CHAPTER 216: CHAPTER 216: A DISASTER

The tiger was already back in Cassias’ inner space. Currently, it was feeding its cub. Hence, they didn’t call it out. After all, it had been working hard a few days ago.

When Cassias requested it to protect her mom, Zerra knew it sometimes acted more rationally than them. The tiger knew how to bid its time, waiting for the perfect moment for Henry to reveal his weakness.

"Release your people?" Henry’s men sneered. "How about you release our boss first?"

"Your boss isn’t with us." Darren took a deep breath, trying to be patient. "He got his damn karma, disappearing into some place only God knows where!"

"You are lying!" They had a look of disapproval on their faces. "Since you are being so dishonest, we will kill people here until you release our boss!"

With that, they instantly took action. "Men, let’s kill them!"

A bloody battle ensued.

Of course, the ability users they caught weren’t totally weak either. They would fight back. Some had been pretending to be weak and trying to find the best opportunity to make a sneak attack.

"Call for the ability users from the dorm!" Darren ordered.

Although they had some ability users keeping guard here, their numbers weren’t much. After he took over the base’s leadership, all the ability users under him returned to their assigned rooms.

Darren himself wasn’t idle either. He kept using his power to ward off anyone from trying to enter his brother’s room.

"Let’s go." Cassias pulled her hand, and she nodded.

They entered the fight. Zerra’s elder siblings and Sean were already resisting Henry’s men.

However, unlike last time when these people still resembled humans and possessed power like one. This time, they were a little strange. The way they fought... It reminded Zerra of a mad dog. Feral and the more the other party fought against them, the more ruthless and forceful they became.

"Shit," Laziel cursed. He had been using his water power to trap his opponent, hoping to put some distance between them.

"Where’s our reinforcement?" Darren asked with a deep frown. There weren’t only one or two people targeting him, and he had to use all his power resisting all of them.

They needed help quickly before he exhausted all his energy. He couldn’t afford to let them enter his brother’s room.

Nyra and Sean were probably the ones having the less harder time compared to others. Surprisingly, they had formed a team, fighting back to back.

Their backs almost touched each other, resisting any attacks coming their way. With their teamwork, they managed to kill a few enemies.

Zerra and Cassias did the same. They knew her current time was limited, so they were under deep pressure. Cassias was very ruthless, striking his opponents with lightning, stunning them before slashing their necks.

"They suffered deeply last time with a lot of wounds. Some are even barely making it out alive, but how..." she pondered out loud. "Even if they have some wood ability users on their side, the ability users can’t heal so many at once."

Bringing people back from death might even exhaust a normal wood ability user, not to mention so many at once.

Unfortunately, before she could reach her mom, a lot of ability users flooded the room, blocking Zerra and Cassias. They had come from the room beside them after they smashed the wall.

At the same time, a deep rumble sounded, as if the sky was falling.

"What is happening?!"

"What have you all done? Are you doing everything to stop us from finding our boss?!"

However, no one cared about their obsession with finding Henry. Because... they also had no idea what was happening.

A deep sinkhole appeared, spreading fast and swallowing everyone, starting from the ability users and then... her parents.

She found the answer to her ominous premonition.

Her heart continued to sink deeper along with her parents, who slowly disappeared. Yet, before she could get up and follow them, Cassias did something unexpected.

"No, Cassias, don’t do it!" She desperately tried to stop him to no avail.
