Beast Taming: Slaughter Atlas
Chapter 49: I’ll Take You Home
CHAPTER 49: CHAPTER 49: I’LL TAKE YOU HOME
The Thundercloud Leopard let out a low growl and charged at the Red Flame Wolf once again.
This time, it didn’t evade the Red Flame Wolf’s attacks but instead used the same tactics.
The Red Flame Wolf was already fighting to the death, so it was naturally willing to accompany in this battle.
"Boom boom boom"
The battle between the two beasts was extremely intense and bloody, each strike accompanied by the other’s flesh and blood.
However, the Thundercloud Leopard gradually noticed a problem; initially, it could still suppress the Red Flame Wolf, but as time passed, the Red Flame Wolf’s realm broke through again, now reaching the Third Rank Commander Level, and its fur changed from dull to withered yellow.
This discovery instantly brought the Thundercloud Leopard back to its senses, realizing that the opponent’s growth speed was terrifyingly fast. If it continued to entangle with the opponent, it might never leave here.
At this moment, the Thundercloud Leopard had thoughts of retreat, swinging its sharp claws to push the Red Flame Wolf back, then slowly retreating.
Father Chu, seeing this, had a flicker of coldness in his eyes and said coldly, "Want to run now, too late." With that, he commanded the Red Flame Wolf to charge again.
The Thundercloud Leopard had driven them into a corner, and the Red Flame Wolf had no choice but to use its Blood Burning Talent. Now, wanting to escape after losing the fight was unreasonable.
Looking at the Red Flame Wolf approaching continuously, a rare fear appeared in the eyes of the Thundercloud Leopard.
Soon, the two beasts clashed again, with constant resounding booms.
"Roar"
The Thundercloud Leopard exploded with all its might, pushing the Red Flame Wolf back once more, quickly retreating to catch a breath.
By now, the Thundercloud Leopard’s fur was dyed blood-red, with dozens of varying wounds on its body, the deepest of which faintly showed its white bones.
The Red Flame Wolf’s injuries were more severe than the Thundercloud Leopard’s, but they seemed to have no effect, as if it had lost all sense of pain.
Suddenly, the Red Flame Wolf let out a wolf howl, its aura once again surging from the Third Rank Commander Level to the Fourth Rank, with its fur turning from withered yellow to ash white.
Father Chu felt a wave of heartache; he knew that the Red Flame Wolf’s life was nearing its end.
The Thundercloud Leopard watched the transformation of the Red Flame Wolf, eyes filled with fear, letting out a whimper and fleeing for its life.
Seeing this, the Red Flame Wolf’s eyes gleamed with cold killing intent, its limbs powering up like an arrow off the string, shooting straight at the Thundercloud Leopard.
At this moment, the Red Flame Wolf felt filled with power, without any pain or fatigue.
In a few leaps, it caught up with the Thundercloud Leopard.
It raised its paw and flipped the Thundercloud Leopard to the ground. Before it could rise, the giant wolf’s maw bit directly into the Thundercloud Leopard’s throat.
The intense pain caused the Thundercloud Leopard to let out a painful howl.
But the howl lasted only a moment before abruptly stopping, followed by the crisp sound of bones breaking.
The Thundercloud Leopard’s life force was extremely strong. Struggling desperately, it tore off its own throat.
Seeing this, the Red Flame Wolf was about to finish it off completely.
At this moment, unforeseen changes occurred; the Red Flame Wolf felt as if all the power in its body was drained, its legs giving way as it collapsed to the ground, and its Fourth Rank Commander Level aura began to recede at an alarming speed.
Seeing this, Father Chu’s face turned pale; he understood that the Red Flame Wolf’s life had reached its end.
He hurriedly came to the Red Flame Wolf’s side in a few steps.
"Don’t be afraid, I will always be with you," Father Chu sat by the Red Flame Wolf, rubbing its head and softly speaking.
The Red Flame Wolf felt its master’s concern, its fear of death diminishing slightly.
It looked at Father Chu, its eyes filled with a deep sense of reluctance, warm tears sliding down from its eyes, feeling so tired, wanting to sleep.
Father Chu felt a sharp pain in his soul, his already pale face turned pallid. Burying his head in the Red Flame Wolf’s fur, he let out a painful moan, uncontrollably trembling.
At this moment, a blood-soaked figure appeared behind Father Chu, opening its giant mouth to swallow Father Chu whole.
This figure was the dying Thundercloud Leopard, fueled by an endless fury seeking revenge.
Lost in extreme sorrow, Father Chu did not notice the impending danger behind him.
Just then, at the critical moment, a bolt of lightning struck the Thundercloud Leopard’s head directly.
Already on the verge of death, the Thundercloud Leopard couldn’t hold on and fell completely.
Only then did Father Chu react, looking at the dead Thundercloud Leopard with lingering fear.
He looked towards the direction of the lightning and found a giant blue eagle hovering in the air, with an energetic elderly man standing on its back.
"Thank you, Principal Chen, for your timely help," Father Chu bowed in gratitude.
The old man sighed and said, "It’s me who should be thanking you, thank you for the contributions you’ve made for these students."
"It’s what we ought to do."
"I still have to rescue others; I’ve cleared out the Star Beasts along the way, so you should leave quickly too." With that, he rode the giant eagle away.
After the old man left, a look of sorrow returned to Father Chu’s face.
He summoned his second Guardian Beast, the Electric Pattern Dog, of the Peak of Servant Level, quality Ordinary Level Upper Grade.
The Electric Pattern Dog, seeing the unmoving Red Flame Wolf, let out a fear-filled bark.
As if trying to awaken the Red Flame Wolf with its cries.
Seeing this, the sorrow in Father Chu’s eyes deepened, he walked slowly to the Red Flame Wolf’s side, placing its still warm body on the Electric Pattern Dog’s back.
He rubbed the Red Flame Wolf’s head, forcing a smile, "Let’s go, I’ll take you home."
At this time, Chu Chen and his group were still fleeing for their lives. After running for more than ten minutes, they were only a few hundred meters away from the Ant Nest.
At the speed of the Earth Spider, it would only take a little over ten seconds to reach.
The Shadow Wolves hadn’t given up chasing Chu Chen and his companions; their endurance was astonishing. After more than ten minutes of pursuit, their speed hadn’t slowed at all. If not for their lack of explosive power, Chu Chen and his companions might have already been their prey.
The distance between both parties had shrunk from a hundred meters to over ten meters.
Luckily, their destination was in sight, otherwise they would be dead for sure.
"There are over a dozen Soldier Ants patrolling. What should we do?" Zhang Yingjie asked in a low voice.
Hearing this, Chu Chen thought for a moment and then said in a deep voice, "Don’t get tangled up with them, just charge in."
The wolf pack would catch up in just a few breaths at the distance of over ten meters, charging in was their only chance for survival.
Zhang Yingjie nodded, "That’s the only way."
"Has everyone learned the soul skill ’Barrier’?" Chu Chen asked.
The six nodded in response; this soul skill was not high-level, very practical, and almost every Beast Master learned it.
"When we charge in, we use ’Barrier’ to help the Guardian Beast withstand the damage."
"Understood."
Moments later, Chu Chen and his group finally reached the Gray Rock Ant’s Nest.
The Soldier Ants on patrol also noticed them.
Without any hesitation, they charged directly.
Seeing this, Chu Chen said in a deep voice, "Charge."
The Earth Spider did not slow down at all; instead, it slightly increased its speed.
Chu Chen and the seven of them used ’Barrier’, placing it in front of the Earth Spider.
At this point, the Earth Spider seemed like a heavy armored vehicle, while the Soldier Ants seemed like toy cars.
With just one collision, the Soldier Ants were knocked out of the way.
The seven people and two beasts charged straight into the Ant Nest.
