CHAPTER 313: LOVE HELL - DORIAN’S PART (18)

Nyx and Fiona were dumbfounded, unable to speak a single word. What could they even say?

Fiona knew that if she survived this place, her captain would kill her for that confession.

And Nyx—Nyx had just willingly let herself be buried under a pile of sand! Now the entire world knew she liked Hermes. No... what the hell?! She must have been insane to confess like that! And it was all Fiona’s fault—Fiona had ruined entirely her mental state!

[Ha ha ha, look at Nyx and Fiona—this is hilarious.]

[Imagine Drake’s face when he hears Fiona say she really admires Cocona... he’d actually kill her, ha ha ha.]

[They clearly don’t want to be saved.]

[Dorian must be freaking out right now.]

[I knew this would happen—there’s no way anyone talking like that could die.]

[I really suspect Dorian did it on purpose! Why didn’t he come earlier and wait for that exact moment instead?]

[No, he’s just always sleeping.]

[He’s just an older man, not scheming or competitive—don’t think badly of him.]

Dorian tilted his head slightly, looking puzzled at Fiona and Nyx. "What’s the matter? You two don’t look pleased."

Nyx shot Fiona a silent glare. Fiona blinked, tears still in her eyes, wearing an innocent expression as if she had no idea what she’d done wrong.

Nyx turned to Dorian and smiled. "No, of course we’re happy. Thank you, Dorian."

Dorian chuckled. "Clearly, your moods aren’t perfect. Come, have a cup of tea."

Nyx and Fiona exchanged glances. Their teammates were still fighting while they were being invited to drink tea—how ridiculous did that sound?

But this was Dorian’s invitation; they couldn’t refuse.

Fiona eagerly dashed over, saying thanks as she grabbed the cup and gulped the tea straight down.

Nyx couldn’t help but cast her a disdainful glance, then slowly sipped her tea.

But almost immediately, they suddenly widened their eyes, staring at each other in complete disbelief.

[What’s happening? Is there a twist? What’s with that look?]

[Is there poison in the tea? I knew it—there’s no such thing as a normal god!]

[So Dorian saved them just to kill them?]

[Come on, what could Dorian possibly have done already?!]

But unlike the speculations of the invisible onlookers, Nyx and Fiona looked at each other, and both could see disbelief reflected in the other’s eyes.

Nyx felt her body surge with unprecedented peak vitality with just a single sip, as if she had never struggled underground.

Fiona’s jaw dropped—she nearly wanted to punch herself. How could she gulp down something so precious in just one sip?!

"Are you two alright?" Finally, it was Dorian’s voice that pulled them out of their own thoughts.

Nyx smiled sheepishly, softly replying, "This tea..."

Dorian truly couldn’t understand why humans always seemed hesitant in such moments. He smiled and said gently, "If you like it, drink as much as you want. There’s plenty more in the pot."

Fiona picked up the teapot, summoning all her courage. "Can I take the whole pot?"

Dorian nodded generously. "Of course. Nerio will be very pleased to know everyone enjoys the tea."

"Ne... Nerio?" Fiona’s eyes widened, and Nyx felt something was off.

Dorian nodded. "Yes, Nerio grew this tea. Only he could produce tea this good. I heard it only grows in water..." He trailed off, lost in his own thoughts, speaking almost absentmindedly.

Nyx and Fiona: "..."

[Ha ha ha, so this is Nerio’s tea that Dorian has?]

[These people better hope I don’t meet Nerio next time.]

[But Nerio grows tea? That sounds so unreal... is it really Nerio?]

[I told you Nerio is adorable, but no one believed me!]

[Tea grown by Nerio... are we allowed to know this secret?]

[What is the daily life of these gods like? This show needs a spin-off just about the gods!]

Nyx and Fiona swallowed nervously, but they were already holding the teapot in their hands—there was no turning back.

Surely, Nerio wouldn’t mind. After all, Dorian was being so generous.

But they had no time to dwell on that, because the entire mansion suddenly trembled. Moments later, cracks began forming in the walls—the sound clearly coming from the mansion’s rear!

Alice’s group was still in danger!

Nyx and Fiona rose simultaneously, thanked Dorian, and quickly set off.

Dorian watched their retreating backs, his smile fading slightly. He lowered his eyes and murmured, "Why don’t they want me to go with them..."

He fell silent, as if listening for some answer.

"That can’t be... they’re both good people. You shouldn’t assume the worst," a voice seemed to echo in his mind.

Dorian pressed his lips together, eyes flickering as if he heard something. Slowly, he rose and followed Nyx and Fiona’s path.

[Sometimes he seems so ordinary, other times he looks mentally unhinged.]

[Bringing dual-personality setups here, huh.]

[Alright, honestly, I need a selfcest ship.]

[At this point, people are still saying this? When does Austin die? How is he still alive?]

Alert and precise, Hermes avoided all traps and quickly found the exit. Though the darkness still enveloped him, a faint light glimmered ahead.

In the shadows, Hermes’ eyes flickered slightly. He stepped forward cautiously, observing everything around him.

A massive magic circle was on the ground, over four meters in radius. Its lines glowed with a dim red light—the only illumination in the entire space.

Inside the circle lay a set of entrails, a skeleton, and a thin layer of paper-like skin. The red lines of the circle quivered slightly, producing a sticky, wet sound in the darkness, as if it were alive.

Mr. Andersen knelt on the ground, muttering strange, incomprehensible sounds. The bright red light across his face made his features appear almost demonic.

"Please, appear... appear... give me one more chance. Angelia must be happy—I promised her that. I’m willing to pay any price, anything..."

"Then kill that ant."

A divine voice suddenly echoed from the depths of his mind. Mr. Andersen’s eyes snapped open, glowing red, staring toward the cave entrance. No one was there, yet he didn’t hesitate.

He suddenly crawled to his feet, clutching a large knife, his frail body dragging itself toward the spot.

[Come on, Alex, love will conquer all!]

[Are there really people still siding with this human-disguised monster?]

At the same time, Hermes knew he could no longer remain hidden.

Thin, strong threads shot out all at once, striking first. They wrapped around Mr. Andersen’s body.

In an instant, the sickening sound of flesh and bone being shredded rang out! Hermes’ threads tore Mr. Andersen apart, ripping him into hundreds of pieces that rained onto the ground. The space fell into an eerie silence—Hermes hadn’t expected it to happen this way.

Had Mr. Andersen truly been killed?
