Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven
Chapter 18: Two Years
CHAPTER 18: CHAPTER 18: TWO YEARS
It didn’t take long for them to learn and surprisingly they could handle tools well. Instead of grabbing it like how a human would it was like they stuck to their paws instead.
He spent a few more days in leisure with the rabbit and during this time he noticed they would occasionally venture into the forest and come back with either fruits or vegetables.
So by the third day he decided to follow them and he found a region in the forest with wild cabbages, carrots and a lot of other vegetables.
However he noticed they were starting to run low, these veggies grew on their own and everytime they pick one it becomes one less and eventually they will run out for good.
An interesting idea appeared in his mind, what if he taught them farming? Wouldn’t that be fun? He got excited just thinking about it.
The few days he spent with the rabbits were a lot of fun and relaxing, he wouldn’t mind spending a few more just to relax and let loose.
With a lifespan of a thousand years spending a few days not fighting should not be a problem. Even dragons need a break sometimes. He spent the following week teaching them how to farm.
It was hard at first, although they could replicate his actions easily it seems they didn’t understand the point. From their point of view he was probably wasting food.
Even with their intelligence it seems they don’t know how plants grow, they probably think they just sprung from the ground like magic.
But it made sense, they might’ve gained human like intelligence but nobody had ever taught them how the world works, they were like toddlers. 2 weeks later they had planted an area equivalent to 5 soccer fields.
It was a vexing endeavour, he had caught some of them trying to dig out the planted seeds multiple times. All in all he enjoyed these past two weeks but now it was time to go back.
The first thing he did was go fish hunting, he was tired of eating fruits. Then he resumed his bug hunt. Time passed. ’ Status’
Name: Ved Zhakrii
Species: Lesser Swamp Dragon (3 years/ 1000 years)( 1.6m/ 5m) mid sky grade
Rank: 2
Abilities(2/2): Traits assimilation, Haki
Traits(5/6): poison secretion, herculean strength (460x), Aquatic, flash (340x), Iron scales( 30 000x)
Evolution points: (8,02/20)
Over 2 years and all he managed to get were just 8 evolution points but it couldn’t be helped. The only way to gather points faster is to venture into the territory of other rank 2 and that just seemed unnecessarily risky.
However the good thing was that in the past 2 years he was able obtain traits he wanted, 2 of them. One was from a tiny thing called a mite, that could move 300x it body size.
That trait evolved to 340x on him and the second like herculean strength depended on his weight. Iron scales, while the original allowed the beetle to withstand a force over 39 000x it body weight it dropped to just 30 000x on him, which was a bit disappointing.
But he already weighs around 140kg,30 000x that was a lot. With these two traits he felt a bit more confident in keeping himself alive.
Not to mention they aren’t even his top speed or durability but instead add to his natural speed and durability. He could already move close to 200 m/s without the flash trait.
And since it depends on his length, him being 1.6 metres long meant he could move 544 m/s using the trait alone, even more when added to his natural speed.
However he had tested it before and moving at his fastest was too draining, he wouldn’t last even five minutes before running out of stamina.
When he was done checking his status screen he stoop up, his entire body was visible to him, his scales had changed, they were still black but had a metallic sheen to them.
They assumed a hexagonal shape and the gaps between then became smaller. This did have the side effect of making it harder to secrete venom between them but it did not matter since he can still do it.
He left his hole to check on the rabbits, sometime a few months ago White was able to rank up, she was now the first rank 2 rabbit.
When he arrived he found her practicing with the others, this was another thing he taught them on a whim, he did not expect them to take it so seriously or for it to have such results.
Due to their everyday spar they had improved by leaps and bounds, their fighting style was no longer as crude as before, it had a hint of martial arts to it.
Also, the white lily flower had grown again but with fewer petals, after 3 more rabbits randomly awakened they were fed the petals and gained spirituality, which he learnt is what gave beasts intelligence.
Now all 16 awakened rabbits were floating and struggling infront of White who was munching on a carrot without a worry in the world.
This was one of her abilities, on top of awakening the lightning element she gained telekinesis as well. It wasn’t just any telekinesis, it was really powerful.
He had seen her crush a boulder the size of a large car into a fist size smooth ball and throw it like a cannon. The power behind it was powerful enough to crush a rank 1 iron scale fish into a pulp, underwater.
Plus her kicks were nolonger as soft, not with literal lightning behind them. Each of her attacks were not only burning but had a numbing effect as well and they hurt like hell.
He would know, he had experienced it first hand. The first thing he did was to check on the farm, it had grown larger, much larger than before but so did the rabbit population.
As soon as White saw him she ran towards him excitedly then started boxing the air. He knew what this meant, she was issuing a challenge, he grinned which was terrifying for a dragon.
’ Come then, let see how much you’ve grown’
