CHAPTER 46: 46. YOU DELIBERATELY MADE ME LOSE CONTROL

Before leaving the hospital, Shi Nian specially went to thank Du Songnian and insisted on settling her own medical bills.

Du Songnian glanced at Tang Yanqing, then smiled, "Yanqing has already paid. You two can settle it between yourselves later."

Tang Yanqing leaned against the doorframe, shrugging, "Treat me to a meal."

Du Songnian burst out laughing, while Tang Yanqing innocently spread his hands... Shi Nian just felt it was strange and her face turned red.

Du Songnian personally walked her to the door and hesitantly asked, "You’re a journalist, so you must be great with language, right?"

Shi Nian turned back in surprise, shaking her head shyly, "Quite the opposite, actually. Maybe it’s because of cross-language issues, I’ve had trouble using many English words properly up until now. Tang Yanqing raised his eyes and squinted at Du Songlin. Du Songlin, however, didn’t say much, only adding, "Doctors don’t usually say goodbye. After all, seeing a doctor means you’re sick, hehe."

Leaving the hospital, Shi Nian wanted to call a cab herself. Just as she raised her hand, Tang Yanqing grabbed her wrist, lowering her arm back down. He then walked over to the police car and opened the door for her.

Shi Nian’s unease hadn’t completely dissipated, so she cautiously held her purse strap, "Isn’t this misuse of public resources? Thank you, but I’ll call a cab myself."

Without saying anything, he simply walked behind her, pressed her head gently, and easily pushed her into the car. He leaned in, disregarding her protests, and fastened her seatbelt before returning to the driver’s seat.

Shi Nian glared at him, "Mr. Tang, what are you up to now?"

He put on his sunglasses and stretched his long legs to step on the gas, "Your mini skirt got torn by me, I should at least give you a ride."

Shi Nian, not caring that the car was moving, angrily went to unbuckle her seatbelt, "Are you still bringing that up?"

She really regretted making peace with him; he clearly hasn’t changed his ways!

"Who’s messing around with you?" Shi Nian felt her eyes burning with embarrassment. Damn it, she still couldn’t forget when he frisked her. Even now, she could almost feel his hands on her!

"I get it, Mr. Tang, so your actions before and after are connected. You first said in the parking lot you wanted to see the view under my mini skirt, then you deliberately frisked me afterward—you did it all on purpose!"

He laughed silently, quietly clenching his fingertips. At that moment, the sunset shone like gold on her furiously blushing apple-red face, her pupils deep black and bright.
