CHAPTER 29: LICE’S HOUSE(PART-1)
(Hello~ Is that you, Dapper?) a voice echoed from the other end of the line.
"Yeah, it’s me, Lice. You mean you still haven’t saved my number?"
(Haa, I showed up this morning and didn’t see you or Yavo until I left. What’s going on?)
"I’m thinking of coming over to chill at your place like old times. Play some games too. Also planning to grab some liquor. Now that we’re done with high school, we should be free to drink, right?" Dapper said.
(Holy—shit! Fuck yeah! I’ve been dying to taste alcohol! Wait—are you messing with me?)
"I’m dead serious. I’ll be there soon. I’m eighteen now, so I can buy the liquor myself. Call Yavo and tell him to meet us there too. See you soon," Dapper replied, ending the call.
"Heh, this just keeps getting better," Dapper muttered with a grin stretching across his face. "Oh right... since I’m here, might as well finish my business," he added, pulling down his pants and sitting back on the toilet.
His eyes bulged, his neck veins pulsing as he summoned every ounce of strength to fire out his organic missile.
’What the hell... why does this remind me of the time I ate Taco Bell?’ Dapper thought, sweat dripping down his temple.
---
Dapper eventually finished his business and now felt as light as air. Oddly enough, he hadn’t taken a dump since reincarnating into this body several days ago. He was now heading toward a potion and drug store.
[Master, you’ve been grinning non-stop. What sort of wicked plan are you plotting now?]
’Oh, right. You can’t read minds. Good to know. Just watch, Bay—things are about to get interesting.’
[Fufufu...]
Dapper arrived at the potion and drug store and explained the type of potion he needed. In this world, potions were infused with mana essence while drugs were purely organic. Potions were more effective—but also pricier. Only the wealthy or adventurers could usually afford them.
"Mmm~" The store owner gave Dapper a good look, thoughtfully stroking his beard. He appeared to be in his early fifties, with a scarf tied neatly around his head.
’A young man like this asking for an Impotency Potion? Then again, I can’t blame him. With a face like that, women would be lining up to get pregnant for him.’
"It’s twenty Yexen per vial," the shopkeeper finally said.
"Twenty Yexen?!" Dapper blurted out. That was a lot, enough to feed a middle-class family for an entire day.
"Well, you could go for the drug version—it’s just one Yexen per pill. Or, if you buy more than ten vials of the potion, I’ll throw in a fifty percent discount," the man offered.
’A fifty percent discount? That’s not bad... I might as well stock up.’
"Alright, I’ll take twenty," Dapper said.
The shopkeeper’s eyes nearly popped out of his head. Who the hell needed twenty vials of an Impotency Potion? Only pornstars bought in bulk like that.
"O-Okay, give me a few minutes," the old man stammered and went inside. He returned shortly after with a small crate packed with potion vials. Placing them carefully in a paper bag, he handed it to Dapper.
Dapper transferred the funds directly from his bank account and stepped out of the store. Once he was sure no one was watching, he pulled out one of the vials and downed it in one gulp, then stored the rest in his inventory.
Next, he headed to the liquor store.
—––
Dapper now stood in front of a massive mansion, waiting as the security guard checked for clearance. It was Lice’s house. Compared to him, Lice and Yavo were practically nobles who lived in an entirely different realm. The only reason Dapper could hang around them or stand as their equal was because of Ruth. Marrying her granted him noble status, officially elevating him.
What made him value Yavo and Lice wasn’t just their wealth or class—it was that even after knowing everything about him, they never looked down on him like everyone else did.
"You may come in," the security finally said, motioning for him to enter.
Dapper walked inside, making his way toward the main building. The compound was wide, though still small compared to the Freeman estate.
Stepping into the building, he arrived at the first living room on the ground floor—and was met with sheer luxury. Elegant chairs lined with gold-patterned trims filled the space, arranged around a massive TV console and a screen that spanned nearly half the wall. Thanks to the room’s size, it didn’t strain the eyes. Two towering flower vases stood on either side of the console, real flowers blooming from them, filling the room with a faint musky scent that blended beautifully with the carefully curated art pieces hung across the walls.
Suddenly, he noticed someone already seated on one of the couches, and the two of them shared an equal look of shock.
"Dapper!"
"Mira!" they both blurted out at once.
Mira was a plump woman in her early to mid-twenties with flowing jet-black hair and a distinct skin-mole on her nose that enhanced her allure. She bore a strong resemblance to Lice, perhaps even more appealing, possibly thanks to her skincare regimen. She was Lice’s older sister, the second-born of their family. Lice was the youngest of five siblings.
What stunned Dapper wasn’t just her presence, it was the baby latched to her chest, greedily nursing from her breast. Her other breast, still full, was leaking milk through her thin camisole.
"Y-You gave birth?" Dapper asked, clearly shocked. Mira had always liked his predecessor, mainly for his looks whenever he came around. But unlike Dapper, the predecessor was a total simp.
"Yeah, I gave birth to a baby girl. Her name’s Nina," Mira said softly. Almost as if understanding, the baby paused her suckling and looked at Dapper with narrowed eyes before returning to her meal.
"Haha, she’s adorable. But Lice never told me you were pregnant or had a baby," Dapper said, scratching the back of his head.
Mira smiled gently. "It’s a long story. But tell me, Dapper... when was the last time you came around? If I remember correctly, didn’t you stop visiting because of what happened that day?"
