Chapter 1524 - 1428: Gu Qichen Really Treats Me Like a Flood Dragon
CHAPTER 1524: CHAPTER 1428: GU QICHEN REALLY TREATS ME LIKE A FLOOD DRAGON
Gong Xue’er put on an expression of grievance.
Gong Xue’er said, "Why is it that all of you suspect me? I knew you and Yangyang would think this way, so I came over to explain."
Gu Qichen said, "We don’t need your explanation. You can leave now. We’ll investigate it ourselves."
Gong Xue’er smiled and said, "I just want to say a few words to Yangyang alone. Don’t you want to know the truth? Maybe I can tell you the truth directly."
Xia Yangyang walked over: "Come in."
Gong Xue’er walked inside.
She scanned her surroundings: "What do you think? Do you like the room I arranged for you? This is the room with the best view in the entire villa."
Gong Xue’er walked to the window and looked down.
Below was the open-air swimming pool, the gentle azure of the water shimmering faintly under the moonlight.
Xia Yangyang wasn’t in the mood to discuss these things with her.
Xia Yangyang said directly, "Xue’er, what exactly do you want? What will it take for you to leave me alone?"
Gong Xue’er turned her head.
Gu Qichen was standing nearby.
Gong Xue’er said to Gu Qichen, "Mr. Gu, I’d like to talk to Yangyang alone for a moment. Could you step out for a bit?"
Gu Qichen’s voice was cold: "Sorry, no."
Gong Xue’er laughed: "What, are you worried about something happening here? Or does President Gu want to search me, to see if I’m hiding any weapon that might harm Yangyang?"
Gong Xue’er was wearing a simple beach dress, without pockets.
Naturally, she couldn’t have hidden anything.
Gong Xue’er continued, "Besides, even if it came to a fight, Yangyang is a black belt in Taekwondo. I wouldn’t stand a chance, would I?"
Xia Yangyang said to Gu Qichen, "You can step out for a bit. It’s fine, don’t worry about me."
Gu Qichen replied, "I’ll be right outside. Call me if anything happens."
Gu Qichen walked out.
But he only stood at the doorway.
He shut the door loosely, but didn’t actually close it.
Gong Xue’er glanced at the door: "Gu Qichen treats me like a monster. This is your room, I couldn’t exactly eat you alive, could I?"
Xia Yangyang fixed her gaze on Gong Xue’er, her eyes heavy: "Alright, now that it’s just the two of us, can you finally tell me the truth? You’re the one who put the chicken heart shellfish on my plate, aren’t you? You wanted to kill me."
Gong Xue’er said, "Yangyang, trying to trick me into confessing? Do you know how long ago you started using this tactic?"
Gong Xue’er walked over to Xia Yangyang.
She directly reached into Xia Yangyang’s pocket and pulled out a voice recorder.
Gong Xue’er held the recorder in her hand, laughing: "See? You only know how to use this one trick."
Gong Xue’er pressed the record button on the device and began to speak: "Everything needs evidence. The chicken heart shellfish incident has nothing to do with me whatsoever."
After speaking, Gong Xue’er pressed stop.
Then she threw the voice recorder straight into the trash bin beside her.
Xia Yangyang’s brows furrowed even deeper.
This time was different from prior recordings. This time, there weren’t cameras installed in any of the rooms.
Still, she cautiously scanned her surroundings.
Xia Yangyang said, "Alright. Since you’ve figured it out, I won’t bother playing games anymore."
Xia Yangyang took out her phone and other electronic devices, placing them on the table.
She also removed her jacket, then spread her hands open toward Gong Xue’er: "Now, whatever we discuss will only be known between us. There won’t be any evidence left behind. Xue’er, you can speak freely now. You did everything, didn’t you?"
