Liang Mei’s eyes fluttered, the colour seeping from her iris like ink from a fallen pen, replaced with a neon green glow brimming with life. Her tongue dangled across cracked, bloody lips.

"I... I’m... sorry..."

Her voice was raspy, and her breathing heavy.

"Mei... it’s okay. I’m here."

I placed my forehead against hers and held her tight.

"You’re not alone, I’m here."

The heat of her skin was like a fiery hob, hissing as our bodies touched.

With each silent moment of her suffering passing, her body evolved, transforming into something that would allow her to live like a normal person.

The resounding thud of her heart grew stronger, pounding with great force.

Her voice carried more force, the tone and power changing, a deeper rasp than before. "John..." She murmured my name again and again, her lips pressed against my neck, as she muttered "forgive me," and bit into my flesh... her sharp fangs sank into my flesh much like when Mu Qinglan became a living dead.

A moment of worry spread through me, like a squall of mist bursting in my chest.

Thought that refused to remain grounded popped up; the deeper her bite, the more intense the worry.

I turned to face her and found her huge, green eyes waiting for me.

It took her several moments before the pain passed, but soon she pulled away, her small fangs covered in my blood, her lips swollen and dripping with my blood. Liang Mei’s expression carried a hint of seduction and lust.

"I’m sorry... my body... it feels... strange." She licked her lips, taking away a thick streak of blood. "It’s tastes sweet... and feels good."

I looked down at her body, and the last sakura petal formed on her buttocks.

The weak sheep no longer existed.

She spoke with a different tone, stronger, more confident, as she grinned at me with a green squall flickering around her fingertips.

"It’s about time you left though~ can I not take a bath alone?" Her eyes narrowed, half-lidded as she traced my cheek with wind qi, the way her tongue danced across the surface of her lips with each word, almost hypnotic. "Unless... you want to join me?"

Liang Mei’s long leg extended as her toes gripped the hot tap and twisted it, before taking the second bath bomb I prepared, and using her other leg to push me away from the bath, granting me a glimpse of her fluffy garden... the new hairs now curly, soft and pink like her hair.

"Go, on. Let me bathe alone~ let’s talk after I’m finished."

"Of course..."

Once the System panel showed she wasn’t undead or a living dead, I nodded.

The display revealed her current state.

I backed out of the bathroom, leaving a new pair of clothes for her to wear near the sink. Because of the changes in her height... wide hips and thick muscular thighs, the old clothes would never fit.
