Chapter 43: Revenge Plan
CHAPTER 43: REVENGE PLAN
Night came. Ruth had returned from her outing and made dinner for the family. Everyone was now seated around the table, including Lena, who had been forced to sit down by her master.
The quiet clinking of spoons against plates filled the room as they ate.
Suddenly, Ruth paused and glanced at her sister.
"Belinda, have you changed your mind yet? Because if you haven’t, I’ll call Uncle Roy today. I don’t care anymore—I can’t sit and watch you throw your life away on a grave mistake," Ruth said, shaking her head.
Belinda stopped eating, dropping her fork onto her plate. "There’s no need to call Uncle Roy, sister. I’ve already decided. I’ll annul my engagement with Thiago," she said with an expressionless face.
"Really!?" Ruth gasped, her eyes nearly bulging from her sockets.
"Yes, sister."
"H-How... When? What made you change your mind so suddenly?" Ruth asked again, clearly still in shock.
"I thought about it. Thiago isn’t the right man for me. I’ve found someone else I want to be with," Belinda replied, her face twisting with guilt for a few seconds before she composed herself again.
"Wow! That’s such good news! I’m honestly thrilled you’re finally willing to annul your marriage with him. Call him now—or should we write a letter to send him, stating we wish to annul the engagement? We can involve Uncle Roy if we need to," Ruth said, beaming, clearly not catching the last part of Belinda’s sentence.
Belinda shook her head. "I’m sorry, sister, but I don’t want to involve Uncle Roy. Thiago is dangerous—even more dangerous than Uncle Roy. I don’t want anyone getting hurt because of me. I’ve already told Dapper about it, and he came up with a brilliant plan," she explained.
"My husband?" Ruth muttered. "You told my husband before me?" she repeated, glancing between Belinda and Dapper.
"W-Well, you weren’t around and I needed someone to talk to. He gave me good advice—advice that helped me finally make up my mind," Belinda said defensively.
"Haa... I see."
’What the hell did my husband say to make Belinda listen? She has never taken anyone’s advice. And somehow, he even got her cooking and doing chores. She looks like a completely different person. They also seem... close. Ugh, I must be insane for thinking like this.’
"Well, this is the advice I gave Belinda..." Dapper began to explain.
—
[Flashback]
After having sex with Belinda and making her cum all over the tiles, Dapper left her room and returned to his own. Sitting down, he held his SIA in hand.
[Congratulations, you have completed the third task. You have been awarded the hidden reward.]
[Reward: Five Thousand LP Gift Card]
[Description: Life Points Gift Card can be redeemed in the system shop and used to purchase any items within. Its use is limited to the system shop and does not function the same way as regular Life Points.]
"Life Points Gift Card, huh... The system keeps surprising me," Dapper muttered. "Bay, just to confirm—I can buy anything worth five thousand Life Points from the system shop, right?"
[Yes, master.]
"Fufu... There’s something I’ve been eyeing. It’s for my revenge against Thiago. Two reasons—first, for slapping Belinda, and second, for even thinking he could marry her. He needs to be taught a lesson."
[I’m curious what you’ll do to him. You’re quite unpredictable, master.]
"Never let them know your next move. Open the system shop."
[Affirmative.]
The system shop resembled an online marketplace. Dapper could search for items there. Though the selection was somewhat limited, there were still arrays of things one could buy. However, many came with outrageous price tags—like one that cost five hundred thousand Life Points, an amount he knew he could never reach just by farming points through sex. But now, with the revelation of Life Points gift cards, Dapper realized his chances weren’t slim anymore.
Bright, vibrant colors flashed before Dapper’s eyes as the system shop interface opened. He could see all sorts of items—cool stuff he wished he could get his hands on—but most of them remained far too expensive.
"Very soon..."
The next moment, Dapper typed in exactly what he was looking for—something he had long been eyeing but couldn’t afford the last time. Now, with the gift card, it was within reach.
Abruptly, a result popped up on his system panel following the search.
[System Shop]
[Item: Sedative Potion]
[Description: A potion that renders a target unable to move for six hours, putting them in a vegetable-like state. Comes with an antidote potion. Might not work on individuals with powerful systems.]
[Cost: 4500 Life Points.] Purchase Next
Dapper stared at his system panel, a smile creeping across his face. He hit the purchase button, and a pop-up appeared, indicating that the item had been successfully bought and stored in his inventory.
"Well, well... Thiago, you messed with the wrong person..."
[He doesn’t even know you, master.]
"Shut up."
---
"Ah, I see... so that’s your plan?" Ruth asked, still processing how her husband had come up with such a wicked scheme.
"Knowing Thiago, there’s no way he’ll be able to act after that," Belinda added, smiling from ear to ear.
"Sigh... I’m still worried though. I honestly don’t know why you ever got involved with him in the first place," Ruth said, her face filled with concern.
"I’m sorry, sister. It happened back when I left home. He helped me avoid trouble once and has been blackmailing me ever since," Belinda revealed.
’Wait... he’s been blackmailing her too? I don’t know what happened in the past, but that bastard will pay dearly for it.’
After dinner, Lena cleared the table, and soon, everyone retreated to their rooms.
Dapper was lying on top of Ruth in a sexual position, his right hand gently cupping one of her breasts.
"Darling, I visited one of my friends today."
"What about her?"
"She gave birth. I—I know we agreed to wait, but when she asked what me and my husband were waiting for, it felt kind of awkward. She even teased me for not having a baby yet... though she claimed it was a joke," Ruth said with a troubled expression.
Dapper’s face tightened. "She doesn’t sound like a good friend. That didn’t sound like a joke either. She’s probably just jealous and trying to make herself feel superior. Don’t overthink it—I seriously don’t think she’s someone worth calling a friend."
"I thought the same too and immediately regretted going. Oh, by the way, my dad’s best friend agreed to help us! He was even upset I didn’t bring you along. Before I left, he told someone to get me a form and also gave us some gifts," Ruth added, pointing to the table.
