Betrayed By My Mate, Claimed By His Lycan King Uncle
Chapter 172: Put a baby in me, Dimitri.
CHAPTER 172: PUT A BABY IN ME, DIMITRI.
Meanwhile, back at Dimitri’s palace...
Sorayah sat quietly in front of Dimitri, her back straight, hands resting stiffly on her lap. Across from her, Dimitri’s gaze remained glued to the official scroll in his hands, as if it were more fascinating than anything she could ever say or do. The silence between them stretched endlessly.
She had been sitting there for what felt like an eternity. Yet Dimitri had not spoken a single word to her, nor spared her a single glance. It was as if she were invisible.
Then, finally, his voice broke the silence.
"Let’s get out of here, Liam," Dimitri said curtly, rising to his feet, the scroll still loosely in his hand.
Without hesitation, Liam began to follow, but before they reached the door, Sorayah stood up abruptly, her voice laced with urgency.
"Your Highness!" she called, stepping forward to grab the hem of Dimitri’s elaborate robe. "I came to see you."
Dimitri paused. He looked down at her hand and then up at her face, his expression unreadable.
"Well, I have something important to do, as you can see," he replied coldly, his voice void of warmth. "Come back some other time."
Sorayah’s eyes narrowed, her patience clearly worn thin. "I’ve been sitting there for what seems like forever," she snapped, her voice rising with frustration. "All I needed was five minutes....just five minutes of your time. But your eyes were glued to that stupid scroll of yours! If you didn’t want to see me, you could’ve just told me to leave. Instead, I sat there until my legs went numb."
Dimitri exhaled audibly and scratched his ear in exaggerated irritation, as though her voice were a bothersome noise rather than something worth listening to.
"Just go back, young lady," he muttered with dismissive finality.
"You’re not going anywhere until you respond to me!" Sorayah declared, her voice firm with resolve. In a swift motion, she shoved him backward onto the chair just behind him. The impact made a soft thud as he hit the seat, his expression turning from indifference to mild amusement.
Leaning forward, Sorayah slammed her hands onto the chair’s armrests, effectively caging him in. Their faces hovered mere inches apart, her eyes blazing, his still cool but more focused now....entirely on her.
Meanwhile, Liam slipped out of the room quietly, shutting the door behind him with deliberate gentleness.
"And what exactly do you plan on doing to me, young lady?" Dimitri asked, one brow raised, a smirk creeping onto his lips. His gaze didn’t waver from hers.
"I just need five minutes," Sorayah repeated, her tone serious and unwavering. "I want to talk to you. It is very important ."
Dimitri sighed, the smirk lingering. "I’m sorry, but my time is far too valuable," he said, brushing off her request. "And I don’t have time for any discussion....at least not right now. Come back later, please."
He tried to rise again, but Sorayah pushed him back down with more force than before.
"Then let me just start talking," she snapped, her voice sharp with purpose. "I won’t waste your time. I...."
Before she could finish her sentence, Dimitri reached up and yanked her toward him by the belt of her gown. The sudden pull sent her slightly off balance, and the force of it caused her belt to loosen slightly without her noticing.
In the next moment, his lips were pressed against hers.
Caught off guard, Sorayah stiffened. Her eyes widened, her breath hitched. Then she pushed herself away from him, standing upright, her cheeks flushed with fury and shock.
"What is wrong with you?!" she demanded, glaring down at him.
"You’re what’s wrong with me, Sorayah," Dimitri responded, his voice low but intense. He stood slowly, towering over her now. His hand slipped to her waist and pulled her closer again, more gently this time. "You only ever come to me when you need something. You never come just to see me."
"That’s because you’re always busy!" she countered instantly, though her voice wavered just slightly as her eyes searched his.
"I’m never too busy for you, Sorayah," Dimitri said, his tone uncharacteristically serious, even vulnerable. "Don’t just show up when there’s news to deliver or something urgent to report. It’s exhausting. You can’t be the only one who decides when we see each other."
He leaned in, his voice dropping. "You don’t let me come to your quarters. Your servants always say you’re asleep by the time I arrive. But I know they’re lying. I don’t blame them, though....you gave the order, didn’t you?"
Sorayah swallowed hard. Her eyes flicked away from his for the briefest moment. She tried to pull away from his grasp again, but this time he let go willingly.
As she stepped back, the belt of her gown finally slipped free, and the fabric parted slightly....just enough to reveal her inner garment. She gasped softly and quickly pulled her robe closed, clutching it tightly at the front.
Dimitri’s gaze didn’t wander, nor did it carry mockery. He looked at her with something far more complex than lust or irritation...something that felt dangerously close to longing and without warning, he swept her up in a bridal carry.
"Put me down! What are you up to now?" she demanded, struggling in his grip, but her resistance was futile. Dimitri’s arms were firm as he carried her across the room.
He walked toward his grand bed and when he reached it, he gently laid her down atop the soft mattress, giving her the chance to immediately adjust and secure her clothing. She did so hastily, cheeks flushed, eyes narrowed.
Dimitri let out a heavy sigh and stepped back, running a hand through his dark hair.
"Are you still angry about the pouch I took?" he asked, his voice low, almost weary. "If I hadn’t picked it up, someone else might have. Besides, carrying something like that around is dangerous. The title Princess was written clearly in front of your name. Anyone who saw it would know instantly that you’re the human kingdom’s royal."
Sorayah’s fingers paused where they clutched her belt, her gaze softening slightly.
"I’m not angry about the pouch anymore," she admitted quietly, her voice subdued. She drew in a breath and exhaled slowly. "I only stayed away from you because I needed time...
"Time to do what?" Dimitri raised an eyebrow.
"Time to think about your love confession. Time to think about everything." Sorayah replied as she swallowed hard.
Dimitri’s eyes locked onto hers, a flicker of interest stirring behind them. Slowly, he lowered himself to his knees before her, resting just at her feet.
"Oh, I see," he murmured, his voice curious now. "So... were you able to think it through? What conclusion did you come to?"
Sorayah hesitated, then offered a small, genuine smile....a smile that made Dimitri’s breath hitch.
"Ma...maybe giving you a chance isn’t such a bad idea after all," she said softly.
The words hit him hard. Shock and disbelief etched across Dimitri’s face, his usual composure cracking for the briefest moment. And then, before he could even react, Sorayah leaned forward and pressed her lips against his.
The kiss started gently, but she soon deepened it, pouring all her emotions into that one bold act. And Dimitri....caught off guard but entirely captivated kissed her back like his very existence depended on it.
’The Empress Luna will no doubt return with a child from outside the palace. Even if she’s executed later for such a crime, she will still rule the harem for a few years. If I want to fight her and win... I must give birth to a prince of my own.’
’For this revenge plan of mine to succeed, I must bear the future king....a child of mixed blood who can rule over both Werewolves and humans. This is the only path to true freedom for my people. A prince born from both worlds.’
She clutched the fabric of Dimitri’s robe tightly in her fists, her thoughts dark and resolute.
’Dimitri was cursed never to father a child. But no one told him the truth that his curse could only be broken by lying with the human princess destined for him which is me. Putting a baby in her will undo the curse the moment the child is born.’
’The creator of this world made the Werewolf kingdom slaughter humans so I would grow to hate them....so I would never want anything to do with them, let alone bear a child for one. And yes... I do hate them. I hate that they took my perfect life, my parents, my people. But with the birth of a child who carries both our blood, I will reclaim what was taken. I will take vengeance through life, not just death.’
’When Mellisa returns, she’ll regain harem power. She’ll grow even more ruthless. She’ll poison the wombs of every concubine like before. But if I’m already pregnant with Dimitri’s child, such poison won’t work on me. Not anymore. And when I give birth... I’ll teach her a lesson she’ll never forget.’
Sorayah broke the kiss and looked into Dimitri’s eyes. Her expression was no longer uncertain. It was clear, determined and dangerous.
"Please," she whispered, her voice trembling...but not with fear. "Please have sex with me Your Highness."
The words made Dimitri freeze. A shudder of disbelief coursed through him.
’Put a baby in me, Dimitri,’ Sorayah completed the statement silently in her mind.
And then, without waiting for a reply, Sorayah leaned forward again and captured his lips with hers, her kiss more urgent, more intense than before.
