She shot a dark red ball toward me.

Using my perception ability, the area around me became clear in my mind. The dark red ball seemed to move in slow motion.

Her flames were different from those of the middle-aged Ben.

Boom!

As the dark red ball was about to hit me, I sidestepped just enough to avoid it.

The ball struck the empty ground and exploded, sending dark red sparks scattering across the platform. The sparks created a crackling noise wherever they landed, accompanied by a booming sound.

I dodged the sparks one by one, not letting a single one touch me.

Gasp!

The crowd gasped in shock. They were surprised to see Zack using the same tactics again.

Bella grinned widely. She hadn’t expected Zack to rely on the same trick, but it boosted her confidence in winning the duel.

Earlier, she had worried he might use his Inheritance Force against her, but now she was pleased.

Even Isaac, standing outside the platform, sighed in relief.

The referee sighed inwardly. Like others, he had been looking forward to the duel, but seeing Zack’s actions, he shook his head in disappointment.

Inside the platform, Bella continued her assault with dark red flame attacks.

Boom!

One after another, the red flames shot toward me. To the outside world, her attacks seemed lightning-fast, but he evaded them with equal speed.

The crowd was astonished by Zack’s evasion skills.

As time passed, Bella grew frustrated. None of her attacks landed on Zack. Isaac, too, began to worry.

Zack’s evasion skills were stronger than before, and she couldn’t figure out what was going on in his mind.

Bella suddenly stopped her technique. Her Inheritance Force was depleting rapidly, and she didn’t want to exhaust it before defeating Zack.

Meanwhile, Dean Jerome squinted his eyes. He noticed Zack was performing better than before, but he wasn’t using his Inheritance Force.

Zack’s reactions were naturally fast, responding swiftly to each attack.

Even the Purple Mark Guard was shocked. He had never seen such evasion skills. He realized Bella must have used up some of her force, but it was all for nothing.

Knowing Zack would rely on the same tactic, Bella decided to use her Inheritance Force.

...

Viewing Block 1:

All the faction leaders were watching the duel. Seeing me use the same tactics again, some couldn’t hold back their criticism and began speaking out against Zack.

Old man Clifford remained silent. He trusted Zack. He had surprised everyone yesterday, and he believed Zack might do the same today.

Blazing Fire Faction Leader Elmer was also quiet. He was slightly disappointed with Bella, thinking she was wasting her Inheritance Force.

He also noticed Zack’s reaction speed was faster than yesterday, and I didn’t seem to be using any technique.

The Bloodline Faction leaders watched without commenting.

However, the Dew Water Faction leader was angry. She feared Zack might escape defeat today and hoped Bella would put more pressure on Zack.

The Dark Variant Faction leader remained silent, his thoughts unreadable. But he, too, was eager to see Zack’s Inheritance Force in action.

Meanwhile,

The main elders were engaged in a serious discussion. They couldn’t understand why Zack Lockwood wasn’t using his Inheritance Force at all.

Instead, he was forcing his opponents to deplete their Inheritance Power. Once they ran out of it, he would launch a surprise attack to defeat them.

Main Elder Austin remained silent, not responding to the others’ slander. However, he was furious deep down.

If not for his position, he would have confronted them already.

The other main elders of the Thunderflame Faction felt the same. They were restraining their anger.

The Elemental Faction’s main elders were the ones mocking Zack Lockwood the most.
