Becoming A Tech Tycoon Begins With Regression
Chapter 137: A Ton Of SP
CHAPTER 137: A TON OF SP
A few hours after the meeting with the three, Ethan found himself back in his new apartment.
This one was located in a neighborhood his current ’salary’ at OmniTech Corp would allow a relatively high end one.
Why not buy one instead?
Simple, that’d just draw too much attention. Plus with his plans for OmniTech, buying a house would just end up being useless since he had no intention to stay in one country for too long.
He leaned back on his couch watching the city through the glass that made up his window.
This really was a big upgrade from his previous apartment, it was pretty spacious and a lot more comfortable.
He leaned back a bit getting comfortable on the couch, "maybe I really do need a bit of sleep."
The other change that happened was that Isabela and the Vigilants had moved to a new, more safer base.
One equipped with every thing they might need. Their current task was basically to try and hack into sentinel with a promised reward on success.
That’d keep them busy for a while, at least until he got a real job for them.
As he relaxed, he suddenly recalled that he had a notification from the system, so he called out, "system, show me the notification."
[Congratulations on creating the tier 3 tech Vitaband.Tech has successfully been added to the inventions tab.
Rewards:
+50 SP, +25 Biotech & Genetic engineering proficiency.]
"Hmm," Ethan let out as the holographic screen appeared in front of him.
According to the system, even if the tech wasn’t entirely created by him, as long as he contributed to a significant portion of its development—or was the one who pushed it past the threshold of possibility—the credit, and the reward, went to him.
In this case, it was the adaptive morphing alloy that had earned him the reward. The alloy was what made the Vitaband possible, and that was his breakthrough.
He scanned through the text again before mentally commanding the system to open details on the new entry.
[Vitaband — Tier 3 Technology]
[Description: A wearable medical device capable of real-time diagnostics, predictive health monitoring, and genetic-level anomaly detection.
Development Status: Prototype Phase — Stable.
Potential Applications
: Civilian Health, Military Bio-Optimization, Medical Research.]
This was a tab that came with version 2 of the system, one that’d show him the description of every one of his inventions which was pretty handy if he had to admit.
"Open status," he ordered and the tabs immediately switched, opening his status screen.

There were a couple of changes to the status screen, but the most attention pulling was his SP.
For the past month, he hadn’t checked it once but it seems Sentinel was doing more than well enough.
The amount of SP he earned at its initial release had been far surpassed thanks to the release of the public version.
This had granted access to everyone else and that was what was responsible for the jump in SP amount.
Ethan’s lips curled faintly as he stared at the glowing digits beside System Points.
"Two-point-eight million..." he muttered. "Guess Sentinel’s been printing money while I sleep."
He could check out the shop but everything he was interested in was either in tier 6, meaning it was restricted and he couldn’t buy it due to the system’s rules, or he could just create them himself which gave him no reason to waste SP.
So he just closed the tabs and finally dragged himself through the living room and to his bedroom.
His body was protesting due to the lack of sleep for, how long now? Was it two weeks?
He had no idea, all he knew was that he was having too much fun creating the liquid metal that sleep hadn’t crossed his minds once.
He was having too much fun.
Ethan pushed the bedroom door open and the lights automatically turned on, bathing the room in a warm glow.
The bed was a massive one that could probably fit five people, which was pretty unnecessary but he couldn’t complain since the company rented the apartment with all their funitures within.
The bed was covered with charcoal gray sheets but he wasn’t paying attention to all that.
Dropping his jacket onto the chair, Ethan made his way to the bed and sat down, exhaling deeply. The mattress dipped slightly under his weight, and for the first time in days, he actually felt the fatigue crawl up his body.
With a yawn, he just sprawled into the bed and soon enough, the sweet hands of sleep embraced him, sending him into slumber land.
***
While Ethan peacefully slept, someone with a recently developed grudge against him leaned back on their chair, looking at the tv in their office.
On the screen was Lillian’s interview she had done in the morning, announcing OmniMed.
There was a frown on the person’s face as she watched the news before she clicked the remote and turned the tv off.
She then press the button on a communicator sitting on her desk before saying, "we need to talk."
100% tier 4 is not equal to 100% tier 3 or 2. every 101% the knowledge moves to the next tier.
