CHAPTER 73: THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Chapter 73

A month ago before the vacation. Federal City.

Amanda sat alone in the dim corner of the bar, the low hum of conversations and clinking glasses fading into the background.

Her face scanned around the bar to see some people humping each other at the corner, even a couple in front of her table were currently tongue-fucking each other’s mouths.

Amanda dropped her eyes down, staring at her phone with no messages or calls from the person she called husband — he didn’t even check on her or ask why she wasn’t back yet. Yet he doesn’t. Another daily reminder for her again.

Her fingers anxiously traced the rim of her drink, a pit growing in her stomach which she wanted to and tried to ignore.

She took a gulp, slamming the empty glass on the table before raising her hand to get another refill. The loneliness felt suffocating — choking her, her beautiful face marred with sadness, which was quite different from her arrogant crafted façade. She had been married to Aaron for four years and some months — running and pinning after him, yet she only met with cold and indifference. Every single moment.

It was like there was no ounce of emotion in him. He did his role to show the media they were okay with living in the same condo yet different rooms, kitchen, living room — literally neighbors. And took time every Saturday evening to take her to dinner where any paparazzi could take pictures if they wanted. Then after an hour of her oversharing and eating, Aaron would check his wristwatch — and exactly an hour later, they would drive home.

The routine had been the same for the last four years and that was why Amanda whined to Brenda after promising herself not to complain anymore. She’d call Brenda, maybe even deceiving her.

And that made Brenda plan the impromptu vacation for both of them.

The music in the background did nothing to ease the hole in her heart as she asked the lady that wanted to refill her glass if there was any drink stronger than the first one.

Amanda smiled, and the lady nodded. Amanda wanted to feel the scorching hotness burn her throat, maybe knock her out, blank her brain from thinking, and patch the cracks in her heart.

The lady came back with a transparent jar in which the colorful content was visible. She raised her cup for the refill. Without waiting for the lady’s explanation, she drowned it and felt her throat burning, her eyes stinging.

"You can’t —" the lady’s mouth hung open before shaking her head, dropping the jar on the table, and leaving.

Amanda felt her nose itch and rubbed it, already feeling the drink thrumming in her bloodstream — a good distraction to take her mind off Aaron. Just to escape from thinking about him, even if just for a moment.

As she tried to hold the jar and refill, a stranger slid onto the stool beside her, gingerly taking the jar from her, not before their hands brushed and Amanda shivered.

"Let me help you, my lady," the man said with a sweet smile.

And Amanda’s heart pulled. Why can’t Aaron smile at her like this?

The stranger poured the drink into the cup and handed it to Amanda, "Gently, my lady, or you’ll get intoxicated quickly, m’lady."

"Stop calling me m’lady. I’m Amanda Knight," she mumbled, her elbow resting on the table yet kept falling down.

"Amanda," the man hummed, "So beautiful like the bearer." And Amanda felt a blush creep on her cheeks as she fanned her face.

"I’m married," Amanda said, showing her middle finger.

"Oh," he trailed off, "I’ve been watching you for hours now. I neither see your husband nor any partner and your eyes pulled me in." The man grabbed her stretched hand and placed a soft peck on her finger.

Amanda shivered, the place his lips brushed burned and without thinking, she took another glass. She blinked behind her hooded eyes and thought — only if Aaron could be attentive, gentle, and charming like this stranger.

"My husband won’t like this," Amanda said and retrieved her hand, keeping it under the table.

"And the husband isn’t here with you, and the husband doesn’t need to know," the man grinned, his hand caressing Amanda’s cheek.

"What do you mean?"

"I can make you feel love just for the night. You forget your husband tonight and get the love, worship you deserve."

Amanda gulped, fluttered her lashes as she clutched her gown on her thigh. "How can you do that?" she slurred, nuzzling more into the man’s palm.

For some hours, Amanda wanted to forget everything, run away, and craved the fleeting warmth and attention which was a contrast to her reality.

The man stood up and took her hand in his and without thinking, Amanda followed him out of the bar. Even if she didn’t come home, Aaron wouldn’t know or care.

Her mind was screaming no, yet the alcohol in her system and her heart were yearning for an embrace. At least someone wanted her.

The man took her to the nearest motel and checked in. Before Amanda could think, she had been pushed on the bed. They shared a kiss, discarding their clothes as the slapping and moaning filled the room.

Just for tonight, she wanted to escape the reality waiting for her.

.

Morning after, when she woke up, she was shocked to see herself entangled with a man. The dizziness vanished from her body as she glanced around and noticed where she was was different.

She pulled the blanket over her naked body, her thighs sore yet cum kept trickling down her legs as she picked her discarded clothes off the floor.

Shit!

Shit!

What had she done?!

She had a night with another man who wasn’t her husband. Aaron and her father mustn’t find out.

This dirty secret must be kept till her grave. Amanda told herself it was just one night, and it was a harmless mistake, trying to convince herself.

No matter how lonely she was, she wasn’t supposed to seek another man’s embrace, she reprimanded herself as she picked her heels to escape. The stranger, who she later knew was Marcus, woke up.

His head on his crouched thigh as he had a smirk on his face. "Where are you going, darling?"

"Emm," Amanda was short of words as she dropped her heels she had picked up, her arm frozen.

"Do you want to use me and ditch me?" Marcus stood up, his cock flung naked as she took a step back.

"N-no," Amanda stuttered, raising her hands to deny the accusation.

"Yes, m’lady," Marcus said, walked to her, grabbed her cheeks, and pulled her into a harsh kiss.

"Mmmf," her words were muffled as Marcus’s fingers found their way to her lower region.

"You’re going out with my cum leaking," he bit her lips, "You are so naughty." He jabbed two fingers in her and Amanda wrapped her hands around his neck, her legs shaking.

"I need to go," she breathed out.

"Let me remove my cum from you," Marcus had said, yet Amanda was pulled back on the bed, and without thinking, another passionate, intimate session began again.
