CHAPTER 311: CHAPTER 311: MASSACRE OF ALIENS

Tilian Planet.

According to the alien captives, there are five bases on the Tilian Planet, one of which is located in a swamp.

This siege on the Rusted Fortress was orchestrated by these invaders.

The invaders used one of their baits to draw a large number of infected to the area around the fortress, causing them to swarm towards the city.

These aliens call themselves Horu people.

They are a middle-tier species within the Haili Race, belonging to the same family as humans.

Their level of civilization is similar to that of the Hilania people, and they are extremely numerous.

They have three small Arks, which they call "Sprouts," and they have distanced themselves from their mother Ark in order to create and cultivate new Sprouts to continue their race.

After obtaining all the information from the enemy mecha pilots, they were handed over to the Professor.

The Professor is very interested in the implant chips in their heads and has been given permission to disregard their safety.

After meeting with Solomon, Lin Yi proceeded to the Horu people’s temporary camp.

This camp is located in a crater in the center of the wasteland.

Guarded by five soldiers and staffed by ten engineers, the camp includes a small workshop and some tents.

Lin Yi, along with warriors possessing Chameleon Skills, cautiously and stealthily approached the guards.

At his command, the camp guards were killed in close-range shootings and either burned alive or decapitated without having time to react.

The engineers, also wearing Doomsday Warrior armor, patrolling the area were captured.

They scavenged 47 tents and found four trucks capable of driving through deserts and wastelands, as well as a small warehouse loaded with parts and supplies.

The invaders had no communication equipment as using digital communication on Tilian Planet would instantly draw all nearby infected.

Another interesting discovery there was a Titan map.

Within a 500-kilometer radius, there are three other Titans, and the map even offers brief descriptions of each Titan.

Based on what he read, Lin Yi decided to stay away from those monsters.

"Heart of the World... I killed that Titan, so where is the reward for completing the task?"

"You haven’t completed the task."

"But I killed that Titan!"

"The task is to rescue the fortress."

"Yes, sir! The Titan was supposed to attack five hours ago..."

"The Titan may not arrive here." The man stood up from the table.

"Gather the soldiers, we move out in fifteen minutes. Even if we have to sacrifice ourselves, we will complete the mission."

"Yes, sir!"

The man left, leaving the general in the room, standing in front of a small, round device.

This device was used by spies infiltrating the fortress to transport soldiers and equipment into the fortress.

But now it must be destroyed.

His people only had three such devices, soon they would only have two... but these means were worth it to achieve the purpose.

Recently, for reasons unknown, they had lost contact with their own Ark, so they couldn’t return home or call for reinforcements.

The general fired his AP-1 Type Gun at the device, then tossed its fragments into a barrel filled with highly corrosive acid.

All other evidence was thrown into the same barrel, including maps, plans, photos, etc.

All the soldiers knew the five routes to their targets, and could reach them with their eyes closed.

But just as the operation began, things started to go wrong...

One by one, teams encountered fortress units or patrols, and almost every team came under fire.

"What should we do, General?! Teams One through Eight are fighting the fortress’s troops, and Teams Nine and Eleven are being chased."

"I know! Listen, if your cover is blown or you come under fire, you have a new mission: cause as much destruction as possible! Our nation will never forget your sacrifice!"

The internal communication network of the "Doomsday Warriors" covered half a kilometer, so these orders and reports had to be relayed through intermediaries.

All the invaders wordlessly charged into battle.

They detonated bombs, destroyed buildings, and caused as much chaos as possible.

And then it all began!

Refugee camps and several insignificant facilities experienced a series of explosions.

But these were mere distractions; the aliens’ real aim was to attack the strategic targets vital to the fortress’s survival.

Thanks to Lin Yi’s warning, the fortress forces managed to intercept most of the enemy teams.

And those teams not intercepted came under fire from the guards of the target facilities.

Once the battle fully erupted, Lin Yi rushed in and helped the fortress eliminate the remaining aliens.

The bunker cameras could detect biological entities, so his squad collaborated with the fortress military to efficiently clear the city.

However, before the bunker soldiers could arrive, the Rusted Fortress’s troops suffered significant losses.

Their mechas were useless in the narrow urban streets, and their infantry lacked experience against aliens wielding AP-1 Type Guns.

Nevertheless, one thing spared them from a complete disaster: their energy weapons.

They didn’t have many energy weapons, but they were enough to significantly reduce military casualties.

The Horu had anticipated the fortress having energy weapons, but only counted on a few, rather than two to four per squad.

Because of this, their planned massacre didn’t occur...

In fact, a massacre did happen, but it was the Horu themselves who were slaughtered.

Lin Yi’s team swooped down on the Horu like vultures on fresh corpses.

Except what they plundered wasn’t delightful carcasses but exquisite alien equipment.

The fortress’s army lost many soldiers, but half-mechanical people were not easily killed.

Even if their bodies were completely destroyed, their synthetic brains would remain in a dormant state for several days.

All the army needed to do was prepare a new body and connect the brain.
