Chapter 133: 0133 Just curious_1 Chapter 133: 0133 Just curious_1 This, posted online, is just the real life of mortals.
The big director probably wanted to have a discussion with Wanton, but the latter didn’t even want to entertain the discussion and simply resolved it by increasing the payment abruptly.
The big director, who had dominated the industry for years, had never encountered someone who handled things in such a forceful manner. He fell silent for a moment but ultimately agreed.
All right, it wasn’t impossible to coach good acting skills. After all, the female lead wasn’t the most important role in the movie; it’d be fine as long as the other actors could carry the film.
Clinton White thought for a moment and said, “Don’t you plan to tell the Wood Family about your situation?”
Ellen Young glanced at him, “Why should I tell people who have no connection with me these things?”
Clinton White nodded, “I think so too, there’s really no need. What’s your impression of Lucy Wood?”
Ellen Young: “Not bad.”
The two-word response at least indicated that Ellen Young found her tolerable. If she didn’t, she probably wouldn’t even bother to interact with her.
Clinton White clicked his tongue, and Zoe Lewis shouted from the kitchen, “Clinton, hurry up and help!”
Clinton immediately stood up, “Why do you need my help to cook a meal?”
Despite his complaints, he still went to help.
Ellen Young watched him enter the kitchen, propped her chin on her hand, and casually glanced around.
Clinton’s house wasn’t particularly luxurious in decoration, but it had a warm and childish style, with sky blue as the main tone and many cartoon dolls placed around.
This clearly revealed Zoe’s preferences.
Clinton helped Zoe bring out the dishes. Although they knew Ellen Young was coming, they didn’t prepare too many elaborate dishes since Zoe was cooking. But considering Zoe’s culinary skills, the dishes were quite acceptable.
Six dishes and a soup, for three people, was already rather lavish.
When they started eating, Clinton tasted the food and was somewhat surprised, “You really can cook? Why haven’t you cooked for me in all the time we’ve known each other?”
Zoe Lewis looked at Clinton with a grin, “You wish!”
Clinton: “There’s a BOSS here, be classy, for once. You don’t act like a lady at all!”
Ellen Young just watched their banter and found it amusing.
Zoe glanced at Ellen Young and chuckled, “Ellen, may I ask why you agreed to go on the program?”
Of course, Zoe didn’t think Ellen was the kind that liked to show off. If Ellen wished, just revealing her identity would be enough to blow up the Internet for days and nights. She only knew from Clinton that Ellen didn’t want to return to the company for the time being and was staying in the countryside. She hadn’t expected that Ellen would be able to do live broadcasts there.
Frankly, Zoe had never seen such scenery and thought that life in the countryside seemed quite cozy.
For someone with Ellen’s disposition, if she liked such a quiet environment, it wouldn’t seem strange.
Ellen Young said indifferently, “It’s not so much about wanting to or not. Lucy Wood came to ask me on the program, and since I had nothing else to do, I agreed.”
Zoe’s eyes widened with curiosity, “So Lucy Wood really is your biological sister?”
Truth be told, the disparity seemed quite large.
At least Zoe had easily found out Ellen’s biological family.
The status of the Wood Family, compared to Ellen’s, was too different.
Zoe somewhat understood from Clinton that Ellen was likely abandoned by her birth family, and she was very curious about what kind of mess went through the minds of a family like the Woods.
Ellen simply nodded. Under the table, Clinton kicked Zoe’s foot, signaling her to drop the subject. Zoe caught on and immediately changed the topic.
She was just curious about such an “immortal” character.
