Another World Mall
Chapter 873: Time
CHAPTER 873: TIME
"This is..." Melody gasped. "It’s really a beast soul."
"Do we know what kind of beast soul this is?" Clovis asked while looking at the beast soul within the tube.
"I don’t know. For lower-level beasts, there is a lot of information about them because there’s a list of beast souls that people have gotten from them.
"By using that as a reference while figuring out which powerful ability the beast has, we can sort of determine the beast soul until now.
"However, there’s not much information about Tier 8 beast souls. Most of the Tier 8 humans in the world usually stop progressing after reaching this tier.
"It is simply that if they fight against a Tier 8 beast, they will need a big raid. In the battle, they might be hurt.
"Just like the Tier 9 humans, their competitors won’t let them recover. Hence, Tier 8 essence is usually sold at an auction instead of in normal stores.
"Organizations that the Tier 8 humans belong to will do their best to acquire this essence for them to be able to progress safely."
"I see." Clovis nodded in understanding. If not for their team, the Hatson family might not have come to this place at all. "In that case, shouldn’t they just come with several Tier 8 humans at once?"
"That’s kind of the idea, but you have to make sure this expedition is kept secret. Once it is known, the enemy might probe them to see if they were injured or not. Or if this information were known, they might even send people to sabotage the entire thing."
"Fair point." Clovis nodded. "So, the price for this beast soul..."
"If we are thinking about the beast soul alone, it’s probably tens of billions at the very least. Do you plan to give it to them? They have done a favor."
Clovis looked up, pondering. On the one hand, he didn’t know what price his great-grandmother had paid for him. But Kalarn had specifically said he would buy it.
If that was the case, it was probably better to sell it.
"We will sell it. Instead, we will give them the beast essence. We don’t need it right now, so it might be good to stock them, but..."
"Another World Mall." Melody understood what Clovis was thinking. Another World Mall might also provide Tier 8 ingredients, meaning they could advance much easier compared to other Tier 8 humans.
Even if they were stuck at some time, once Clovis reached that level, he could bring out the ingredients.
"Yes." Clovis raised two fingers. "First of all, this is a superpower nation, and the Hatson family is one of the strongest forces. Giving them a favor might not be so bad. They might become a pair of eyes for us to observe the movement of this country."
"How about the nuclear zone? We have to give your great-grandmother the beast soul, but we can sell the beast essence, right? The mutated beast essence is usually sold at three to four times the price of essence one tier above it.
"In other words, we can probably get about 10 billion with this essence alone, while the Tier 7 beast essence can give us 30 to 40 billion."
Clovis shook his head. "We’ll keep the beast essence for the time being. Or maybe we can give it to Vina. It’s not like we can show any trace that we have gone to the nuclear zone. And giving this to Vina can be said to pay her for her service this time."
"I see. Let’s proceed in that way then. Last but not least, how about the other Tier 8 beasts here? We are going to kill it as well, right?"
"Yes. If there is a beast soul, we will prioritize the Hatson family. As for the essence, we will keep it or give it to Hana."
"Got it." Melody nodded. Once they got the beast soul and beast essence, both of them immediately walked to Tianna and Tienna. They were actually talking to the most untalkative person in the group, Jay.
They seemed to be asking Jay about his power and his training because this was the first time they’d seen a Tier 6 normal human like him.
"How do you swing like that? It’s like a normal swing, but..." Tianna swung her sword, but it didn’t produce the same feeling as Jay’s swing.
"You are lacking strength. But you can still swing stronger if you continue swinging your sword. Your form is close to perfection, so you have to exert more power from the entire body, including your bottom half." Jay answered nonchalantly.
"How about this?" Tienna swung her sword, producing a similar sensation as her sister’s swing.
"Basically the same thing." Jay nodded.
Clovis and Melody couldn’t help but stop.
"Clovis... Do you see what I’m seeing?" Melody blinked a few times.
"I certainly do. You are not imagining things."
Both of them had a similar mischievous thought. They couldn’t help but wonder if Jay’s spring had finally arrived.
Jay didn’t talk a lot. He talked only about serious things, but he was still an intelligent person. He knew how to solve problems if he had to do it.
But because most trouble was solved by Clovis and the others, Jay didn’t do anything. This time, it was different.
For some reason, the twins seemed to be able to continue the conversation when even Clovis had a hard time doing it.
"Do you think what I’m thinking then?" Melody smirked.
"If you are thinking about leaving them alone, then yes." Clovis nodded in agreement.
"Well, is it going to be the older one or the younger one? Or is it going to be both?" Melody asked while turning around playfully.
"I don’t care which one. As long as that guy doesn’t marry his sword, I’m already satisfied." Clovis chuckled. "Let’s tell the rest to have a small rest before proceeding. We killed it earlier than we originally expected anyway, so we should have time."
"We can afford to wait for another 25 minutes."
"25 minutes then."
