CHAPTER 662: BAI ZHAN: DON’T MAKE TROUBLE

"I saw it with my own two eyes! How can it be false?" Tong Huan stomped her feet. She was so angry that she was trembling with rage. She walked back and forth and started cursing in front of Bai Meiyue. Her anger could be noted from the fact that Tong Huan didn’t even think twice before cursing in front of Bai Meiyue, even though Bai Zhan was her brother. "You don’t know. A man’s heart and body are two different things. Their hearts might want you, but their bodies always want something else, every day a new flavour. Yueyue, you need to speak to your brother. Tell him, if he doesn’t want me, then be honest with me. There is no need to suppress his desires and act like a jerk!"

Tong Huan was really upset. Even though she said those words, her heart was still aching. How could Bai Zhan do such a thing to her? Wasn’t everything alright? Were they not happy? Why did this man have to make things murky for the two of them by getting involved with those rotten women?

"Alright, calm down." Bai Meiyue had a feeling that there was some misunderstanding. Her brother might be a fool, but he was not such a big fool that he would get involved with Xu Yiyi. What was more, he was such a shy person. How could he get involved with someone as flashy as Xu Yiyi?

"I will talk with my brother and ask him what he means by these actions of his. Okay? Stop crying."

"You should ask him, what is he trying to do? Why get together with me if he didn’t want to be with me?" Tong Huan spoke with aggrieved red eyes. "You also need to do something about those vixens; if you keep them here, then they will definitely try to go after other men as well. You are pregnant and should keep a close eye on Lei Qian. You can never trust anyone!"

Lei Qian, who had just walked inside the mansion, was stabbed in the chest without doing anything. He raised his head and looked at Tong Huan, who was cursing all men, and turned to look at Bai Meiyue, who glared at him. Realising that this was not the time for him to interfere, he could only turn on his feet and walk out of the mansion.

Inside, Bai Meiyue turned and comforted Tong Huan. "Alright, I will think of a way to control those vixens. Don’t get upset."

Bai Meiyue continued to coax Tong Huan. When the sound of footsteps returned, she thought that it was Lei Qian again; after all, that man had always been quite impatient. But when she raised her head, she saw that it was her brother. He was standing at the threshold and looking at Tong Huan hesitantly. When Tong Huan saw him, she snorted and turned her head away coldly.

Bai Zhan felt even more wronged and walked over to Bai Meiyue.

He said to her, "Yueyue, you need to make a judgement—"

"What kind of judgement?" Tong Huan raised her voice and turned to look at the man who had just started to speak. She stood up on her feet and glared at the man. "What kind of judgement do you want to make after getting involved with those women? Do you think that Yueyue is not smart enough to see through your lies?"

Bai Meiyue turned and looked at her brother, who seemed as helpless as a headless chicken. She sighed and shook her head. She could see that her brother was having a hard time dealing with the situation. She said to him, "Brother Zhan, Sister Huan said that you and those girls under Xu Yiyi were making trouble. Did you really get involved with those women?"

She had hardly finished speaking; Tong Huan snorted again and then walked out of the living hall without caring about what Bai Zhan wanted to say to her. Bai Meiyue sighed, "Brother, what are you doing? Why did you get involved with those women when you have Sister Huan? Just what are you thinking?" She raised her voice ever so slightly, such that Tong Huan could hear her.

"No! No! She misunderstood me." Bai Zhan was speechless and angry. He never thought that Tong Huan would speak nonsense in front of his sister. He had been honest through and through all his life, and all of a sudden, Tong Huan was telling his sister that he got involved with someone else. That too with a woman like Xu Yiyi; that was simply unreasonable and destroyed his reputation. How could she talk nonsense without understanding what was going on?

Bai Zhan then turned to look at Bai Meiyue; he explained to her, "Those women came to me because they were upset with you. You asked them to hike up their prices before doing business, but they are afraid that they will not be able to get any business after raising their prices. So they all came to make trouble with me and asked me to make you understand that their business is not that simple."

"Why would they go to make trouble with you when it was Yueyue who stopped them?" Tong Huan was listening to the conversation of the two siblings when she heard Bai Zhan’s explanation; she scoffed and turned to look at him angrily. She turned and pointed at Bai Zhan’s nose before asking, "Just who do you think you are for them to come looking for you?"

Bai Zhan sighed. He turned on his feet and looked at Tong Huan. He tried to explain to her, "I am her brother, so of course, they would think that I have some say in this situation. Do you think they came to look for me for something else?"
