CHAPTER 55: CHAPTER : 55 : LUNA’S JEALOUS ENTRANCE!
The soft rustle of sheets, the faint sound of lips brushing and parting — the room was thick with the warmth of intimacy. Lysandra’s breath trembled against Aiden’s chest as his hands gently caressed her sides, his lips trailing heated kisses along the curve of her neck.
"Ah... Aiden..." she whispered, her face crimson, every sound slipping from her lips sounding more like a plea than a word.
He chuckled low, that smugness only he could carry, and kissed her collarbone. "You’re so beautiful when you try to hide your voice."
Her hands clutched the sheets, trembling, torn between pushing him away and pulling him closer. She chose neither, burying her face into the crook of his neck as his lips explored her skin, leaving her body trembling with warmth.
The bed creaked lightly under their closeness, and for a while, the world outside didn’t exist.
Until—
Click!
The door unlocked.
Creak.
"~Maaaster?" A soft voice sang out, sweet and teasing, yet carrying that usual possessive cling. "I brought Leona back... she fell asleep against me, isn’t she adorable—?"
The words stopped dead.
Because Luna was now standing in the doorway, her black hair glowing faintly under the lantern light, Leona bundled in her arms, sleeping peacefully with her small cheek pressed against Luna’s chest.
Her wide, glowing eyes blinked once. Twice. Then froze.
On the bed: Aiden, shirt loose and halfway undone. His arm curled around Lysandra. Lysandra seeing her, immidiately buried herself under the blanket, crimson ears sticking out like guilty flags. The faint sheen on both their faces and the mess of sheets around them spoke louder than any excuse could.
Silence.
Luna’s lip trembled.
"...M-master..." Her voice cracked, her eyes watering instantly like a child about to cry.
Aiden tilted his head, expression absolutely unbothered. In fact, his smile widened into a smug, almost welcoming grin. "Ah, Luna. You’re back. Did Leona learn how to fly yet?"
"Don’t ’Did she learn how to fly yet’ me!!" Luna wailed, her voice breaking into a half-sob, half-whine that echoed through the room. She stomped her foot, her free arm waving in exaggerated despair as if the world had just ended. "M-Master... how... how could you... with her... without meeee!?"
Leona stirred slightly against her chest at the noise, making Luna instantly lower her voice, but her face crumpled even more, fat tears glimmering in her eyes. "You already had me! Twice! TWICE! And now you’re... you’re..."
Her words broke down into hiccupped little cries as she shuffled forward, still clutching Leona protectively, yet stomping like a sulking child.
"Ah... it’s too much..." she sniffled. "I-I thought Master loved me the most...! How could you cheat on your wife with another wife!"
Her exaggerated phrasing nearly made Aiden laugh outright. He rubbed his temple, though the smirk never left his lips. "Cheat? Luna, she’s also my wife, remember? I agreed to both of you."
"That’s different!!" Luna whined, hugging Leona tighter like a shield. "I’m the first wife! The number one! The true wife! I’m not some... some shared toy!!" Her blue eyes were swimming with tears, lower lip jutting out in a trembling pout.
From under the blanket, Lysandra made a muffled squeak, pulling the covers tighter over her body until only a sliver of her golden hair peeked out. Her ears burned bright red, and she practically curled into a ball beside Aiden, hiding as though she could sink into the bed itself.
Aiden casually slid his hand across the blanket, patting Lysandra’s covered back reassuringly, as if to say, don’t worry, I’ve got this.
He looked back at Luna with a maddeningly calm expression. "You’re acting like a child, Luna."
"I am not!!" she cried, tears streaming freely down her cheeks now as she waddled closer to the bed, still trying not to wake Leona. Her movements were clumsy, like an angry little girl dragging herself into a fight while holding onto her stuffed toy. "I’m your wife! Your number one! You can’t just... just make out with someone else while I’m not hereee!!"
Aiden leaned back against the pillows, utterly relaxed, one arm still lazily holding Lysandra under the blanket. His eyes narrowed smugly. "Well, if you wanted to join, you should’ve come sooner. I wouldn’t have minded."
"Wha—!!" Luna’s face went scarlet, her tears momentarily drying up as her jaw dropped. "M-Master...!! Don’t say things like that while Leona’s sleeping in my arms!!"
"Then put her down," he countered smoothly, the smirk never fading.
Her eyes widened, and she clutched Leona tighter, shaking her head furiously like a child refusing to share candy. "N-no!! She’s mine! She fell asleep against me, see? See how cute she looks!?" She angled Leona toward Aiden like proof of her righteousness, her pout still trembling.
From the blanket, Lysandra whimpered softly. "...so embarrassing..." Her voice was muffled, barely audible, but Aiden heard it and grinned even wider.
"See, Ly agrees," Aiden teased, deliberately poking the mound of blanket where Lysandra hid. The princess squeaked again, shoving her head deeper beneath the covers.
"Stop bullying her!!" Luna shouted, stomping again, more tears streaming down her face. "You already bullied me before... twice... and now you’re bullying her too!!" Her lip wobbled dramatically, and her voice cracked again. "Master... you’re so mean...!"
And then, without warning, she shuffled right up to the bed, nearly tripping over her own feet, and climbed on — still clutching Leona in her arms. She collapsed against Aiden’s other side, squishing herself against him with all the clinginess of a needy kitten.
Her tears smeared against his shirt as she nuzzled his chest, sniffling loudly. "I’m not letting you go... ever...!"
Aiden sighed, amused, and wrapped an arm around her shoulders while still holding onto Lysandra with the other. "You’re impossible."
"Good!!" she sniffled proudly, rubbing her wet cheeks against him like a child marking her territory. "I’m your wife! Your true wife! Mine, mine, mine!!"
From the other side, Lysandra peeked her head slightly out of the blanket, her cheeks flaming red as she looked at the scene. "S-she’s like a child..." she muttered.
Aiden smirked, catching that. "That’s right. My childish little wife."
"Don’t call me childish!!" Luna cried, her tears returning instantly as she pounded his chest lightly with her small fist — though still careful not to disturb Leona’s sleep. "I’m a grown woman! I already gave you my everything! Twice! TWICE!!"
The sheer emphasis made Lysandra’s entire face go nuclear red, and she ducked back under the blanket with a squeal.
Aiden couldn’t stop himself this time — he burst out laughing, his shoulders shaking. "Hah! Luna, you’re unbelievable."
Luna sniffled, glaring up at him through teary, sparkling eyes. "Y-you’re laughing at meee!"
"Because you’re adorable," he replied smoothly, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
Her tears hiccupped to a stop, and her cheeks puffed up in a mixture of anger and flustered joy. "...Y-you can’t just kiss me and think I’ll forgive you..."
"Did it work?" he teased.
"...Maybe." She buried her face deeper against his chest, still clinging tightly like a possessive child refusing to let go of her favorite toy.
Beside him, Lysandra was still hiding in the blanket, only the tiniest peek of her eyes showing as she watched them with embarrassment. Aiden leaned over slightly, brushing the blanket down just enough to reveal her flushed face.
"Don’t think you can escape either, Ly," he murmured with that same smug grin. "You’re already mine too."
Her eyes widened, and she squeaked, ducking back under the blanket instantly. "S-stop saying such things so casually!"
Luna immediately lifted her head, eyes narrowing with comical jealousy. "Maaaster! Don’t flirt with her while I’m right here!!"
Aiden raised a brow, utterly unbothered. "So, it’s fine when I flirt with you, but not her?"
"Yes!!" she shouted, tears building up again. "Because I’m the first wife!!"
He chuckled deeply, pulling both women closer against him, Luna clinging desperately with Leona in her arms, Lysandra squeaking and resisting under the blanket.
It was chaos, it was comedy, it was love.
And Aiden wouldn’t have had it any other way.
