Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive
Chapter 341: Zhu Feng’s Harvest
CHAPTER 341: CHAPTER 341: ZHU FENG’S HARVEST
Harvest
Fu Nie and the others had also finished loading everything up and left quite a number of supplies well.
As they left the supermarket, they still closed the door before driving away. Zhu Feng was still following behind them, but this time he didn’t keep a long distance.
As they passed by the collapsed buildings near the gas station, they noticed that the number of people had increased.
It looked like the supplies left behind would be divided among many. But that was good, at least not one or two people would benefit. Many people will have some food.
But this wasn’t the concern of Fu Nie or the others. Even Zhu Feng was grateful he had taken action earlier. Thinking of all the good he had obtained, he was happy for his fortune.
He just hoped that no one would ambush him and rob him. But he had a way to prevent that.
That was why as soon as he got to the entrance of their building within the community, he called two neighbors he had known for a long time.
Even though they looked rough, they were honest people and the apocalypse had not corrupted them yet.
"Old Zhu, how can we help you?" One of the men usually addressed as Old Jiang asked.
He was looking at the piles of bags his neighbor had tied to the motorcycle.
Zhu Feng didn’t want too much trouble, so he had made sure when packing that nothing was visible.
People just saw the sacks and bags but didn’t know what was inside.
"Old Jiang, help me carry these things to my house. I don’t think leaving them here to carry them slowly is going to be a solution.
I am afraid after one trip I won’t find anything when I come back down." Zhu Feng said without hiding anything while looking at the people standing around and eyeing his supplies.
Old Jiang and the other guy who had been called also looked around and realized that Zhu Feng was right.
Thus, they agreed to help.
Both men had teenage children and they called them over to help so that everything could be taken upstairs in one go.
Hence, the people eying Zhu Feng’s supplies could only watch helplessly and in anger as everything was taken away.
The few people were so tired by the time they got to the thirteenth floor, they nearly collapsed.
"Honey, give our neighbors some water to drink. They are tired from helping me." Zhu Feng told his wife as he began carrying the supplies to the kitchen.
He then took them out of the sacks and took small paper bags to put something in them and give them to his neighbors as a thank you for their help.
In each bag he put a two kilogram bag of rice. He knew that before the apocalypse, two kilos of rice would have been nothing as a thank you, but at the moment, it was like gold.
He then walked out of the kitchen and found that the few people were about to leave so he stopped them and gave the bags to the older men.
"Thank you so much for your help. Here is a little something as a thank you.
Also, do you feel like you have enough strength to go out and search for some supplies?" Zhu Feng asked after he had thanked them.
He knew that giving them the rice was more than enough thank you but he didn’t see anything wrong with helping them get some more food.
He will be helping his neighbor and gaining a friend. In the apocalypse, he had realized that things could be dangerous. Especially now that he was sure he had crossed that gang. He had been a manager of a big clothing store before the apocalypse, so his brain functioned pretty well.
He wasn’t naive enough to believe that he had not been spotted coming back with all those supplies and especially following behind the soldiers from Building H where the gang had planned to rob.
He was sure that they would assume he tipped off the enemy and they might even attack him.
Thus, he wanted some people in his corner who would stand by him if those people came knocking. Even if it was only a few people, they could be a deterring force if used well. Especially since two people from those two families had superpowers.
With his spiritual power, they could take down a few goons.
"Old Zhu, what are you saying? If we can find something to bring to our families, why would we not have the strength to go?" Before the man known as Old Jiang could say anything, the other one, Old Su already replied.
Even though they weren’t jealous of Zhu Feng, they still wished they had been where he found so many supplies so that they could carry more as well.
"Do you have any vehicle you can use to carry the supplies with?" Zhu Feng asked because he had realized that going supply hunting without the means to transport them could be heartbreaking because you will have to leave them even if you don’t want to.
"I don’t have any. My car was swept away by the floods." Old Su said with a sad expression.
Even though cars would probably be useless soon as gasoline can’t be found, it still pained him since he had spent a lot of money on that car.
"I don’t have a car either. I had a three-wheel vehicle that had been used to deliver something to my house the night of the apocalypse and I was supposed to return it the next day but I never did.
Luckily, it was tied to a pillar so the flood didn’t carry it away. However, that isn’t any good either because it won’t start even with fuel.
The engine is completely ruined. So, I guess it’s useless as well." Old Jiang also said with a sad expression.
