Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts
Chapter 64 - 21: S-Class Skill: Dislimning_1
CHAPTER 64: CHAPTER 21: S-CLASS SKILL: DISLIMNING_1
"Eat him."
The Cyclops beside him was hungry too. Although this human was not very strong, he could still partially satiate its hunger.
"WOOF WOOF WOOF." The Cyclops advanced with quick, short steps, opening its big mouth to start tearing and biting. Well, for a beast, raw meat is always the tastiest.
Ignoring the Cyclops busily munching, Wen Yu carefully observed the faintly glowing scroll in his hand.
Wen Yu grew hopeful. If the benefits weren’t high enough, that man would absolutely not have gambled his life away.
As he listened to the prompt in his mind, the complex emotions in Wen Yu’s heart intensified.
"Dislimning (S-class skill) is a spatial ability. It allows temporary dislimning of part or all of the body to penetrate any object. This active skill must be deliberately activated and consumes physical strength according to the strength of the penetrated object."
Active abilities consume physical strength and cannot be released without limits.
Wen Yu finally understood why Li Quan’an’s men had taken such a risk.
Once that man had opened the scroll, it would have directly replaced his initial skill after the job-change. With this ability, any attack from Wen Yu’s group would have been completely ineffective. He would have had a high chance of escaping the treasure land and then... tunneling through walls and earth.
Afterward, where would they find him? And what use would it be if they did?
However, this ability is of no use to me for now.
The small Soul Beast’s two abilities are too useful; neither can be removed.
The Cyclops’s fighting style is completely incompatible with this ability. It’s better to keep Enhanced Healing.
Moreover, I don’t have enough points to exchange for a skill forgetting scroll right now. If I use this scroll, this new skill will randomly replace one of the existing skills. If it replaced Mortal Combat, the Cyclops would be useless!
With no other choice, he put the scroll back into his space ring. This ability would be very useful for escaping Hualin Town. Regrettably, for long-term considerations, it absolutely cannot be used now.
Wen Yu turned his head to look at Li Quan’an, who was dripping with cold sweat.
"Do you have any paper?" Wen Yu asked indifferently.
"Ah, huh? No," Li Quan’an answered tremulously.
"Then, it’s a real shame about your clothes." Wen Yu sauntered over to Li Quan’an and directly wiped the blood from his hand onto Li Quan’an’s clothes.
And Li Quan’an dared not move an inch.
Wen Yu said mockingly, "Your subordinate really isn’t much. Are you sure he was your trusted aide?"
"Well, haha, this guy was just someone I picked up randomly from outside. Wasn’t it because we were afraid Brother Wen Yu was getting impatient?"
Li Quan’an was still somewhat apprehensive, fearing Wen Yu might fly into a rage and kill him as well.
"Hmm, let’s go."
Wen Yu led the way out. Li Quan’an glanced at the Cyclops following Wen Yu, then at the battered corpse on the ground. A complicated look flashed across his face.
The relationship between this man and Li Quan’an, and what Li Quan’an had said to him outside just now—besides Li Quan’an himself, no one knew, and no one else needed to know.
"By the way, did that man from before have any family?" Wen Yu asked indifferently.
After a slight hesitation, Li Quan’an promptly responded, "He had a younger brother, but he’s a fool; he didn’t undergo a job-change."
"Hmm, then you go kill him."
"Understood."
When Wen Yu and Li Quan’an emerged from the treasure land, a silver light shone at the entrance, then disappeared.
With its treasures gone, the treasure land no longer had any reason to exist.
"I’m going to rest first. Do what I told you. Consider this a favor I owe you. Depending on the situation, I will help you once tomorrow."
With someone like Li Quan’an, simply threatening him wouldn’t be enough to ensure his full compliance. That wasn’t realistic at all.
Upon hearing Wen Yu’s words, Li Quan’an immediately beamed. Although he couldn’t say he admired Wen Yu’s personality or temper, Li Quan’an would never disregard his promise.
"Rest assured, Brother Wen Yu, I’ll personally see to it that it’s done properly," Li Quan’an guaranteed, patting his chest.
Wen Yu smiled at Li Quan’an, "I trust Mayor Li to handle things. I’m going to rest now. Have someone send dinner over. Everything depends on tomorrow."
Watching Wen Yu walk farther and farther away, Li Quan’an heaved a heavy sigh of relief.
This man was ruthless and merciless, eradicating threats root and branch. He was like a nuclear bomb—one might possess him but be unwilling to let go, fear him yet not dare to stay away.
Wen Yu’s room was neat and tidy. It seemed Li Quan’an had someone clean it daily.
Nodding in satisfaction, Wen Yu walked in first.
The Cyclops behind him strained to squeeze through the doorway, then flopped directly onto the large desk.
As the Cyclops grew stronger, its size increased, and its appetite became insatiable. Wen Yu found himself wondering just how much food a Level 10 mutant beast would require.
Ignoring these complicated questions, Wen Yu once again took out the dislimning skill scroll and observed it carefully.
This skill was very high-level. In fact, most spatial abilities were A-Class or higher.
Wen Yu had already decided what to do with this skill.
I’ll use it on the small Soul Beast. This kind of ability, versatile for offense and defense, and full of surprises, is perfect for me.
Nodding in satisfaction, Wen Yu immediately lay down on the soft sofa to rest.
It wasn’t just the mutant beasts. As Wen Yu’s own strength increased, so did his food requirements. He suspected that before long, food expenses would take a large bite out of his points.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.
The sound of knocking on the door awakened Wen Yu from his light doze.
"Come in."
CREAK.
With the sound of the door opening, a sweet-faced, beautiful girl walked in.
She was tall, with a full chest and a sweet face. Dressed in a light white dress, she exuded a faint, fresh scent. She was laboriously carrying a huge tray.
"I’m sorry to have disturbed your rest," a crisp voice sounded.
Wen Yu had seen this woman before in Li Quan’an’s room.
"Hmm, just put it on the table."
Wen Yu nodded indifferently, gave her a quick glance, and then paid her no more attention. With a major battle imminent, Wen Yu had no extra energy to spare for women.
After the woman put down the tray, she didn’t leave Wen Yu’s room right away but instead looked at Wen Yu carefully.
He was a tall and thin man, about twenty-five years old, with ordinary looks, but he radiated an indescribable aura of mystery.
"Um, my name is Bai Feifei. I am Bai Xiao’an’s older sister."
