As usual, when we win the Official System Event, I leave immediately without bothering with the after-event ceremonies. And after leaving, I immediately open my Skill Trees before finally purchasing the skill I've been wanting to buy for quite a while now.

{Visual Focus – UNIQUE SKILL – Your eyes gain the ability to lock onto specific objects and directly control the amount of True Damage that object receives from Gaze of Destruction.}

I open my eyes again with this skill now in use, letting me control the exact amount of damage I deal with my gaze. Then I look at the rest of the Skill Points I've built up over time since leaving the Unique Domain. Which is around three or so thousand Skill Points.

Huh. I actually have a lot more than I thought I would…

I frown at that before eventually just shrugging.

"You did kill a lot before winning that event," Chaos says, which makes sense.

As for the other skills I can purchase right now…

I look through the many Skill Trees I have before glancing at the Queen of Destruction Skill Tree again.

Hmm… the only things I can currently afford in the Queen of Destruction Skill Tree are the 3500 Skill Point skill in the breath and energy branch of the Skill Tree, or the 3500 Skill Point skill in the magic branch of the Skill Tree. As for the skills themselves…

I open up both of their descriptions.

{Flames of the Queen – UNIQUE SKILL – Locked – This skill allows the Queen of Destruction to shoot out lesser crimson flames of destruction from any point on her body.} – [Spend 3500 Skill Points to unlock this skill.]

{Queen's Affinity – UNIQUE SKILL – Locked – This skill increases the ease in which the Queen can control destruction mana by 20%.} – [Spend 3500 Skill Points to unlock this skill.]

I look between the two for a second before frowning and eventually deciding on Flames of the Queen. Because I don't have any directly offensive non-physical type attacks from my Queen of Destruction Skill Tree yet. Not counting perfect mana manipulation.

On another note, I go ahead and look at the next two skills that split off from Visual Focus. Only to frown at the sight of their descriptions.

{Wings of the Queen – UNIQUE SKILL – Locked – This skill grants the Queen of Destruction retractable wings.} – [Spend 10000 Skill Points to unlock this skill.]

{Tail of the Queen – UNIQUE SKILL – Locked – This skill grants the Queen of Destruction a retractable tail.} – [Spend 10000 Skill Points to unlock this skill.]

Huh. That's incredibly expensive.

Way too expensive, in my opinion.

That said, the wings look interesting. Well, ignoring the fact that I already have wings.

My wings are from Chaos after all, so they're probably just as good if not better than the Wings of the Queen of Destruction. And I don't really see much point in getting a tail right now.

Still… 10000 Skill Points per skill…

That's a lot.

Now then. Onto the next matter of business.

"Chaos?" I ask out loud while opening up the System Forums and glancing at them as I walk through my Spire towards the roof. Or to be more specific, glancing at the forums talking about me. Where I see them mentioning another new curse.

"Yes, sweetheart?" Chaos asks with a rather innocent sounding voice. "Is something wrong?"

I glance up when he appears to find Chaos suddenly appearing above me as I walk.

"Why exactly are you cursing this skeletal horse so much?" I ask while tilting my head.

It's been on my mind for a while now. Not just you either, but the other Primordials who are cursing it as well.

Are you just pranking people? Doing it for fun?

"A bit of both," Chaos says with a shrug. "It's fun to do, but cursing it like this also makes more people watch your events just to get rid of it. Which will mean more profits for you later on."

Huh. That's nice of you.

How many people have owned this skeletal horse anyways?

"At least a few thousand by now," Chaos answers, making my eyes widen a bit.

I almost feel sorry for them.

Almost.

It's their own fault for gambling though, so…

Anyways, I need to focus on leveling up for now. And getting more skills.

Which means one of two things. Either clearing Domains by the dozens, or competing in Official System Events.

What's your opinion?

"I'd go with the Official System Events," Chaos answers right away. "You'll have stronger opponents and more opportunities for good skills and to level up. You'll also increase your winning streak early on, which will help you a lot in the later Classes."

Interesting. Thank you.

Without any hesitation, once I reach the top of the Spire, I begin to search through the different Official System Events that are currently available to join to decide which one I should compete in. And at some point as I'm doing that, Chaos leaves, saying something about something important coming up.

But I'm too focused on searching for the next event to say anything other than a quick farewell.

As for the current Official System Events that are available to join, I eventually end up deciding on another battle royale one. Except with this one being specifically focused on the last person standing winning.

People can surrender in it without a coupon, and everyone is battling in one massive arena. So the event is pretty nice for me.

While I was searching for events to join, I saw quite a few non-combat centered events. More than I think I saw before.

I wonder why that is?

From what I understand, the Official System Events are created by the Primordials and by the Class S hunters. With the Primordial of Order, Justicar, being the one who makes the vast majority of the Official System Events.

That said, the Official System Events that are currently running at any time are chosen out of a pool of the existing events. So even with events opening up to join all the time, that doesn't mean they're brand new ones.

And the one that chooses them is the Primordial of Order.

Which means the Primordial of Order is currently selecting more non-combat events than combat ones.

Or at least, he's doing that for the Class D Official System Events.

I wonder if that's my fault? Because I'm too strong…

Well, it doesn't really matter to me so long as there are still combat events that I can get new skills from.

It is interesting that all the Primordials have their own types of events that they make though. At least from what Chaos said they do.

And, as expected, the events Chaos makes the most generally involve monsters.

That thought makes me remember what ended up of those planets he practically destroyed by turning into monster infested worlds.

Hmm.

Anyways, I go ahead and join the Official System Event. Then I just sit down on the edge of my Spire while looking out at the people entering said Spire and enjoying the very fact that I can do that without killing them on accident.

It's so nice not destroying everything I look at anymore…

A faint smile spreads across my face as I rest my cheek on the palm of my hand with my elbow on the knee. And since I'm waiting, I go ahead and do some experiments with my new focus skill. Just looking at the trees of the forest and varying the amount of damage my Gaze of Destruction does.

It's a very easy thing to do, so that's good. To the point that I don't even have to think about it.

The skill just follows what I want as if on instinct.

After testing that one out, I raise my hand in front of me before activating the flames skill I just got. Making black and crimson flames spew out of my hand like a dragon's breath.

I give a light nod of my head in satisfaction with my new skills before sitting back and waiting the rest of the time for the event to begin.
