CHAPTER 303: LOVE HELL - DORIAN’S PART (8)

[This room is really too obvious.]

[Does it think it’s a carnivorous flower? Ha ha ha.]

[Is it really okay to joke like this? My beloved husband is about to be in danger!]

[There are four men here—who is your husband?]

[All of them. Adults don’t get to choose.]

[Go in there and die with Finn! Ha ha ha.]

[A bunch of evil people!]

Hermes’ group stared at the room as if it were radiating light before their eyes. Finally, Hermes led the way forward and said in a deep voice, "Nyx and Fiona are in charge of keeping Mrs. Andersen occupied. I hope we can act as quickly as possible."

Liam spoke softly, "On the condition that there’s nothing too dangerous in there..."

But that seemed unlikely. Inside a dangerous dungeon, even a speck of dust could become lethal if needed.

The door wasn’t locked tightly; Hermes could easily push it open.

The blinding light made them squint uncontrollably, and the system’s icy voice rang in their ears immediately after.

[Congratulations, humanity, you have unlocked a dungeon within a dungeon. Welcome to the crime scene. Detectives, carry out your duties and uncover the truth!]

Crime scene?

Hermes frowned, and then felt a cold wind sweep across his body. It turned out the window in front of them wasn’t closed. The room was pitch black, and the moonlight outside couldn’t illuminate even a bit.

"Austin? Liam? Finn? Alice?" Hermes called softly, but no sound answered him.

At this moment, Austin’s group also realized they had been brought to a completely different space.

They were in a corridor...

Just then, a sound like something being dragged heavily across the floor echoed. They exchanged glances and quickly hid to the side, cautiously peeking out.

They saw Mr. Andersen approaching. He was moving backward, bending his body to drag something along.

At this moment, he even looked frailer and thinner than before, his frame so fragile it seemed he could collapse at any moment. The task was clearly too much for him, yet he neither slowed down nor showed any intention of giving up.

A dazzling, unmistakable light shone in his cloudy eyes—a glimmer of hope for a fantastic future he had always dreamed of.

[Mr. Andersen may not even have the form of a monster, but he is truly a monster in reality.]

[The above statement is absolutely correct...]

For some reason, Finn suddenly convulsed and leaped outside. They had even steeled themselves for being discovered.

But Mr. Andersen passed right through Finn’s body!

All they saw was him dragging the bundle along. No matter how it was wrapped, it was clearly a human. Yet what surprised them even more was the black cat sitting atop the bundle, tilting its head and meowing loudly at Mr. Andersen.

Mr. Andersen seemed utterly unfazed by its anger. He smiled, his voice gentle and polite as usual: "Don’t worry, kitten, almost done... everything will be done soon, really..."

Austin pulled Finn back, looking at his pale, stranded-fish-like face, then furrowed his brow and glanced at Liam.

Liam instinctively shook his head, and Alice sighed. "Let me try a little," she said.

Austin nodded silently.

Light enveloped Finn, and soon he could stand a little straighter.

Alice probed him gently: "How did it feel just now, Finn?"

Finn pressed his lips together. "I don’t know... I just suddenly felt really anxious."

"All right, let’s move. At this rate, we’ll lose track of Mr. Andersen," Liam said, a hint of urgency in his voice.

The others quickened their pace as well. They didn’t question Hermes. Hermes, after all, was the head of The Graceful Shadows; his abilities were formidable. And even if they were worried, they had no idea where he was. The important thing was to focus on the task at hand.

Following closely behind Mr. Andersen, they saw him dragging the bodies out of the mansion, then circling to its back. Along the way, he paused to rest several times, his frail figure appearing as though it might break in two. Sweat drenched his face and hair, as if he had just emerged from a bath, yet the excitement on his face was unmistakable. The path he traversed left streaks of blood that quickly vanished.

Finally, he dragged the corpses to their destination behind the mansion—a vacant lot.

He tore open the outer wrapping, and a large knife immediately fell out, revealing the faces of the dead before them.

Her hair was drenched, fresh blood flowing from her head, covering half her face. The black cat yowled, rubbing against her side, its amber eyes gleaming in the darkness.

Liam frowned as he looked at the woman’s face, just as they had suspected. But confirmation was still necessary.

He turned to Finn and asked, "Is this the woman you saw at the church?"

Finn’s eyes widened, his mouth gaping open, looking anything but sober.

He kept nodding frantically. "Yes, yes, it’s her!"

But immediately after, he noticed the astonished expressions on the others’ faces.

Instinctively, Finn asked, "Meww?"

Only then did he realize something was wrong with himself.

His expression turned to pure horror. He quickly looked over his body—everything was normal. Then he frantically touched his face, clawing at his throat in a frenzy. Strange sounds kept escaping him, but to the others, it sounded like nothing more than meaningless meowing.

Austin stepped forward to restrain Finn, while Alice continued her efforts. Finally, Finn calmed down slightly, clamping his mouth shut and saying nothing further.

"Bang! Clang!"

A series of piercing noises came from the other side, followed by the rhythmic sound of a large knife hitting the ground.

Mr. Andersen was now chopping the woman into pieces. He tossed aside her organs. His knife was extraordinary, cutting through bones as if they were mud.

His movements were methodical, relentless, as he hacked her flesh, his expression serious, with no hint of guilt or fear.

The chunks of meat stuck together, forming a crimson mess. Blood splattered everywhere, soaking the ground and even splattering a bit onto Mr. Andersen’s face.

The black cat prowled nearby, meowing loudly, before suddenly bending down to lick the fresh blood on the ground.

Mr. Andersen raised a hand and stroked his head. "Eat... eat... she’s gone now. No one else will feed you. This is the last meal she left for you. Eat..."

The cat continued its soft chewing sounds, almost drowned out by the slashing of the knife.

At that moment, Liam suddenly felt a strong force push him aside, and Alice was also shoved.

Austin quickly caught her, his gaze cold as he turned toward Finn.

By now, Finn had lunged forward, seemingly starving, relentlessly gnawing at the pieces of meat on the ground.

Previously, their bodies had been intangible, but now the meat was real.

Liam sprinted forward almost immediately, pulling Finn away.
