Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!
Chapter 86: I’m Taking Them Home!
CHAPTER 86: CHAPTER 86: I’M TAKING THEM HOME!
Tracy and Jessica both lit up when they heard the phone ringing.
Logan looked through the call history and text messages. Most of them were from three people: General Philip, Instructor Sophia, and City Lord Natalia.
Logan sent each of them a message to say he was safe, then turned to Tracy and said: "Where’s the engineer who fixed the base station? I’ll go get him back."
When Logan mentioned the soldier, Tracy, who had been acting a little restless before, suddenly looked sad. "You don’t need to go." she said quietly. "He’s not coming back."
Logan’s eyes widened. "What do you mean?"
Tracy looked at him and slowly lifted her arm. There were hundreds of tiny needle marks all over it. "Do you think I could have kept going like that, fighting so many monsters alone?"
Jessica followed Tracy’s words and gasped, covering her mouth. "It’s adrenaline and nerve drugs! How many injections did you give yourself?"
Tracy smiled and shook her head, laughing bitterly. "Don’t worry about me. This isn’t the first time I’ve done this. But the engineer... he was already seriously hurt."
She spoke with a shaky voice. "He was almost unconscious from the pain. To fix the base station, he asked me to give him too much adrenaline to stay awake."
At this, Logan took a deep breath again.
Only after hearing Tracy’s full story did he finally understand — the communication network had been fixed by that engineer, who lost one hand and two legs, and he did it with his teeth and the last hand he had left.
The thought of such a soldier lying dead in the wild made Logan unable to hold back his anger.
He suddenly stood up and turned to leave, but just then, his phone rang again.
He answered it, and the screen showed the tired face of General Philip: "Kid, you’re still alive. That’s really good."
Logan saw the old man looked exhausted, so he politely saluted the camera.
He told General Philip everything — how he had managed to take down the eight Blood Cultivation Realms, and what had happened to him and his team.
When he mentioned that he had actually succeeded in taking down the Blood Cultivation Realms, General Philip looked very happy. "Kid, take your friends and head back to Saint Heart City along C141 Highway. I’ll send soldiers to meet you. This kind of fight isn’t something a high school student like you should be involved in."
Logan could hear the concern in the general’s voice, but he refused the old man’s help. "Sir, all the communication stations outside Saint Heart City are cut off, right? Can you send me the map of the military camps and base station locations outside the city?"
When he heard Logan refused to go back, General Philip’s kind face turned cold in an instant. His eyebrows furrowed, and he spoke seriously: "What are you thinking? What do you need that for? Your job now is to not cause trouble for the army. Go back right away — there’s still class at Genius Training Camp!"
Faced with the general’s strict words, Logan’s eyes became even more determined.
Instead of backing down, he just grabbed his phone and walked out of the tent.
He turned on the camera and filmed the sad scenes in the camp, live-streaming them to General Philip.
For a moment, the two men, thousands of miles apart, fell silent.
It wasn’t until Logan walked through every part of the camp with his phone that the general finally spoke again: "Kid, I’m sorry you had to go through this at such a young age. I want to tell you something — these kinds of things happen all the time outside Saint Heart City, in the northern border of the Human Federation, in the eastern sea, in the southern rainforests, and in the western deserts. It never stops."
At this, General Philip sighed. "Back then, I was just like you — angry at the suffering of our people. But complaining about it won’t change anything. The only thing that matters is to survive. You have to get stronger. Only by holding power can you survive in this terrible world. Kid, I see power in you. Your future is limitless. So don’t take any risks in Saint Heart City. You need to protect yourself first, so that one day you can protect more people."
At that moment, Jessica quietly walked up behind Logan and handed him her phone.
Logan took a quick look at the messages on her phone and once again refused the general’s request. "No, sir. I’m not being noble or trying to be a hero. I just want to bring them back home — alive or dead."
Seeing that Logan wouldn’t listen, General Philip got angry. "You’re dreaming! I won’t give you any information. Come back right now, or I’ll have people go get you!"
Logan, seeing the general threatening him with information, just smiled and held up Jessica’s phone toward the camera.
At that moment, the phone showed a satellite map of the area outside Saint Heart City, along with all the military symbols.
Philip turned red with anger. He shouted and waved his beard, then turned to a staff officer and yelled: "You son of a bitch! How could you leak the satellite map? What happened?!"
The officer, seeing Philip’s big fist about to hit him, shook all over. "No! Don’t be angry! It was Edo Castle City Lord and Storm Wind City Duke who asked for City Guard help. I shared the map for that reason."
When Philip learned that the map had actually been leaked by Edo Castle and Storm Wind City, he was furious. "This is a mess! Logan..."
Logan cut off the call halfway through.
He turned to Jessica and looked at her carefully. "It was Sawako and Yelena, right?"
Jessica nodded silently and whispered, "When you were talking to General Philip, they were also connected to me. We all heard everything."
At that, Jessica lifted her red face and said with a strong voice, "We support you, Logan!"
Logan heard that and gently patted Jessica’s forehead. Then he walked into the tent.
At that moment, Tracy had already stood up with the help of the wall. She understood what Logan was planning and said, "Count me in. You won’t think I’m holding you back, right?"
Logan smiled and said: "As long as you don’t reach into my pants, anything else is fine."
Tracy gave Logan a cold look when he joked about her.
Just a moment ago, she had already explained her habit to him.
Because she often used adrenaline and nerve drugs, part of her nerves had lost sensitivity. She no longer felt anything from the outside world — including her lower body and chest.
That meant no matter how handsome a guy was, she felt nothing.
Only when she used her familiar summoning to enlarge her body could she feel the pleasure of being a woman again.
But there was a new problem — when she got bigger, men seemed smaller in comparison.
Even in a place like Saint Heart City, few people could use familiar summoning to become a giant several stories tall.
This made Tracy develop a strange interest in big men, and it had become a real obsession.
Logan knew all of this, and he kept his distance from Tracy.
He didn’t want to turn into a giant and have a loud, embarrassing moment with her. That would be too embarrassing.
So, the group packed their things and went to the communication base together.
As soon as they arrived, they were shocked by what they saw.
The base’s door was completely closed, and even the keyhole had been welded shut.
The engineer soldier who had fixed the base was now leaning against the door, covered in grenades. Around his body, there were several layers of landmines.
It was clear that even in his final moments, he was still protecting the communication base.
Thinking about this, Logan felt deep respect for the engineer soldier. He silently gave him a military salute.
Because there were too many bombs set by the engineer, Logan couldn’t remove them without risking his life. So he had no choice but to leave the soldier’s body there.
But he still took out a cigarette and threw it far into the soldier’s arms. "Wait a little longer. I’ll find an engineer to defuse these bombs. We’ll come back!"
With that, Logan, Tracy, and Jessica left the communication base and headed toward the next camp.
Meanwhile, back at the Saint Heart City military hall, General Philip had already smashed over a dozen tables.
"Damn it! You two are trying to kill me!" Philip shouted, pointing his finger at the faces of Edo Castle City Lord Uesugi Tora and the Duke of Storms. His spit was flying everywhere, almost making tiny holes in their clothes.
City Lord Garen watched Philip lose his temper, his mouth twitching and his face burning with embarrassment.
Even though the two lords gave him worried looks, he could only pretend not to see them.
After all, they were just being yelled at. He had actually been beaten not long ago.
Only when Philip finally ran out of steam did City Lord Garen step in and say: "Logan is strong enough to protect himself outside the city. General, don’t worry too much. Besides, the elite guards from Storm Wind City, Edo Castle, and Twilight City have already gone to help."
When Garen mentioned Twilight City, General Philip’s mouth suddenly twitched.
At that moment, a scary image of Natalia when she was angry popped into his mind: "Natalia... she knows about it too?"
Seeing Philip act so carefully, City Lord Garen reached up and rubbed his face. "Yeah, she knew. She just left my office — she beat me up pretty badly."
