Becoming a God Starts with Acting
Chapter 216: [Lilith Wants to Sleep] - Silvanus’s Part (2)
CHAPTER 216: [LILITH WANTS TO SLEEP] - SILVANUS’S PART (2)
Just a moment ago, Silvanus was still in the galactic space, tallying the results of this latest accomplishment.
It hadn’t been in vain—he had thrown himself into the role with incredible depth, and his ruthless performance had earned him a surge of acting points like never before, surpassing what he achieved when playing Nerio in the [Fish] dungeon.
At the same time, he could feel his divine power growing stronger. He didn’t need the system’s assistance to wield his abilities.
Although his memories were still vague, he had begun to accept the possibility that he might genuinely be a newborn god—just one who had, for reasons unknown, drifted elsewhere and lost his memories.
He had asked the system whether this world was his original birthplace, but the system remained utterly silent. If it responded, it was only with a cold, "I don’t know, I don’t know." It didn’t even bother pretending anymore.
The most significant breakthrough that truly delighted Silvanus was the Director’s Space, or more accurately, another plane of existence: God’s Domain.
This was where Silvanus held absolute control—his territory, where he was unshakably invincible. If so, he could one day open this space to his most devout believers.
That day, however, was still far off. Even though it had developed beyond its original form, his God’s Domain was currently only fifty square meters wide—not exactly majestic, but enough for him to stage a few scenes. That was good enough for now.
And just as the original description of Director’s Space said, as a "director," he could invite "actors" to play out his scripts. Still, Silvanus wasn’t in any rush to use this function.
For one, he could only invite five actors at the moment. And more importantly, he wanted to reserve that feature for a different identity, if possible.
"Silvanus, Priest Silvanus!"
"Do you need a kiss to get back on your feet?"
The voices of the others pulled Silvanus out of his thoughts.
He lowered his gaze, face expressionless, and slowly sat up. Tiny white-blue flowers swayed despite the absence of wind, brushing against his hand, as if reluctant to part from him.
Lowering his eyes, Silvanus tapped a finger gently against the ground and murmured instinctively, "It’s alright."
He had only said it out of habit—but the next moment, the flowers turned into shimmering stars, twinkling as they drifted around him, then slowly faded away.
Silvanus looked slightly startled. Alice, standing nearby, couldn’t help but exclaim, "Wow, that’s beautiful."
"Bella would love this kind of scene," Cocona sighed.
Silas stared at Silvanus. Leonard was no exception. Drake clicked his tongue, seemingly irritated by Silvanus yet again.
By now, the ground had turned a dull gray, no different from the rest of the area.
As soon as Silvanus stood up, a pop-up from the system appeared in front of all of them, accompanied by an icy announcement:
[Congratulations, humans. You’ve received an invitation from The Dark Night Princess. The dungeon "Lilith Wants to Sleep" is now officially open. Good luck!]
[Lilith has been sleepless for a long time. No matter what she tries, she cannot enter slumber. You, dear distant friends whom she has taken a liking to, have come here to help Lilith fall asleep. Complete this noble task, and Lilith will reward you handsomely!]
A "handsome reward" from a monster... Just the thought of it didn’t feel remotely comforting.
Even the mission sounded like a trap—but they had no choice. They had to complete it.
As the dungeon system’s voice faded, so did the fog that had enveloped them.
A blinding light pierced their eyes, forcing them to shield their faces. It took a while before they could adjust to the sudden brightness.
Silvanus narrowed his eyes, staring into the brilliant world unfolding before him.
They were standing on a small hill, behind them a transparent barrier through which distant trees could be seen, but not crossed—not even a step.
In front of them stretched a field of golden sunflowers in full bloom, spreading as far as the eye could see, as though covering the entire dungeon.
The towering sunflowers reflected sunlight, their brilliance even more dazzling beneath the cloudless, crystal-blue sky. They danced gently in the breeze.
A path stretched out before them, and following it with their eyes, they could see a pink-and-black house nestled in the valley at the heart of the sunflower field.
Its sweet colors and delicately cute decorations made it look like it was made of chocolate and cake.
At that moment, two figures came running up, gradually appearing before them.
Each stood about 1.2 meters tall, fluffy and round, like two children in plush animal costumes—soft and adorable at first glance.
The whole scene was so bright and surreal, it felt more like a whimsical fairy garden than a deadly dungeon.
That’s what Silvanus thought, his eyes fixed on the two approaching figures.
Once they got closer, he could see clearly that one was a cat, the other a rabbit.
Their fur didn’t look like synthetic material—it looked real.
They seemed more like giant animals that walked on two legs and could talk.
"Boo hoo hoo, are you Lilith’s new friends?"
The rabbit, with its ears drooping backward, asked while crying.
"Hurry and come with us, mew!"
The rabbit spoke while constantly wiping its tears. Its lips drooped, and its already-red eyes grew redder still.
The cat was no different—its lower lip was pouting, but it didn’t even bother wiping away the tears streaming down its face.
"You guys don’t seem happy to see us," Silvanus asked.
The two creatures seemed a little surprised. Then the rabbit frantically shook its head.
"No, we’re delighted, so happy... boo hoo hoo."
"Don’t mind us, we’re crying from joy, mew! Come with us, mew!"
The cat spoke loudly and then took the rabbit’s hand, pulling it down the hill.
Their tears scattered with every step, even reaching the ground.
One droplet even flew near Silvanus. He lifted his hand and gently caught it.
"Hey, would you not touch everything you see? You’ll get yourself killed!"
Just then, Drake suddenly barked, frowning at Silvanus.
Silvanus thought it was like the man had just swallowed a ton of explosives, smiling silently.
Drake: "..."
For some reason, this guy was seriously annoying!
"Priest Silvanus, this is your first time entering a dungeon. Don’t worry, we’ll protect you!"
Alice spoke as she walked, her sincere gaze resting on Silvanus.
She was as gentle as always, Silvanus noted inwardly.
"Just don’t drag us down," Drake scoffed.
The others said nothing.
Even though Silvanus was a priest, none of them worshiped him like the average person.
"Priest Silvanus... can you connect with the gods?"
At that moment, Leonard, who had been quiet all along, asked hesitantly—as though such a question had taken all his courage.
Understandable. Usually, he wouldn’t say a word.
Hearing that, Drake raised his voice too:
"Yeah, call the Prophet out already! It’s been forever since he last appeared!"
Leonard secretly thought, Isn’t Nerio the one who hasn’t shown up in ages, not the Prophet...?
Facing the two devout believers of two different gods, Silvanus forced an awkward smile—and didn’t even bother turning around to look at them.
What else could he do? He couldn’t summon any god for them.
Because he was already here.
These people didn’t know how good they had it—they had three gods with them right now!
Silvanus found the thought oddly amusing.
[So Silvanus is a priest from Drake’s world?!]
[Wait, that can’t be right. Something’s off—how could Silvanus have server-jumped? I’ve criticized this broadcast, but they’ve never mixed servers like this. Highly suspicious...]
[Come on, it’s just a broadcast, maybe they all share the same Silvanus?]
[Watching this long enough makes it feel like this isn’t just a broadcast anymore...]
[But there is a storyline, right? If Silvanus is like this, I doubt he’s just a normal priest...]
Please. Could the viewers stop theorizing already?!
If they figured out too much, how was he supposed to farm acting points anymore?!
They were his most significant source of acting points, after all!
Silvanus sighed inwardly again and again.
