CHAPTER 176: VITABAND’S ANNOUNCEMENT

"A Couple of weeks back, OmniTech’s COO announced that OmniTech Corp will be venturing into the medical field with OmniMed," the reporter said, "and today, we have her back in our studios with an update on the progress towards this direction."

She then turned towards Lillian who was sitting opposite her with a small smile on her face.

"Welcome once again, to our studios." The reporter said.

"Thank you for having me."

"To start off," the reporter said, leaning forward slightly, "there’s been a surge of public interest regarding OmniMed, especially given the recent leaks circling around the Internet about a product your team has been working on, will you address that today?"

"Today," Lillian began, "I’m here to officially announce OmniMed’s first medical device, Vitaband. Our internal tests have concluded, our certifications have been approved, and we’re now preparing for public release."

"So does this confirm that the rumors floating online about a new product from your company?" The reporter asked.

"It does," Lillian said. "And it has surpassed every expectation. Vitaband is a continuous-health monitoring wearable designed to detect early signs of medical conditions long before symptoms appear. It uses micro-sensors and predictive analytics to track cardiovascular patterns, oxygen levels, glucose fluctuations, pancreatic stress indicators, and more."

The host lifted a brow. "That’s... ambitious. Many companies promise that level of detection but never deliver. What makes Vitaband different?"

"That’s the thing, unlike most other companies, we have the results to back us up.," Lillian replied, "Vita band has proven to have a hundred percent detection accuracy across all test subjects. Every anomaly flagged was confirmed by medical professionals."

The shock was evident in both the faces of the crew and the reporter, they seemed completely shocked by her words, but the reporter soon gathered her bearings before clearing her throat and asking,

"And when will Vitaband be available to the public?" the reporter asked.

"Phase one begins in four weeks," Lillian continued. "We’ll be working with selected hospitals to integrate Vitaband into patient monitoring and early diagnosis programs. Phase two expands it nationwide. And phase three, which we expect early next year, will make Vitaband commercially accessible to everyone."

"That’s incredibly fast," the reporter said. "Will OmniTech be prepared for the demand?"

Lillian smiled confidently. "We’ve built OmniTech to scale fast. We’re more than prepared."

"And the price point?"

"Affordable," she said. "Our focus is accessibility, not exclusivity."

"Won’t that just invite backlash?" the reporter asked. "Medical corporations don’t usually appreciate being... disrupted."

"Progress always invites backlash," she said. "But Vitaband isn’t designed to compete with hospitals or doctors. It’s designed to help them. Early detection saves lives and saves resources. Any company or institution that values patient outcomes will welcome it."

The reporter nodded, impressed. "So OmniTech is positioning Vitaband as a partner to the medical industry, not a threat."

"Exactly," Lillian replied. "We’re offering hospitals and clinics the option to use Vitaband’s diagnostics to reduce workload, cut down on late-stage cases, and improve accuracy. Everyone benefits."

"And what about independent users? The everyday consumer?"

"They’ll have access too, we want to create a future where no one has to wait for medical diagnosis, we hope to achieve a future where everyone has immediate insight into their health. That’s the future pulling humanity into."

"And lastly," the reporter said, "given your recent incident abroad... is OmniTech concerned about security? Sabotage? Or even Corporate attacks? Many believe your disappearance was connected to OmniTech’s Sentinel, do you think this will invite more threats."

"I cannot speculate, but you’re right, security is important," Lillian said. "Though, no matter the threat, OmniTech Corp has no intention to slow down or step back from innovation. We will reinforce our systems, protect our people, and continue building."

The reporter leaned in slightly. "So you’re saying OmniTech isn’t intimidated."

"Rather than not intimidated, I would describe it by saying we’re focused," Lillian shook her head as she replied. "OmniTech Corp is not going to allow threats to dictate the direction we move in. We’ll keep our people protected while leading humanity to the future as we promised."

The reporter smiled at the reply, Clearly enjoying this interview, then asked, "and what do you say to companies or individuals who may feel threatened by Vitaband’s capabilities?"

Lillian answered without the least bit of hesitation.

"Adapt."

The studio went completely silent at her words.

"Technology will evolve whether people like it or not," She explained "Our intention is not to eliminate competition, but to elevate standards. If Vitaband pushes the industry to innovate faster, then everyone wins."

"Well... I think that says it all. Mrs. Hayes, thank you for joining us. We wish you and OmniTech the best of luck."

"Thank you," Lillian said with a polite nod.

"That concludes today’s program," the host said, turning to the camera. "Vitaband, soon to be the most talked-about medical device in the country. Stay tuned."

With that the cameras were turned off and both the reporter and Lillian stood up and walked down the news area.

"It’s always a pleasure to interview you, Ms Hayes," the reporter said with a smile as they walked forward, "I’m glad OmniTech Corp decided to patronize out news studio."

Before Lillian could answer the director of the studio approached with a big smile on his face, "Maria is right, ever since OmniTech started making waves, any segment involving your company triples our viewership," he said, shaking her hand warmly. "We’re honored you chose our platform for the announcement."

"It was a pleasure working with your team," Lillian said simply before turning to leave.

"As always," Maria said warmly, "take care, Ms Hayes."

She nodded in response before walking out of the studio and into the waiting SUV.

Ethan meanwhile sat on his apartment as he looked at the news while also viewing the discussions online.

Athena was making sure to fan the flames, so much so that Google’s SEO was tired of the words OmniTech and Vitaband as they were the first thing to be seen with every search.

The ’leaks’ were just a way to build public anticipation for the product before it was actually announced.

It was a basic trick used by most companies to build hype. After all, the more hype around a product, the more interest will build up.

Ethan watched the lines spike upward.

"Athena, how many major outlets have picked it up so far?"

{Fifty-eight. Fox, CNN, ABC, WION, and several international networks. Vitaband is now the top trending keyword globally.}

Great, everything was going exactly as he wanted.
