Two vehicles advanced along the Gobi Desert by the railway towards Akse, the wheels crushing gravel and sand, and the engine vibrations made the sand and dry grass on the ground shake as they traveled.

A few people took out electronic binoculars and looked in the direction of Akse City. The town appeared deserted, but quite a few caravans were stationed in the city at the time.
