CHAPTER 169: CHAPTER 169: YOU WANT TO DANCE TOO?

The one swinging his sword at Uchiha Madara was Gerard Valkyrie, the same guy who attacked the big dog earlier. His holy letter is "M", which stands for "Miracle."

He’s actually the Spirit King’s heart, and his power lets him turn bad situations into good ones. That’s why he’s called "Miracle."

To put it simply, the more damage his body takes, the more power he gains. The heavier the hit, the faster he grows stronger.

Before Gerard could react, Uchiha Madara raised his fist and slammed it into his stomach.

Gerard’s giant body flew backward like a cannonball. Before he even hit the ground, Uchiha Madara was already there, smashing another punch into his head.

Gerard’s entire body burst apart on the spot and scattered into spirit particles.

Standing firmly on the ground, Uchiha Madara seemed to sense something. He turned slightly and saw two members of the Sternritter rushing at him from both sides.

One was Bambietta with the letter "E," and the other was Cang Du with the letter "I." Bambietta held a short military blade, while Cang Du’s right hand was covered in steel claws.

They moved incredibly fast, and in an instant, they were already right in front of Uchiha Madara. Cang Du raised his claw and thrust it straight at him.

That claw was surrounded by a deadly spirit energy field—strong enough to even cut through a Soul Reaper’s Zanpakuto.

But UchihaMadara didn’t even flinch. He threw a punch straight at Cang Du. The force of the wind howled.

The sharp sound of breaking bones.

Cang Du’s eyes widened in disbelief as he watched his claw get shattered by UchihaMadara’s fist. Not only that, but the blast from the punch also blew a huge hole in his supposedly indestructible body.

"Damn it!" Bambietta knew things were going south. She quickly turned to retreat.

But just as she moved, a pale hand grabbed her throat and lifted her into the air like she was nothing more than a baby chick. "You want to dance too?"

"No, stop..." Bambietta’s face flushed red, and her breathing grew labored.

She regretted it.

If she had known things would turn out like this, she never would’ve stepped up. She should’ve just stayed hidden in the back like Minie. That boy—he’s a monster. There’s no way they can beat him.

"Hey! Let her go!" a loud voice shouted.

A girl with bright green hair, crackling with electricity, swept her right leg toward Uchiha Madara. At the same time, a dark-glowing bullet shot through the air, piercing Bambietta’s lung and slamming into Madara’s chest.

Clink.

The bullet dropped to the ground, then dissolved into spirit particles.

"No way!" Lille Barro, who had fired the surprise shot from a distance, gasped in disbelief.

His bullets were supposed to pierce anything. In the original Soul Reaper lore, not even Squad Zero could block them. Yet this boy had taken it head-on—with just his spirit body?

"Hmph. Useless rats." Uchiha snorted and tilted his head to dodge Candice’s next attack. He grabbed Bambietta’s sword with one hand and casually tossed it in the direction the bullet had come from.

Thunk.

The sword stabbed right between Liltotto Barro’s eyebrows, piercing straight through his brain. As a member of the Schutzstaffel with the codename "X", he probably never expected to die in such a humiliating way.

"We’re totally outmatched..." not far away, short-haired Quincy Liltotto gasped at the scene. "Is this guy really a Soul Reaper?"

"He hasn’t even released his Zanpakutō yet," said the pretty-faced girl beside her with long black hair. "When he fought Gerard, it was like he was playing around."

That long-haired Quincy was Giselle Gewelle. She looked like a girl—but in truth, she was a crossdresser.

"That idiot Candice actually charged in like that," Liltotto sighed deeply. "All for that dumb girl Bambietta... was it worth it?"

"Luckily, it doesn’t seem like that Soul Reaper boy plans to kill her," Giselle chimed in.

"So, what should we do now?" Minina, who hadn’t spoken until now, asked quietly.

Liltotto was silent for a moment, then said, "Wait for a chance. When it comes, we run. The Wandenreich is finished. Let’s head to the human world."

Their small group was a bit of an odd bunch in the Sternritter ranks.

They did respect Yhwach, but none of them were ready to throw their lives away for his cause. Even if every Quincy in the Wandenreich fought together, they still couldn’t beat that Soul Reaper kid. If they joined in now, they’d just be dying for nothing.

If that’s the case, better to stay alive and find another way.

Buzz.

Suddenly, a strange energy wave rippled out from Silbern. The remaining Quincies who felt it all widened their eyes, shocked.

Even Candice, who stood bruised and battered across from Uchiha Madara, froze. Her eyes trembled. "No way... That’s the collapse of the altar?"

"If the altar’s collapsing... does that mean... His Majesty is dead?" Giselle asked, stunned.

Right after she spoke, the buildings around the Wandenreich began to crumble. The barrier made of spirit particles that had once hidden everything started breaking down.

The protective walls of the empire peeled away like old wallpaper, revealing the world of Soul Society beyond them.

"It’s over. We’re done. Even the path to escape to the human world is blocked."

Liltotto shook her head and took a deep breath. Slowly, she stood up from the rubble where she’d been hiding, and called out toward Uchiha Madara:

"Hey, Soul Reaper boy over there—mind if we surrender?"
