I have never been more terrified in my entire life. I’m an Alpha. I ran a pack for years. I fought alongside my warriors in a raid and led us to victories, but this. Lost in a dark forest with demonic shadows chasing thousands of wolves, with only glowing crystals protecting bus/bb. /b

That and our Luna Queen.

She is everything that we need in the world right now, and I would follow her without the Alpha Orders. What the hell was my father thinking, voting for anyone else?

She barks orders at us like a true general as she leads from the front to our campsite. “Keep the borders tight and

the crystal visible. No wolves are to go outside those bounds“b. /b

The stench of fear rolling off the one held captive is almost overwhelming. It is making the rapid hike through this forest very disorientating as it is hard to focus on where we are. Luna Queen, however, ismanding like this is any other day.

We all make it to the clearing, but we can see the shadows at the edge of the forest surrounding our campsite.

Luna Queenmands, “Everyone to the middle. Everyone with crystals stay on the outside“.

I’m one of the ones with crystals. I stay on the outside and try to gather all my courage as I hold up my quartz ne and start to pray. The shadows keeping towards us like wavespping a shoreline getting closer and

closer.

The quartz starts dimming as the moon drops below the horizon. The shadows start moving closer as if knowing they can consume us at any moment.

Luna Queen starts to glow again, but this only pushes the shadow back slightly, and we can tell her light is starting to dim bas /bwell. She is exhausted and can’t hold them off forever.

A faint glow starts bto /bappear from behind the eastern treeline, and the quartz starts to go outpletely.

That’s when I hear her scream. “ELI“.

Prince Eliunches into the air and is high above the earth in seconds. He lets out arge bird call and bursts into meb, /bcovering all of us in a protective warm orange glow. The other Phoenixesunch into the air and start to absorb the sunlightb, /badding to the protective barrier. This pushes the shadows back but doesn’t stop them.

BOOM. BOOM BOOM.

The earth starts to shake in a rhythmic sound. All our eyes go to the Western border, and we can see the Fae armying out of the forest, led by all three members of the Royal family.

They are all holding staffs and are banging the ground with the base in a steady rhythm.

They walk with no fear, and the Shadows start screaming and retreating back.

The night guardians have done their job. It’s time for the day guardians to defend bus/b.

The blinding sunlight cresting over the treelines illuminates everything on the open ins of the camp, and the shadowspletely disappear.

I copse to my knees and start to shake as the adrenaline starts to leave my body. I’m only on the ground a second when I hear the panic in Liam’s voice.

“Lewana. Come on, Lewana, wake up. We need you“.

bI /bsee her unconscious in her arms, and the Fae Queen Azalea running over. She runs a steady hand over our Luna Queen and smiles. “She is alright, Beta. Just exhausted. She needs to rest. Assuming she gave you all her n and byou /bknow what to do next“.

Some soldiers step forward. “Yes, she did. Beta, you watch over Luna Queen, and we will move on with the n“.
