CHAPTER 30: CHAPTER 30: BLOODMOON

When the clouds parted, a ray of red light shined on the giant ant queen. It body started twitching ’ It not dead?’ he had a bad feeling about this.

The system never issues a warning without reason, the bloodmoon must be very dangerous. As he thought, the moment the deer saw the red light it grunted a warning to the others.

It four subordinates did not waste time and immediately turned around and ran, the anteater family followed running as fast as they could.

The deer backed off as well while watching the ant queen vigilantly. He wasn’t one to ignore red flags, he was the closest to the mountain range and as soon as the ant queen twitched he ran.

He saw everything behind him even while running away. The ant queen stood up and screeched loudly, it body radiated a red light and it eyes turned completely red.

It body grew in size and even it aura became stronger than before. The deer sent hundreds of roots to bind the ant then turned around and ran as well.

Then the clouds dispersed and like a blanket of blood, red moon light washed over the entire place. Roars of beasts echoed across the mountains.

Before long he was running In a forest deep in the mountain range then a small rank one snake lunged at him, it eyes were completely red with red light glowing from it.

He slashed his tail without even looking expecting to cut the snake in half. It body was sent flying dozens of metres away almost dissected in two, it died immediately.

But the fact that it was not completely cut into two troubled him deeply. But he did not have the luxury to contemplate it at the moment. He continued running as fast as he could without even thinking about the stamina expenditure.

If he didn’t find a safe place soon he would be f***ed big time. He could no longer see the others, he took a different route from them not that it mattered.

He was not with them in the first place. He continued running deeper into the mountain range, he did not even know where he was running to he just continued running.

Why was running so much, well that because behind him was a giant dust cloud running towards him, from within the cloud he could hundreds if not thousands of red eyes.

Most of which belonged rank 1 with a few rank 2 running infront of the others, fortunately there were no rank 3. His poison had yet to regenerate or he would’ve blasted a cloud of deadly poison at them.

The only upside was his web, since he was in a forest he was able to effectively use it. Every now and then he would create walls of webs between trees.

His webs were very strong, even with the enhancement of the red moon it took efforts and attacks from multiple rank 2 beasts to break it.

The most troublesome was the buffalo and mantis running infront of others. The two of them were strong enough to easily break his webs.

The mantis was able to cut through them like paper while the buffalo just charged through. After creating another web wall he was just about to speed up again when something rammed into him.

He rolled on the ground and when he stood up he saw a red eyed rat the size of a cat, although the rat was small for an awakened beast it was still a rank 2.

Behind it were thousand upon thousand of rats each one a rank 1 awakened. Before he could stand up the rats lunged at him. He effortlessly crushed them into pulps but they showed no fear and lunged at him in waves.

No matter how many he killed they kept coming, although they were not able to harm him they managed to delay him enough for the others to arrive.

The buffalo tried to gouge him with it horns and sent him flying through the air instead, it horns could not break his scales but it did kill the rats on top of him.

He rolled on the ground and when he stoop up he was met by a giant mantis blade, he blocked with his tail and sent the mantis flying back.

The rats came at him like a giant wave even climbing on top of each other, they tried to bite him and some climbed on his body,no matter how hard he tried to shake them off he could not.

No matter how many he killed they kept coming and they were not the only one, giant dogs, cats and other creatures bit and scratched him.

Fortunately his scales were too hard for them to break so they could not harm him. The only troublesome ones were rank 2, with the red moon enhancement, killing them was hard and their attacks were stronger.

Every second he was killing dozens of beasts but he was not fighting to kill, he just wanted to open space to run. His speed was faster than theirs.

But with the rats on top of him running away was hard. He was starting to miss his poison dearly, he tried to use the web to get them off and it worked for a while.

However the web could not hold them back for long and even moving faster than sound could not shake them off. The rats might be weaker than the buffalo and mantis but they were certainly more troublesome.

He blocked the mantis attack then backhanded it and sent it flying through trees, it stoop and lunged at him again. He was forced to fight it and others at the same time which increased the pressure on him.

The only upside was that they had zero teamwork, at some point the mantis had even slashed the buffalo while trying to attack him.

Another troublesome beast was a rank 2 wolf, it has the power of ice and had slowed down his movements significantly with it ice abilities.

He continued running and from afar he saw a cave with a blue barrier, he didn’t know what was inside there and he did not care, right now he just needed to get away.

The cave drew closer and closer, just as he was about to reach it, something huge landed infront of it with a bang and picked up a dust cloud.
