Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive
Chapter 417: The Sect was on Track
CHAPTER 417: CHAPTER 417: THE SECT WAS ON TRACK
Didn’t they leave their perfectly good houses to come live in these ruins that couldn’t even shield them from the wind?
They were not willing to live in a place like this. But they were also scared of Chu Miao’s strength and didn’t dare to voice their discontent.
Especially after witnessing her wiping out almost a hundred zombies with a simple wave of her hand.
The people started to huddle together and hold each other in fear when Feng Tu’s parents noticed that their daughter didn’t look worried and was instead talking and laughing with Chu Miao.
They might doubt what was happening, but they wouldn’t doubt their daughter.
Moreover, they didn’t believe that General Chu’s granddaughter would harm any citizen of their country.
Thus, the Feng parents got up and picked up their luggage and started moving down the bus.
Feng Tu’s teammates also had enough trust in their leader to know that she wouldn’t harm them.
Thus, they did the same and started to urge their families to get down from the bus.
"But, how are we going to live here?" One of the elderly women asked.
"Yeah, this place is basically a ruin. How could you all bring us here and even urge us to get down? What will we do in this place?" Another one complained.
As the teammates started to comfort their family members, the man who had been driving left his driver’s seat and went to his wife and daughter.
Without saying a word, he took the heavy luggage and said to his wife in a low voice, "Let’s get down, Honey. Feng won’t hurt us."
It was a simple sentence, but it showed the kind of trust he had in his leader. He also had a certain level of trust in Chu Miao because he still remembered that she was the one who had given Feng Tu the guns they had been using.
If she was a bad person, she wouldn’t have given a way to protect themselves.
The others were also trying to explain this point to their families and it was only after almost ten minutes that they finally calmed down and started to alight from the vehicle.
Just as Chu Miao was about to wave her hand to store the bus after everyone had come down and taken all their luggage, a man wearing a military uniform appeared out of nowhere among the ruins.
It looked almost like he had appeared out of thin air and that scared the people who had just been convinced to get down from the bus so much that they wanted to run back inside.
But just as they turned, the bus disappeared as well. They found themselves standing there without a place to hide, so scared that they almost wet their pants.
While they were panicking, the soldier smiled and saluted Chu Miao.
"Young Miss, you are back." It wasn’t a question, but a statement and the soldier was happy to welcome her even if she had only been gone for a few hours.
Every member of the sect practically worshipped the Chu family members. They felt that they had given them a new lease of life, especially since they live just like they did before the apocalypse.
With the exception of having to go out and hunt zombies, their lives were just normal.
The people tasked with recruiting more members into the sect had already brought in many people and the place was now bustling.
In fact, inside the barrier there were still many people lined up to register who had been recruited and arrived today.
Soon, the place would have over two thousand people.
The soldier thought that even if the rest of the world was wiped out, with two thousand humans still remaining, they could marry and reproduce to fill the earth again.
Of course, he would never wish for such a thing to happen.
"Mmm...I am back, how is everything going?" Chu Miao was always friendly to her people.
Even though she was not the same innocent smiling girl who grew up in the modern world and had assimilated some of the characteristics of the previous Chu Yue from the ancient times, she was still the same person at the core.
Thus, she was patient with her people.
"Everything is going well. Our brothers have brought back quite a group of people. Our sect is growing and this way, we can give shelter to more people and ensure survival for more humans as well." The soldier said with pride.
He was among the first group of soldiers that arrived with Qi Long and was proud that he could be counted as the first people to join the sect.
That had become something to give them pride as the sect grew.
There were now buildings segregated for school including one for normal schooling and another for cultivation.
There was also a building that had been put aside to become a storage and dining area with an entire floor knocked down the walls dividing rooms to turn it into a kitchen.
Other floors also had their dividing walls knocked down to serve as dining halls.
The place where the soldiers usually used as a dining room on the fifteenth floor of the building Chu Miao and her family lived in had just been converted to a conference room that morning.
A lot of work was ongoing with more people showing up, but the building of the sect was going in the right direction.
Some of the newly arrived recruits who had been working in specific professions such as teaching before the apocalypse had volunteered to work in the areas their expertise was needed.
It was a very organized process and everything was on track.
Chu Miao was happy to hear the news and smiled.
"Alright, I brought more people, I’ll get them registered first." Chu Miao replied to the soldier who saluted again and stood a few steps away.
The people standing behind Chu Miao had heard their conversation and were still confused because they couldn’t see anything or anyone but they were no longer as scared or as nervous as before.
They just stood there to watch and what happened next made their jaws drop to the ground in shock.
