Apocalyptic Rebirth: With a repairman system space, she rises again.

CHAPTER 78: AWAKENING MYSTERIES.
"Lady, you need to calm down and stop catalyzing the situation, these people are on edge but instead of calming them down, you are riling them on. And you call yourself the people’s representative. I think you are representing yourself." Nimo let out a frustrated sigh. "Suni....no President Sunshine will surely brief all of us about the situation.
Whether he is contagious or not, I am sure you will soon find out. But I am sure that as long as we don’t drink the yellow rain we will all be fine and it looks to me like the yellow rain has cleared up.
Anyone that feels like they are not safe within these walls should just pack up and leave. Meanwhile, the work out session is over, go to work." Nimo motioned at them to leave.
Helena was not contented, and her hands were clenched as her husband dragged her away.
Nimo shook her head as she glanced at the back of the woman that gave herself too much importance. One day, Helena would cross a limit and find herself outside the wall. Sunshine was not someone with much patience for idiots.
It was a miracle that she had stuck with Cassius for as she had in that apocalypse before her rebirth. Perhaps it was because she had grown up with him, so she carried a soft spot for him and considered him family.
Thinking of family made Nimo think of her brother. Where was Alfred, was he alive?

Sunshine was alerted to Helena’s attempt to stir the residents. It was a small thing; she did not let it bother her. She was supervising the work out session of the Quinn children which was about to be wrapped up.
They worked out in the gym on the twenty seventh floor. Jet Quinn had already given up.
Jet was Hadrian Quinn’s only child. His mother had passed away during childbirth and Hadrian raised him with the help of the family. He was six years old, pampered and lazy.
As soon as he burst into tears when Sunshine made them do sit ups, she carried him to the corner and told him to rest. She was not even expecting expert kind of sit ups, just toddler ones. Jet was too soft to even try.
Even Castiel was trying, young as he was. He was taking it as a game, laughing and climbing on Sunshine occasionally but he was trying, and he got an A for effort.
Ariel was taking to the work outs like he did everything, with the spirit of a hero that would conquer his quest. Earl was doing one exercise per minute and then resting for another.
Dido Quinn was trying her best. She wanted to prove that she could beat Ariel. The little girl was adorable, so much so that Sunshine wished they could keep her.
Sunshine stood up with Castiel still in her arms and she clapped for the children. "Great job babies. Now let’s stretch."
She put Castiel down and urged him to copy her movements. After one minute of stretching, the work out session was officially ended.
Jet run out of the gym, Dido crawled out on her hands and knees. Earl, Ariel and Castiel found places around her, and they all lay down, facing the ceiling.
"That was the hardest work out of my life." Earl declared through deep breaths.
Sunshine laughed. "Earl, that was the first work out of your life."
"And last." He declared.
Sunshine stretched her hand and ruffled his hair. "Buddy, we have to do it again tomorrow.
"But my bones have melted." Earl whined.
She sat up and checked his bones, smiling the entire time. "Seems pretty normal to me. You are going to need to find another excuse."
"Now come on, let’s take our baths and go to work." She pulled Earl up and carried Castiel.
After cleaning up, she dropped Castiel off at the toddler daycare with other children his age. She went to the medic bay with Earl, handing him off to the adoring crowd of nurses that were eager to dote on their young student.
From there, she moved to the isolation wing to check on the one patient that had drunk citrus drizzle.
Private Pamela moved to block her path outside the wing. She looked exhausted and worried. "President, can I please have a word ma’am." She politely requested.
Sunshine nodded. "Of course, Private Pamela."
The private put her arms behind her back and stood still like she was addressing a superior officer. "I would like to apologize for the mistake made by brother. If he is ill in any way that endangers the rest of the residents. I volunteer to take him and leave."
She had not missed the whispers and noise Helena was making about her brother turning into a zombie and biting everyone.
Sunshine placed her hand on Pamela’s arm. "It is noble that you are willing to risk your safety and that of your brother to put everyone else at ease, but I assure you that your brother is no zombie and he is not infectious." She spoke with certainty. "In the end, he harmed himself and not others so we will not punish him. But I hope that this will be a lesson to him, and he will not make the same mistake again."
Private Pamela released a shaky breath. As brave as she was about taking her brother and leaving, she was scared to brave the acid rain and the other disasters.
Sunshine tapped her arm once again. Nurse Kendall came out of the isolation wing just in time to run into Sunshine and they exchanged greetings.
"I am here for an update on the patient. Have there been any changes in his condition?"
"We had to sedate him." Nurse Kendall pushed the door open, and Sunshine followed her inside. "We also had to restrain him to the bed as he was determined to hurt himself. It is not strangest thing I have ever seen as I have worked in a psychiatric hospital before." She paused her steps and turned around to look at Sunshine. "That sister Ann passed by, and she suggested an exorcism. Doctor Antonio chased her away with a needle."
Sunshine laughed.
Nurse Kendall also laughed. "But surprisingly he has woken up a couple of times and he was just silent as if lost in a daze. Oh...his we examined his blood but couldn’t find anything to explain the symptoms he was exhibiting. This yellow rain was bizarre." She stopped at the bed and handed Sunshine a mask. "Just in case."
Sunshine covered her nose and looked at the patient. He was sleeping but still handcuffed to the bed. There were some red marks around his wrists which proved how hard he had fought against the restraints.
"System scan the patient’s condition."
[It is just as the thermal band says, his heart rate and temperature are back to normal, there is still mild citrus drizzle running in his veins, but he is on the road to recovery.]
"Are there are no anomalies in him that could lead to an awakening?"
[Nothing of the sort detected.]
Sunshine noted the information; she had awakened because of the citrus drizzle even though she had not ingested it. He had ingested it and not awakened. Why? Awakening was truly still an unexplainable mystery.
She left the medic bay and headed to the workshop. The gun assembly line was ready to be used, and she wanted to make sure that all was working as should be.
On the way inside, she found Lisha coming out through the entrance.
"Suni!" Lisha waved eagerly, rushing her steps towards Sunshine. "Are you alright? I checked the stats on all the resident’s thermal bands and your temperature numbers were in negative. We need to have that thermal band fixed."
Sunshine took it off her wrist and handed it to Lisha. "Thank you for your hard work, Lisha."
"What would you all do without me?" Lisha flipped her hair and rushed off.
Sunshine laughed and took a step inside but stopped as Nimo’s voice came through the walkie-talkie.
"Suni? Suni Come in."
"I am here."
Nimo replied, "There is a troublesome group of people reported to be seeking refuge at our base. They were told to go elsewhere, and they are not taking it well. Some are throwing stones and others want to climb the wall. Should we activate the wall security measures?"
