CHAPTER 51: CHAPTER 51

It’s been three days since school resumed, and Rhea is back in her apartment.

Rhea swayed her hips lazily in her apartment, waiting as the microwave hummed.

"Bitch who got you a car?"

Rhea’s heart jumped at the voice, her body spinning before her brain could catch up. "TIA!"

Tia squealed, dashing toward her, arms flying wide as her luggage tumbled carelessly onto the floor. "I just came back and I’m seeing a car parked in our room number spot." She threw herself into Rhea’s arms, a radiant smile lighting up her face.

Rhea laughed, hugging her tightly, warmth blooming in her chest. God, I missed her.

"Don’t tell me you are dating the CEO of your firm?" Tia wiggled her brow, still locked in the embrace.

"Oh come on." Rhea waved it off, "Far from it."

She turned to the food in the microwave.

"Far from it!" She exclaimed. She stepped away from Rhea scrutinising her. "Girl you’re glowing. C’mon, spill the tea, don’t leave me hanging."

"Babe calm down." She said slowly, "You literally just got came, I’m not going anywhere. I’m all yours, and so is the tea."

Tia squealed again, grabbed her luggage, dashed into her room, moving like a tornado, arranged her stuff, showered at record speed, and sprinted into the living room.

"I’m ready now." She pressed herself into the small spaces between Rhea and the couch.

Rhea’s chuckle broke into a laugh. "Tia, that didn’t even take up to five minutes, I’m not even done with my food yet."

"That was an eternity for me," Tia huffed dramatically. "Now, who is he? Who’s the lucky man who got my girl all so..." her eyes trailed deliberately across Rhea’s body, "...sexy and plump?"

Rhea looked into her plate.

I am the lucky one to be precise. Rhea thought.

But when she glanced back, Tia’s wide eyes glittered with curiosity, unrelenting like a rabbit staring at a carrot.

She choked on her food. Oh, Tia, how am I going to tell you that the weird perverted lecturer and I have been fucking and I wasn’t at any firm but his house, and he got me that car?

"Go on then." Tia nudged, bouncing in excitement.

Rhea cleared her throat, sliding her food aside, her palms sweating. "Okay... I’ve been seeing this gu—"

"Where did you meet?" She asked hurriedly, her voice laced with excitement.

"At the firm," Rhea replied

"So he’s your Boss."

A sigh escapes Rhea’s lips. Then spoke, "Tia calm down, let me finish."

"Oh sorry, go on, go on."

Rhea explained to her everything that happened on the island, but not exactly what happened; she didn’t tell her it was Zeenare, that she was at his house.

"So we are in a thing but not also in a thing. I don’t know if you understand."

"A guy you are in a thing with, getting you a car." Tia’s eyes were wide, her palms opened wide, "A Rolls-Royce! What kind of a thing can you both be having that is not certain, but he’s already spending on you?" She went quiet for a while.

Then added, "Does he not want you around?"

Rather, he doesn’t want me to leave. Rhea’s eyes turned to the side.

"No, not that. We’re keeping it a secret for the time being."

"What is he? A politician? Some heir to an elite family?" Tia’s brow raised, batting her eyes at Rhea, her nose twitching.

Your lecturer to be precise.

"Something like that." She gave a tiny shrug.

"And you can’t tell me too?"

I really want to, but I can’t.

"I will but not now. We drew a confidential contract."

"Contract!" She squinted her eyes at Rhea, "Are you fucking a Mafia?"

A laugh ripped out of Rhea. "Where did that come from?" She asked wiping the tears at the corner of her eyes.

"Too much secrecy."

"I’m sorry," Rhea smiled softly, "You’ll be the first to know when everything’s clearer."

Rhea tilted her head to the side, her eyes rolling with no specific thing to focus on.

I know he loves me and I know I like him. But do I want to share that knowledge with someone else? Am I ready?

"You better."

The girl laughed as Tia narrated all that happened with her parents and how the party went.

The following week after school resumed.

The clamouring sounds of students filled the hall, each of them with a grin on their faces, discussing one thing after another about how their holiday went and so on.

Tia was at her side, with an empty seat at her left.

"Haven’t seen Luke. Is he not coming today?" Tia pointed out.

Oh Luke, I totally forgot about it. Before all the commotion throughout the holiday, he wanted to meet up... And that kiss I sincerely hope he doesn’t think much about it anymore.

"What’s up, ladies!" Luke popped out, right behind them. "Did you miss me?"

Rhea froze, then turned with a smile. He grinned back, eyes lingering on her before darting nervously toward Tia. His gaze was red-rimmed.

"What’s up. You went off the radar throughout the holiday." Tia said, leaning on the long desk.

"Hey Luke, long time no see." Rhea offered politely.

Luke remained in a trance for a while, gawking at Rhea, then flipped his head to the opposite side, his hands over his mouth, his neck and ears crimson.

"Luke, are you okay?" Rhea asked, seeing his complexion.

"Y-yeah, I’m fine," he stammered, slipping into the seat beside her.

Rhea took a deep breath, her brow arched, tiny imperceptible air oozing from her parted lips.

The whole class went still as Zeenare stepped inside.

"Settle down." He instructed, his eyes slowly trailed towards Rhea. Their eyes locked for a bit, then he cleared his throat and continued.

"Hope you all spent your vacation well?" Zeenare asked.

"Yes." The class was filled with cheerful chorus answers.

As that class commenced, Zeenare and Rhea occasionally shared glances.

Was he always this hot, when coming to class? She asked herself.

Oh god.

Her eyes trailed to his butt cheek.

If only I could go there and smack that butt. It’s so firm.

And he looks so manly with his hair like that. Oh god, and those glasses make him look so...smart and elderly hot.

I never knew I was into older men!

"Hey!" Luke’s arm brushed against her, "Rhea, you are not paying attention." Luke brought it to her notice.

Rhea jolted, her cheeks hot. Fuck what am I thinking? Since when did I start having this kind of thought?

She looked up at him, "Thanks." She offered a polite smile.

Ugh. This is not good, the semester just started and I’m already thinking like this!

As Rhea was in her own world of thoughts, Luke’s hand moved to her face, brushing a chunk of hair out of her face. "Can you see with all this hair on your face?"

Suddenly, Rhea’s jaw tightened, her breath arched in her chest, she glanced up at Zeenare, and his eyes were on Luke.

Rhea’s back arched, and she slightly crouched, as her fingers dug in the hard desk, her brow knitted. Her lip throbbed as she bit it down, fighting the tremors in her thighs.

"Luke stop talking." She whispered hoarsely, heat searing her veins as she tried hard to swallow her shallow breath.

But Luke chuckled softly, leaning closer.

"Luke fucking stop talking!" She sprang up, panting softly. Her body betrayed her as it trembled.

Every eye in the class turned to her.

"I-I’m sorry," she muttered, swallowing the lump in her throat, crossing her legs tightly under the desk. Her silver ring pressed cool against her skin, but it did nothing to quench the fire rising within.

She turned to Luke, wanting to say something, but she couldn’t find her words.

Her eyes moved back to Zeenare.

And his gaze was intently fixated on her, he adjusted his glasses, a breeze of a smirk placed on his face underneath his palm.

I seriously hope I don’t die from being horny throughout this semester.

"Rhea, what was that about? Why did you snap at Luke like that?" Tia questioned as the class ended.

"Tia I have to go home without you!" Rhea muttered not answering Tia’s questions.

"But you have other classes!"

I don’t think my legs will be able to hold themselves for that class. Not with what just happened.

She sprinted for the door before Tia could say anything else.

She rushed down the corridor, pushing through the doors, only to slam into a wall of muscle.

"I’m sorry, I wasn’t looking," she mumbled, nose pressed into the stranger’s chest.

"You were never looking anytime in your life, before, so it’s understandable." A familiar voice, rang through Rhea’s ears.

As the voice slid down her spine like ice water.

Her eyes snapped up and met two familiar green eyes glinting down at her with superiority.

Zack!
