CHAPTER 22: 22. THE STRANGER SHOWED GREED TOWARDS HER

Although Nisha wasn’t present, Shi Nian still didn’t want to miss the opportunity tonight. She gathered her courage, facing the various gazes with different meanings, and walked around the hall, trying hard to capture all the incoming men on her camera.

Nisha had mentioned to her that this crime group controlled many child brides like her, selling their innocence was not enough, they also exploited them to sell drugs. Among their customers, there were many notable figures, who beneath their respectable appearances, hid dirty hearts.

Thinking of this, she slowly released her hand, which had been clutching her skirt hem all along.

The skirt was already as short as could be, and now it fluttered with her stride.

This pure seduction tightly captured the eyes of those around.

A tall man, who had been quietly standing in a corner with a glass of white wine in hand, had been eyeing Shi Nian from afar for a long time, ever since she walked through the hallway with a look of tension and bewilderment, bathed in the enchanting light.

Gradually, he saw clearly her shy yet courageous eyes.

He then took a light sip of the wine, put down the glass, stepped forward, and grabbed Shi Nian’s elbow.

Shi Nian was startled, turning like a startled deer.

The tall man wore an extremely formal three-piece black suit, his white shirt starched to crispness. He wore a black mask on his face, his voice low and hoarse: "...I want you."

Shi Nian gasped in shock.

She had heard about the kind of business done at Yanwu Square, but didn’t expect such straightforwardness. Shi Nian struggled quietly: "Sir, I—I just came to find a friend."

The man, however, raised his head arrogantly: "Tell me, how much."

His fingers tightened more, digging deep into Shi Nian’s flesh, gradually growing hot, making Shi Nian shiver uncontrollably.

She took a deep breath: "Sir, I... I’m really just here to find a friend."

The man in charge of the scene earlier saw this and hurriedly "turned" over with waltz-like steps, smiling as he separated the two. He respectfully said to the man: "Mr. Q, don’t misunderstand, this young lady is indeed here for the first time tonight. She doesn’t understand the rules yet, please don’t rush. How about I introduce someone else to you?"

Shi Nian squinted and indeed saw a playing card hanging on the man’s left chest, the spade Q. It turned out all the guests’ identities were kept secret and coded in this way.

Mr. Q, however, was insistent: "...It doesn’t matter if it’s her first night here, and not understanding the rules is no issue. I’ll train her."

The man overseeing the scene gave an embarrassed smile and leaned in, whispering into Mr. Q’s ear: "Please don’t rush. Her identity hasn’t been confirmed yet. To ensure all guests’ safety, please wait a moment. Her introducer is Nisha, let’s wait until Nisha returns, then we’ll talk."

Mr. Q’s black eyes fiercely stared at Shi Nian, from her slightly open collar, finally settling beneath her short skirt. Her long, smooth legs were complemented by long socks just above the knee, making his throat tighten.

Shi Nian forcefully ignored the gaze, turning her head forcefully away, asking the man overseeing the scene: "When will Nisha return?"

Just as she spoke, there was a commotion at the doorway, and speak of the devil, Nisha rushed in, flustered and panicked, scanned the room without focus, then crazily ran over and hugged the man overseeing the scene.

"Father, save me, save me. I didn’t kill anyone, but that person just died like that!"
