Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties
Chapter 129 Hidden Flare Group
Inside a storage room within the Golden Complex, Red Flare paced back and forth. Blue Fare sat on a stack of crates while crossing her arms.
Yellow Flare, on the other hand, leaned against the wall near the door. The three of them were now frowning because of the current condition.
Red Flare looked at them. "This is bad. The Platinum District''s security is far tighter than we anticipated. We should''ve been inside by now."
Blue Flare glanced at him and frowned. She was irritated. "We underestimated them. I didn''t think that the academy would put a stronger barrier inside the Platinum District."
Yellow Flare folded his arms and let out a low grunt. "The Platinum Students were so precious as they were harder to get. That''s why the barrier was stronger."
Red Flare frowned. "Because of it, we cannot even enter. Now we''re stuck here in the Golden Complex. We need a plan."
Blue Flare raised an eyebrow. Her fingers drummed against her arm. "Do you have one, or are you just stating the obvious?"
Red Flare shot her a glare. "I''m thinking. It was harder than you think. Did you have a plan?"
Blue Flare frowned and Yellow Flare could not hold it anymore and stepped forward. "We can''t stay here much longer. Sooner or later, someone''s going to notice us."
Blue Flare leaned back slightly and turned his attention to the window. "There''s one way."
Red Flare was curious what plan Blue Flare had. He turned toward her. "Let''s hear it."
Blue Flare nodded toward the complex outside. "We use someone who has access to the Platinum District. A student, preferably."
Yellow Flare frowned and shook his head. "You want us to drag a Platinum student into this? That''s risky. If they report us, it''s over."@@@@
Blue Flare smirked faintly. "Not if we pick the right one. A student who''s... ambitious. Someone who can be bought or manipulated. They won''t report us if they think we''re offering them something in return."
Dreston stepped closer and smirked. "Let me educate you, then. I''ve just become a 4-Star Tamer. I''m here to join the Platinum Class."
He paused for a moment. He was waiting for Magnus''s reaction. However, Magnus didn''t react at all. "Oh? That''s nice."
Dreston was surprised. It shouldn''t be like this. Dreston looked at Magnus with confusion. "That''s it? You''re not surprised?"
Magnus stepped closer and smirked. "Not really. You see, I''ve also just become a 4-Star Tamer. In fact, I''m here for the same reason—to join the Platinum Class."
Dreston was surprised after hearing that. "What? You? How is that even possible? You''re younger than me! How can you become 4-Star Tamer so fast?"
Magnus laughed loudly. He was amused by Dreston''s shocked face. "Maybe it''s because I''m a genius, or maybe you''re just slow."
Dreston''s face darkened. His jaw tightened as he glared at Magnus. "You think you''re better than me just because of this? Let me remind you, Platinum Class isn''t just about rank—it''s about proving yourself."
Magnus tilted his head and crossed his arms. He smirked. "And I''ll prove it, just like I did when I beat you the first time. Face it, Dreston. You''re always going to be a step behind me."
Dreston frustatedly clenched his fist. Before he could retort, the receptionist at the counter cleared her throat to break the tension.
The receptionist glanced at both of them from her desk. "So, both of you are here for the Platinum Class evaluation? Tamer Division, correct?" Find your next read at My Virtual Library Empire
Both Magnus and Dreston nodded in unison, though their postures couldn''t have been more different.
Magnus stood tall and looked confident while crossing his arms, while Dreston kept his arms at his sides and tightly clenched his jaws to suppress his irritation.
The receptionist looked at both of them and nodded. "Good. Fortunately, both of you are from the Tamer Division, which simplifies the process. Follow me, and I''ll take you to the evaluation area."
Magnus and Dreston exchanged a brief glare before following behind her. Despite the receptionist''s composed demeanor, the tension between the two could clearly be seen.
