85  Chapter 85: I'm Ruthless! You Can Leave!

Bao Jingyan was half-seated on the sofa, his eyes slightly reddening as he watched her resolute retreating figure.

He pulled out a cigarette but didn't light it, snapping it between his fingers.

"Alright, alright, go then! I know I forced you, shamelessly tainted your innocence, I'm a brute who resorts to violence at the slightest disagreement, having beaten the three members of the Su Family into the hospital, you must be cursing me in your heart."

Bao Jingyan's voice was hoarse to the limit, his gaze fixed on her back.

Su Ruanruan's hand gripped the doorknob.

He felt that he cared too much for this young girl; she can't just walk away so heartlessly.

The girl actually pulled open the bedroom door and left.

Housekeeper Wang was waiting outside, slightly embarrassed to bump into Su Ruanruan leaving.

"Miss Su." He urgently glanced back into the bedroom at Bao Jingyan.

Were the young couple having a fight?

Housekeeper Wang was desperate, hurrying to persuade Su Ruanruan again.

But how prideful was Su Ruanruan?

She went straight downstairs and got into the black car, her earlier resolve now giving way to a certain aimlessness.

To the Bao Family?

That's Bao Jingyan's home!

Thinking this, Su Ruanruan pushed open the car door and got out.

Just getting out of the car, she saw a tall figure standing in the night.

Bao Jingyan stood there, silently staring at her.

"Where are you going?" His voice was huskily unrecognizable.

Then, against her wishes, he pulled her into the hall; all the servants, including Housekeeper Wang, hid away upon seeing the situation, so the large hall was left with just the two of them.

Su Ruanruan was trapped on the sofa, turning her face away in discomfort.

Bao Jingyan looked down at her: "Thinking of just walking away?"

She remained silent.

He asked again: "Where can you go?"

Su Ruanruan's voice was frail: "I've said it's none of your business."

He sneered: "I know you're capable of living on your own, but what about the things you need to deal with? Don't you really want to join the Dijing Research and Development Department anymore?"

"You're despicable and shameless," Su Ruanruan said, furious, her eyes reddening again.

Seeing her like this, Bao Jingyan's heart softened.

His elegantly boned fingers touched the corner of her eye, his voice much gentler: "How am I despicable and shameless?"

Su Ruanruan couldn't say it out loud.

Something stirred in Bao Jingyan's heart, and he leaned close to her ear, murmuring softly: "You really won't have anything to do with me anymore?"

Thinking back to how he had treated her upstairs, Su Ruanruan found she couldn't forgive him.

Her little face was defiant, unwilling to get close to him.

Bao Jingyan knew what the young girl was thinking about; it was just that he had been too rough earlier.

He kissed her cheek gently, his voice husky: "It won't happen again." After saying that, he respectfully let her go.

Su Ruanruan sat up, her voice wooden: "You say it won't happen again now, but the next time you see me talking to Ziqi or spending a little more time with him, you'll again lash out without regard for right or wrong, disrespecting me."

Bao Jingyan's expression changed: "Ruanruan, you're disappointed and hurt by me, aren't you?"

"It's not that."

She still didn't want to pay attention to him.
