Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!
Chapter 40: Evelynna: Just One Night!
CHAPTER 40: CHAPTER 40: EVELYNNA: JUST ONE NIGHT!
It was late at night.
Logan was in the villa, doing high-intensity aerobic exercise with Jessica.
After who knows how many hours, Jessica let out another loud cry, wrapping her arms around Logan’s neck and burying her head in his chest.
"Hey, you’re amazing!" Jessica panted, rubbing her face against his chest. "I forgot how many times it was, but you’re still hard! I didn’t even get a chance to use [Reviving Wind] on you."
Logan gently kissed her forehead and smiled, "You did your best."
Even though Jessica’s [Reviving Wind] was a great skill for making men feel good, Logan had been trained by Lilith. How could a normal girl make him come so easily?
Jessica kept saying she wanted to make Logan relax, but in reality, this girl was just bad at it but always wanted more.
She was all over him over ten times in one night, and still looked like she wasn’t satisfied. She even wanted Logan to give up—what a joke! That was never going to happen.
Finally, after another scream, Jessica fell completely asleep.
Logan got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower.
As soon as he turned on the shower, he called out to Lilith.
When it came to important matters, it had to be Lilith who helped him.
Just as Logan was discussing engine piston techniques with Lilith, Evelynna was already arguing with Nancy Priest in the Temple hall.
"I won’t give up! As long as the Genius Training Camp hasn’t started, I still have a chance!" Evelynna said, still swinging her sword despite the bandages on her body, continuing to practice.
Nancy Priest stood nearby, watching her student hurt herself and finally spoke again, worriedly: "It’s no use. Natalia is fully supporting Logan, and you won’t get the recommendation."
When Natalia was mentioned, Evelynna’s face twisted almost in pain. "Even without her, I still want to join the Genius Training Camp! I have to prove to the Grion family that I, Evelynna Grion, am the one who should be the next leader!"
With that, Evelynna threw her sword violently, and the tip of it hit a photo — it was a picture of Logan. "Next time, I will beat you! Logan!"
After saying that, Evelynna looked like all her strength had been taken away. She fell to the ground, weak and exhausted.
Nancy Priest rushed over to help her up. After a moment of hesitation, she finally spoke, her voice full of regret: "There won’t be a next time, Evelynna. You’ve already lost."
Nancy Priest’s words hit Evelynna like a thunderclap.
Evelynna slowly turned her head, her face a little confused. "I lost... myself?"
"Yes, you did. You used to control half of the Blood Cultivation Realm resources because the Temple’s high priest, Bronia, supported you and invested in you. But then you ran into the Black Church’s plot, and Logan came out of nowhere. Priest Bronia was really disappointed in you."
At this, Evelynna’s eyes started to shake, and her voice became rough: "Teacher, does that mean the purple familiar space I opened, and the resources I used to build the skill array... weren’t given by Priest Bronia?"
Nancy Priest, seeing that Evelynna had figured out the truth, closed her eyes in pain, and tears rolled down her cheeks. "Yes... Priest Bronia stopped the investment. All the resources you used after that were from the Tattalia family."
At this, Nancy Priest raised her hand and took a deep breath, trying to hold back her tears.
For a moment, she couldn’t look Evelynna in the eye. She turned away and spoke in the calmest voice she could manage: "The Tattalia family’s condition was this: either you become the first in the Genius Training Camp and do three things for them in the future, or you marry Victor Tattalia, the family’s genius, within a month and give birth to at least five boys for them."
Boom!
A loud explosion rang out, and a huge crystal pillar in the Temple was completely broken.
Evelynna was breathing heavily, not even caring about the blood on her hands. She looked at Nancy Priest in disbelief, shaking her head again and again. "Teacher, you lied to me! How could you agree to such a deal?"
Being questioned by her most beloved student, Nancy Priest’s heart was breaking. "Evelynna, it was my fault. I was too confident."
With that, Nancy Priest handed Evelynna her phone. On the screen was an email from the Corleone family.
The message was simple. The Corleone family always kept their promises. Since Evelynna took the resources from the Tattalia family, she had to follow the deal.
Also, the Corleone family would prepare a big dowry for her, so she could live well after marrying Victor Tattalia.
But she needed to have children as soon as possible. To have five boys, Evelynna probably wouldn’t have time to train for the next ten years.
Eighteen to twenty-eight was the golden time for a familiar tamer.
If she missed it, it would mean the end of her future as a familiar tamer.
After reading the email, Evelynna finally understood.
She was done for!
At that moment, her face showed anger and frustration, and a deep hatred began to grow inside her.
She hated the family for ignoring her. She hated Natalia for being cold. And most of all, she hated Logan for cutting off her path.
In the end, the image of Logan kept appearing in her mind.
She looked at his handsome, quiet face, and suddenly stood up. She walked toward the entrance of the Temple.
"Evelynna, where are you going? Don’t do something stupid!" Nancy Priest, still worried about her, grabbed her wrist and tried to stop her from leaving.
But this time, Evelynna didn’t obey. She pulled her hand away fiercely. "Teacher, I want to spend this last month on my own. Is that okay?"
Evelynna’s words had no emotion at all, but they burned through Nancy Priest like hot water, making her let go of her hand.
So, Evelynna walked alone through the streets of Twilight City under the moonlight.
Without realizing it, she found herself in front of a villa. She looked at the name on the doorplate and saw it said "Logan."
"Logan?" Evelynna ran her fingers over the plate, whispering to herself, "How did I end up here?"
Then, a sudden anger burned inside her again. "You ruined me! I won’t let you win!"
"Logan! Natalia! You’ll pay for this! I’ll make you feel the anger of the Tattalia family!"
On the top floor of the villa, Logan had just finished a life exchange with Lilith.
As he was about to go back to his room, a familiar figure appeared by his window.
"Evelynna?" Logan saw the Temple Holy Girl and looked a little embarrassed. He wasn’t sure how much of his moment he had just shown her. "How long have you been out there?"
Logan opened the window and invited her inside.
Because of the awkwardness, he didn’t ask anything else, and Evelynna stayed silent.
Logan noticed how bad she was feeling and made her a cup of hot tea.
After she drank it and her face softened a little, he finally spoke again. "I’m sorry about what happened today. I just had a personal issue with Diana. It wasn’t meant for you."
Hearing his words, Evelynna looked up, her eyes full of mixed feelings. "But you won. I lost! You have no idea what I’ve lost!"
Logan heard that and just shrugged his shoulders.
He wasn’t the kind of guy who would give up his future for a girl.
But a gentleman would still offer a handkerchief when a girl was crying.
Evelynna took the handkerchief from Logan and gently wiped away her tears. "Logan, I’m not here to ask for your pity. You won, I lost. I accept the result."
Suddenly, Evelynna let out a holy aura. Two pairs of wings spread out from her back, and she shot toward Logan like a flash of light, knocking him to the ground. "But you have to make it up to me tonight. Just one night!"
Then, Evelynna bit her lip and quickly tore open Logan’s shirt.
This was the first time Logan had been close to a girl with feathers. He got hard on the spot...
The next noon, Logan had already forgotten when Evelynna left.
Compared to Jessica and Lilith, Evelynna in bed was like a wild beast.
Looking at the bruises and marks on his body, Logan felt a headache coming on.
But what really worried him was that Evelynna had recorded a video.
He had lived a long time, but he had never seen a girl like this before—someone who liked to record her private moments.
"Whatever, I’ll just keep it as a memory," he said, then went back to the bathroom to call Lilith.
But as soon as he opened the door, he was shocked by what he saw.
In the corner of the bathroom, on a pile of torn clothes, lay a wounded angel—Diana.
She was unconscious.
On her body was a note with a few words written on it: "You did well last night. I didn’t bring any money, so I’ll give you Diana. I didn’t really make a master-servant contract with her. You can do whatever you want."
Reading Evelynna’s note, Logan immediately frowned.
No wonder he felt something was off during the battle yesterday.
It turned out that Diana and Evelynna had signed a temporary loyalty contract, not a real master-servant one. Either of them could break it anytime.
Probably, this was Diana’s way to stay free—she made a deal with Nancy Priest.
Now that Diana was badly hurt and unconscious, it was actually a lucky break for Logan.
But a familiar like her, who was always rebellious and might turn on him anytime, wasn’t something Logan wanted.
Hmm, maybe give her to Jessica instead. Once Jessica learned all of Diana’s skills, she could just kill her.
As he thought that, Logan turned to go find Jessica.
But as he turned around, his ankle was suddenly grabbed by a small hand.
He turned back and saw Diana looking up at him, with a mix of pain and pleasure on her face. "Hit me!"
Hearing her soft, tempting voice, Logan’s whole body got a chill.
Wow, is she really into that stuff? What a weirdo!
