CHAPTER 878: IMPROVISE

"The situation doesn’t look so good." Aileen had just returned to the team. Because of the Tier 7 mutated deer, they couldn’t observe them from up close.

Only Aileen could come close. The only way to spot them was through binoculars, so Kanaria was the only one who could observe it. Melody monitored the signal from the device Aileen brought while scouting the area.

But Aileen was probably the only one who could see the true danger of their mission.

When Aileen told them the situation didn’t look good, it meant they really had a problem.

Aileen picked up a stick and started drawing on the ground. She placed the deer in the center.

Surrounding the deer were complicated blocks of apartment buildings. According to the information, the deer itself was 6 meters tall. It was the biggest deer they had ever seen. More importantly, its antlers were known to be unbreakable.

If it wanted to, it might be able to bulldoze everything in its way.

Aileen added two more marks around the deer.

"I have spotted two Tier 6 mutated beasts in this location. I might miss some spots because I couldn’t get too close to the deer so as to not alert it.

"Although we have taken some time to thin out the number of beasts in this area, there are still about 200 mutated beasts in the area. 10 of them were even Tier 5.

"If we want to kill it, it won’t be easy. We can probably use the same strategy to separate the deer from the rest of the beasts, but I don’t think it will work this time.

The number was a bit too high. Their groups normally would be fine to fight against hundreds if not thousands of beasts because they had superior combat ability.

However, that superiority was practically nonexistent in this place. So, she couldn’t find a way to bring it down.

"The situation doesn’t look that good. If we are working together with the military, we can request air support and bombard them to reduce their number." Tianna squinted her eyes.

Clovis crossed his arms. "It’s not impossible. I know how powerful a Tier 7 mutated beast is. In fact, we can’t proceed with our original plan, which is to have me, Jay, Erwin, and Christina handle it like we fought the Red Kong.

"Rin and Kanaria will shoot this beast when you have the opportunity. But due to this beast’s size and strength, the building you are on might be destroyed by it, but thanks to your wings, it should work just fine."

Christina asked, "If that’s the case, doesn’t it mean there are only eight people left to handle the rest of the beasts? There are even Tier 6 mutated beasts. Even if we ask Tienna and Tianna to buy us some time, it will be hard."

Clovis nodded in agreement. "That’s why we will have to take advantage of our air superiority as well." His gaze shifted to Rea.

They all looked at Rea, realizing what he wanted to do.

"How many bombs do we have, Kanaria?" Clovis asked.

"We have 6 C4 and dozens of grenades."

Clovis nodded. "That should be enough. Even if we have to exhaust everything we have, we will kill this beast. As for the Tier 8 beast in that forest... I guess we will see whether we will kill it depending on how difficult killing this beast is."

"Clovis. I actually have an insane idea." Melody raised her hand.

"Hmmm?"

"What do you think about sending these beasts to the base of the mutated humans? Muddy the water so that they can wear down the enemy’s strength. We will take advantage of the momentum to kill them."

"I understand." Melody nodded.

Clovis pointed to the twins. "Tianna, Tienna. You two will buy us time from the two Tier 6 mutated beasts.

"We will split our group into two, one will be coming from the north, while the other will be coming from the south.

"These two groups will divide them to give a slight gap for us to exploit. This is the most important thing, the second team shall be Aileen, Rin, Kanaria, Melody, Rea, and me. The rest will be on the first team, including Reolf."

"!!!" Melody understood what he was planning to do. "So, that’s how it is. Aileen can simply slip past their defense by erasing her presence. Kanaria, Rin, and Rea can fly. I am usually not a combatant, even though I can fight.

"To be precise, the second team is just to divide the enemy into two. With the overwhelming power and numbers of the first team, the Tier 7 deer will be coming to the first team.

"Meanwhile, the second team will take down the beasts as quickly as possible before moving to the first team to support.

"However, it won’t be a threat if we are lacking in firepower. In other words, Clovis and Rea’s bombardment will be the key to capturing their attention.

"Clovis. Are you insane?" Melody gasped, realizing how crazy the idea was.

"I have to improvise." Clovis shrugged.
