Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive
Chapter 412: The enlightened Mrs. Feng
CHAPTER 412: CHAPTER 412: THE ENLIGHTENED MRS. FENG
Not long after Feng Tu left, she came back and informed Chu Miao that the other three teammates will go with her together with their families.
"But Miaomiao, the car you came in is small and can’t fit all of us. Our family alone has three people, adding the members of the other families, there should be at least over ten of us.
How are we going to get to the Garden community without another car?" Feng Tu didn’t know what to do about this but she believed that her friend must have had an idea before asking them to go back together.
"I have a bus that can fit everyone and their belongings. Don’t worry about that." Chu Miao informed her. Since she broke through to the golden core realm, she didn’t think that anyone could threaten her and her belongings.
Thus, there was no reason to hide the fact that she had a portable space. In that case, there was no problem in her producing a bus to help fetch the people she wanted to transport back home.
"That’s fantastic. Then I’ll go pack my stuff and we can leave as soon as everyone is ready." Feng Tu jumped and went to her bedroom to pack.
Mother Feng was busy packing the supplies in the kitchen and the storage room while her husband was packing their personal belongings in their bedroom.
Their family was one of the rare ones where the husband didn’t abandon his family after getting supplies became difficult.
Many men started to see their wives and children as burdens and would either chase them out of the house or leave them behind to starve to death.
It was rare for human selfishness not to blind someone and they stay true to their initial intention.
It only took them thirty minutes to pack everything. Right as they were carrying their stuff to the living room, a knock came at the door.
Mrs. Feng went to answer it and there stood two of those relatives they were talking about. She was so embarrassed that she wanted to close the door but she was too polite a person to do that.
It looked like even after everything that had happened, she hadn’t changed much. In fact, the only reason she hadn’t let those relatives come into the house to take everything these few days was because her daughter had threatened not to go zombie hunting again and not to collect anymore supplies.
She also understood that every time her daughter went out, it was a risk of life and death. She was not sure whether she would have an accident and die outside.
That anxiety she experienced every time her daughter went out was the reason she had also learned how to harden her heart and prevent these people from robbing them of everything in the name of family.
As soon as Mrs. Feng opened the door and even before she could say anything, a high-pitched voice came from outside the door.
Why aren’t you letting us in? Is it that you look down on us because we don’t have a lot of food?
Go and bring us two kilograms of rice and flour. We want to go and cook porridge. Also, give us some dried sausages to add to our diet. You are our relatives yet you want to enjoy good meals while we starve. What will you tell our ancestors when you go down there?" This person was practically cursing someone to die while they were still standing before them.
Unfortunately for them, Feng Tu happened to be coming out of her bedroom after packing and heard that statement.
She didn’t even bother with her luggage and dropped it unceremoniously before running to the door.
She pulled it wide open and started scolding the woman who had uttered those words.
"What did you say? Are you cursing my mother to die? Why don’t you go see those ancestors right now. If you are in such a hurry to see them I can even help you with that." Chu Miao had never seen her friend so aggressive before. It looked like the apocalypse had really changed a lot of people.
Even a timid and polite person like Feng Tu had changed so much. But it was a good change. This way, people won’t take advantage of her due to her introverted behavior.
"You are a girl and a junior, how can you be so impolite? Didn’t your parents teach you how to behave?" One of the women outside the door shouted at Feng Tu after hearing what she said.
Chu Miao was surprised that in this world today someone still tried to use moral blackmail to get their way. Moreover, these people were asking for help but they were so entitled it was disgusting.
This time it was the quiet Mrs. Feng who couldn’t take it anymore when her daughter’s character was questioned.
"Sister-in-law, what do you mean by that? Are you saying that we didn’t raise our daughter well? In that case, you should know that everything that your family has taken from our house was brought by my daughter.
Since you think my daughter is unworthy, then you shouldn’t expect anything from our family from now onwards." Feng Tu turned to look at her mother with her mouth opened into an ’O’ shape, even an egg could fit inside.
This was the first time she had heard her mother sound so imposing. She was always a soft-hearted and a soft-spoken woman who would do everything to avoid conflict.
In fact, those damn relatives knew this and that’s why they would cause so much trouble because they knew that her mother wouldn’t want to argue.
Feng Tu as well as the ones outside the door didn’t expect that today things would change.
"Ho...how can you say that? If you don’t give us supplies, how is our family going to survive?" The woman outside asked in her high-pitched voice.
